Hmmm...I'm new to this whole world of pregnancy so I have no idea where to start...
I'm 25 and my boyfriend and I are expecting a little baby girl in January. I try not to be such a mushy sap on my myspace, but here I figure I can tell you I've never been happier ever. I met him in the 7th grade and the first time I saw him I knew he was the one for me. He is an absolute pain in the ass, but the funniest, sweetest, smartest, most ALIVE Gorgeous man in the whole world. I hope our little girl, Kiley Anne Marie Calvin, has his cute nose and gorgeous eyes!
Aside from the lovefest I'm currently dealing with a lot of worries about being a first time mom. All the usual things like Will I drop her on her head? What if she doesn't like me? etc., etc.... I'm trying to remain zen about it, but can't stop those nagging thoughts from creeping in. I've also had lots of dizzy spells lately? And nothing I'm eating wants to stay with me for very long:( The prenatals I was taking made me feel super yucky so Doc switched me to Flinstones w/ Iron (cuz of the whole anemic thing) but those still bring on the yuckiness.

Am I alone here in the fact that the prenatal vitamins, and now even the Flinstones they switched me to, cause a complete lack of appetite and when I can manage to eat it makes me sick??? GRRRR!!!! I am so annoyed w/ it! I'm almost at the point of giving up on these vitamins altogether...
This morning was nice because we managed to stay in bed until 9:00 and even then it was really hard to finally wake up. On the way into work (late, of course) I got some grapefruit juice and he got a beef jerky. Well, silly me decided I would eat some of said beef jerky. Just a friendly little tip for my preggo sisterhood out there: Grapefruit Juice and cheap Beef Jerky DO NOT MIX! (Duh and Lol).
As soon as I pulled into my parking spot @ work it was a not-so-friendly reminder of the joys of morning sickness. BLECH!

By this time next week I'll have had my first 3-D ultrasound. YAY! I'm so excited to actually get a sneak peek at our little girl's face!!:)
I've been able to feel her squirming around for a few weeks now, but now I'm starting to feel more solid kicking type movements. She almost always seems like she's trying to get comfortable in there but I don't feel the kicks that often:( I even try talking to her and/or patting my belly to get her to kick again but no dice so far, she's already an independent spirit, lol. I do think she's rather fond of strawberry banana smoothies though b/c two mornings in a row I've gotten kicks while drinking one.
Yes, I've actually been able to drink smoothies b/c I haven't been taking my evil vitamins. I'll probably guilt myself into starting to take them again but for right now I just need a break from them and their yucky side effects.

I don't blame you if you quit taking them cus they did that same shit to me. And don't let anyone tell you that your being a bad mom if you decide to quit taking them because that is so untrue. Like your B/F said it is more important that you are eating a healthy diet than feeling like crap and not being able to eat. I just don't think the vitamines are for everyone. I know people that haven't had any problems with them and that's nice for them. As far as for me they are not nice to me so I quit taking them. I even tried taking different kinds/brands of them and they all had the same reaction with me. But as long as your doctor says your healthy and the baby is healthy and growing at the right rate I wouldn't worry about.

They are really cool. It's kind of neat to hear people say that he looks like either my husband or me. Seems so early to be able to tell! It's a boy for sure, 100%! I was having a hard time with the whole boy thing, but now that I have gotten to see him, I am getting pretty attached!

Hey I read how you were having problems with the prenatal vitamins making you sick, and I just wanted to let you know that you aren't the only one. I tried and tried to take mine but they just kept making me sick. As soon as I quit taking them I was fine and I have had very healthy pregnancy, and I am in week 34. I think as long as you are eating healthy that you shouldn't worry about it too much. I just don't think they are for everyone.

Hey there. Yeah its odd, i have gone to a couple starbucks and they have told me that they don't do decaf when others will. I just about jumped over the counter one time because i had just gotten a decaf at the same 'bucks the day before. lol - gotta love consistency.

So that was week 16...thats means 9 more weeks, until I find out. Seems like forever. I have heard that happening BUT they are usually pretty good at figuring it out. For me the odds are a girl. Let cross are fingers. Take car of yourself, must be nice to be past the scary 1st trim.

Oh, you don't know the sex yet either? When can we find out? Actually, girls are easier as babies/toddlers, boys pee all over you and once they are moving very busy, hands on. The toughest part of girls is the teenage years. Either way both pros and cons...can't wait to know, good luck.

Hey, thanks. Congrats to you too! Ummm, well I guess a girl. Only because I have strawberry blonde hair with blue eyes and really don't want to have a strawberry blonde hair boy. But my parents both had brown hair and brown eyes along with my 2 older sisters...? My mans hair is dark brown, his parents dark brown and blonde. What you think?
