I have been married 5 years and this will be our first baby. I miscarried last December at 11 weeks so I am a nervous wreck, but very excited! I am a teacher and have been real lucky to spend my first 3 months of pregnancy at home on the couch! I am so happy to have made it to my second trimester! I had a 12 week ultrasound and the baby looked perfect!

Everything is going well so far! At 20 weeks, we learned that we are having a girl!!! She looked happy and healthy!

11/28/07 Today I was having contractions at work and went to the hospital. They were every 2 minutes! The nurse gave me 3 shots to stop the contractions and an IV and sent me home. I am not dialated so that is good. I am on bed rest now. I am really nervous about my classroom surviving without me! I am really nervous about my baby too. :( I am only 25 weeks!

11/29/07 I went back to the hospital today with more contractions, every 30 seconds. I got more shots and was sent home with an rx. I hope the medicine works.

12/4/07 I am on my 7th day of bed rest and bored out of my mind! I am stil having contractions, but they are random. I am afraid I will not be allowed to go back to work.

12/19/07 28 weeks now and I am still having contractions. My doc decided to keep me at home on bedrest for the remainder of the pregnancy. I wish this wasn't happening this way. I just feel blessed that my little girl is still staying safe inside me for the moment.

01/13/08 32 weeks now and I am still pregnant!!! I am also still on bedrest and bored out of my mind! The contractions are still going and they seem to hurt more. I had an ultrasound at 30 weeks and the baby weighed 3 lbs and 4 oz. She looked great! She is also definately a girl!

01/30/08 I've made it to 34 weeks!! I had a little scare again last night. I was having contractions every 2 minutes and had to go to L&D. The Terbutaline shots worked and they sent me back home. I will be on bedrest another 2 weeks, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now!

02/02/08 Last night, my dog was about to throw up, so I got up and rushed him into the bathroom. Somehow I ended up falling down real hard. My knee is all bruised up and my neck is sore like I had whiplash. Anyway, the doctor said I need to go to L&D to be monitored for a while. I did and the baby is fine.

2/26/08 Well, I can't believe that I am 38 weeks now. I am off bedrest and off the meds, but no baby! I can hardly believe that! I am just happy to get things ready for the baby now, and move around! The contractions are pretty much constant though and I pay no attention to them. I am more worried about my blood pressure right now.
