hi! how are things with you and your belly? i'm hoping all is well...------i have news...leo olafur magnusson was born on may 13th at 1:21 pm, weighing in at 7lbs 2 ozs and 20 inches long. a version of his birth story is on the 38wk page, if you care to read it... i will put it and a photo on my page...eventually! this is one tricky job, being a mommy! kudos to you who have done it! keep in touch! :) proud and happy mommy, micaela

hi! what strange timing to hear from you...i was thinking yesterday that i had not heard from you in ages...then there you were in my in box today!!! fun! are you still having your c-s on the 20th? i am still on for an induction. i will go in at 6pm on may 11th and get cervidil administered that night. after 12 hours they will take out the cervidil. one of my 2 doctors was telling me that i may go into labor (not as likely) because of the cervidil. after they take out that cervidil i will be allowed to shower and have a light breakfast...then time for the "big guns". the pitocin. so, guess i'll have my boy on the 12th??? hope you are feeling well still...i know i am slowing way down and waking up feeling hungover! i can't imagine waiting 2 weeks or longer (our real due dates) to have this guy!!! wishing you a good day!...or night as it may be for you! :) micaela

Ahhh...the last month or so is torture! Kaeden was induced. I convinced the dr. to do it cuz my mom lives in Florida and she came up for spring break (she's a teacher) and I really wanted her there with me since I had no hubby or bf to be in there with me. I'm glad he was induced tho cuz he was 9 lbs, 13 oz and that was 2 days early. Imagine if I had been a week late! You're almost done...hang in there.

hi kim! good to hear from you! so, a c-section for you? may 21st? i am being induced at 38 wks due to the gestational diabetes. so, that will be may 12th. actually, that's 2 weeks different by the calendar. i will find out more at my next routine appt. which is on april 21st. who knows how they will choose to set it up. i wonder if they'll admit me to the hospital the night before and then start bright and early the next morning? i hate wondering! i am a bit of a planner, so will be very happy to have more of a plan... how are you feeling?? i have to say i am physically doing good. i am mentally a bit cuckoo though! quite the jekyll and hyde here! i am soooo moody. we are finally getting consecutive sunny spring days here, so the good weather is helping me feel better. i am trying to get ready for this the best that i can...considering i have no idea how this whole thing really works! i need to read up on the induction! we do have an intensive labor education class on april 26th. that'll help, we hope. well, hope things are good with your little one...and your big kids too! enjoy your day! micaela

What did it say on the internet about rapid fetal movements? You mentioned that? I haven't looked up anything on it. My baby hasn't done it in a while, so I feel a little better. Does your do it when you are up and walking around also? MIne only has done it when I'm sitting still...relaxing.

at night when i am trying to settle down i feel my baby moving like crazy, well i thought it was my baby, i asked my doctor about it, because the movements felt more like spasms and hard twitches..i thought it might have been my baby and that something was wrong, but the doctor said not to worry that it was most likely my uterus spasming, and if it was my baby that he was fine, and there was nothing really to worry about. hello there! i really enjoyed your last email. it was fun to hear about your kids and what they are up to. you must be so proud...and exhausted too! are you feeling well? i just read the page today for the first time since friday. i am not experiencing any 'bh' contractions. by the sounds of them, i am lucky i am not! i am feeling a bit more movement from my little boy. i am just beginning to feel them occasionally from the outside. i keep telling my husband that he should be able to feel him any day now. it must be kind of strange to be the hubby, not feeling any of this physically. did i tell you about my annoying last appt. with my obgyn? apparently he knows nothing about genetics. he had us a bit spooked by saying we needed another genetic consult and that the baby needed a heart echo! what?! then the next morning the office where he had scheduled those things called. it was the same office where the amnio was performed. they said i did not have to have either done. how confusing! i am however, having another in depth ultrasound on the 24th. that's fine with me! any chance to see our little man, we will take! oh, and they upgraded the equipment to include a recordable dvd! so we get to take a disc home! well, i've taken enough of your time!!! hope you are having a lovely day! ;) micaela

hiya kim! i know, i dropped off of the face of the earth! sorry about that! i was SO excited to read your message about how you received your amnio results! talk about being proactive! good for you!!! congrats on finding out your little one is okay! i have been feeling movement. first time was late on xmas night. just a tap then. ever since, it's been a bit more frequent, but not too heavy. just light taps. it is so amazing. we just came off of an exhausting 4 day weekend. we went to a local chain store that buys and resells used baby equipment. we happened to be there when a woman was bringing in some very nice items to sell. we jumped on her. well, it seemed like it!! we bought 2 very nice pack n' play units, a bumbo, a boppy, 2 stroller frames, etc. and it only cost us just over 200$. to top it off, she gave us her phone number and we went to her house on saturday. she gave us a baby tub, a very nice graco swing that converts to a bouncy seat, 2 car seats, and the biggest bag of clothes you've ever seen! (she had adopted twins and they are now 11 months old. so she wanted to be free of all of the baby things. she is also an attorney, so was able to afford very nice items.) i tell you, it was all so amazing. we gave the duplicate items to my mom and dad upon their request. they are soooo excited to become grandparents. i have been so very tired. maybe it's just because i've been so busy? oh, and my mom has a co-worker that has promised us a crib. this is all so overwhelming. our poor 1184 sq. ft. house is so crowded with nice things. we are so grateful. i hope you are doing great and that you had a wonderful time over the holidays. any new symptoms? take care! micaela

hi kim, well, i don't believe it! we got the call with the amnio results! it's crazy since the test was done on the 14th! anyway, our boy is okay. he just has the same balanced translocation as his daddy. which causes fertility issues. so, i'm hoping you get your results sooner than expected. hope you are well, m
