Hi every one. Hope the pregnancies (or trying to conceive) are
going well. I found out at about 30 weeks
that I had Gestational Diabetes. I gained about 30 lbs by then, a
couple times as much as 4 lbs per week, but started following the
diabetes diet and only gained a total of 35 lbs. She is about three weeks old and I've already lost about 25 lbs.
I also recently
received a pregnancy discharge from the army (it was optional and a
decision my husband and I both agreed on). I'm really enjoying being a stay at home mom and my little girl is so adorable. We named her Jodie Rose Depto.
Thanks for reading. Have a great day!

Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Monday, 4 August LOL I had to laugh when I read your post about how much your baby poops in a day. My son has been the exact same way it is just crazy he has at least 5 poopy diapers a day minimum, it's probably more like 7. That and then he waits til I change him and he decides to load up his clean diaper so I have to change him all over again. Ahhh babies are just too funny aren't they? Anesha -
Tuesday, 22 July Thank you so much! OMG I read your page. You are due in 6 days. WOW! How are you feeling? Yup I made it the through a year of nursing. I can't believe it myself. It was not always easy. It would have been much better if I was a stay at home mom. You are so petite and pregnant. I hope I carry well my second time around. newmommy0723 -

Friday, 18 July Hey hun! I'm not getting an epi. I had one with my first baby and it was a nightmare. I have a curvature in my spine so it was very difficult for them to get it in place. Once it was in place, it really didn't even do much for me except make my legs feel numb. I've been reading alot on natural childbirth and I personally think it's a much better way to go. And you are right, unmedicated births are pretty uncommon these days. My dr told me that only 10% of births at the hospital I'm delievering at are unmedicated. I'm glad to join that 10%! Best of luck to ya! dsmrwtnttn -
Thursday, 17 July I'm going to pass on the epidural. My mother only had one with my brother (he's the 2nd of 6 kids) because he was face up, which makes labor harder.
Both of my sisters went without an epi (although my oldest sister WANTED one, just didn't get it in time).
I hear that it can cause back problems in the future & often if not used correctly can lead to many other interventions like pitocin & c-sections if it slows down labor too much. Of course, there also lots of stories from women who say the epi was wonderful. So good luck, whatever you choose! Angiepangie -
Thursday, 17 July Had I been getting the VBAC that I wanted, (I'm not because my guy is breech), I would have passed on the epidural. I think it can be a great tool for managing pain, but I also know that it is often given too early(and too strong),and this can stall or even arrest labor. See if they have something called the 'walking epidural' available at your hospital. That way if you do change your mind, you're not stuck in the bed for 12 hours. Mobility and being able to feel at least a little is so important for a speedy and tear-free birth. I know lots of ladies haven't had a problem with epi"s, but I know more who have than who have not...they seem to lead to longer labors, assisted with pitocin, episiotomies...well, you get the idea. 1st-time-mommy -
Saturday, 12 July HI! thanks for your reply =) yes, I tried hard to brush it off even though it got to me.. hormones suck! i can easily let go of "huge" comments esp coming from those who don't know what it is like to be pregnant, but i think the "twins" comment is very rude when they know you're not having twins. but thanks again, you look GREAT too! we are sooo close to being due.. i am soo excited to see her but a bit sad my belly will be gone because i love it no matter what anyone says :D congrats on your GIRL! I love the name jodie rose too. I was going to name her Tristen but ppl kept sayin it's a boy's name but I tend to like tomboyish names, even though kayla has the opposite effect hehe.. well hope you're having a FAB day and gluck to the rest of your pregnancy

Tuesday, 8 July hi there...im from week 28. I was just diagnosed with GD and im having a really hard time with this. Im following the diet my nutritionist gave me. But my levels are still coming up between 2 and 6 points higher then they should be. Is there foods i can eat to help bring this down? Im so upset, im trying to do the right thing for me and the baby but i feel stuck and trapped with this whole diet thing. Any suggestions? Andrea47 -
Wednesday, 2 July I am 18 weeks and about as small of a bump as you. I was starting to get freaked out but now I'm better.
