WEEK 7: Went for my first scan today. I am showing as being 7 weeks, which is what I thought. Saw the little heartbeat ! Everything seems to be ok. Still feeling really sick though. Roll on 12 weeks. Hopefully I will not feel as bad !!! I have to try and carry on as normal chasing after my youngest, who is into everything!! Bless him.

Friday 4th May 2007

WEEK 8: Well this week has not been a very good week. I have felt sick almost all day every day! Finding it hard to carry on as normal. I will have my first midwife appointment on the 14th. Cant wait for them. Hopefully I will get to hear the heartbeat then.

Sat down to watch the Panorama programme lastnight about our NHS hospitals. Wish I hadn't !!!!! I had an experience like this when I had my first child Jake. Thats why I went to a different hospital to have my second child Reece. I had such a better experience there. I had a midwife with me at all times, and she was really nice. Hope it is going to be like it this time.

Anyway I am eating little and often to try and help my sickness. Still have a backache and I am bursting out of all my trousers! My friends and family have been great, taking it in turns to take my youngest out for an hour for me. I have nicknamed him Taz. He is into everything and he amazes me the things he gets up to. I do feel sorry for him though. I am trying not to pick him up as much, but as he is only young himself he does not understand !!

Monday 14th May 2007

WEEK 9: Had my first midwife appointment today. Took my bloods even though it took nearly half an hour to get any blood. Everything seems to be ok. Really sick this morning, and to make thing worse my youngest son has CHICKEN POX !!! I had the test, and I am fine to be around him. My oldest son is off school with swollen glands. Both are running a high temperature. So basically the past few days have been great!!!! I really need to be feeling better at the moment.

Week 10: Hi, hope everyone is ok. I am feeling much better lately. Not as sick! I have my Nuchal scan on the 6th June and I am having a cardiac scan for the baby done the day after. I am back with the specialist for my pregnancy as Jake had a heart defect.

I am starting to show a bit now. Cant fit into any of my jeans etc. Good excuse to go shopping though, and now I dont feel as sick I can go out without worring if I would be running to find a toilet !!

The boys are well again, Reece just has a few marks left by the spots.

WEEK 11: Well nearly there. I am within reach of the second trimester. Had a really bad time the end of last week through to the beginning of this week. I could not keep anything down, even water. In the end I was so ill I had to have anti-sickness tablets. I had them whilst I carried Reece too. After about 3 days of taking them I managed to start keeping things down. I have not had to take any now for 2 days, so hopefully that will be the end of that. Knock on wood!!!!!

I have had a few fluttery feelings week. I know that you feel the baby move earlier with each pregnancy. When was the earliest you felt yours move? Please let me know. It still feels a dream at the moment. I have not heard the heartbeat yet. I know I have seen the scan at 7 weeks but it is not until you hear the heartbeat that is real for me.

I have my Nuchal Scan next Wednesday and the Cardiac scan on the Thursday. I cant wait.

WEEK 12: We went for my Nuchal scan today. Everything looks good. Got three lovely pictures. The baby looked like it was sucking his/her thumb. All the measurements were spot on too, which has made me feel much better. I have the Cardiac scan tomorrow to check the baby's heart.

Sickness is still here, but now it seems to just come along when I get hungary.

WEEK 13: I keep thinking that the sickness is going then I have a day of constantly talking to the toilet. I am having to go out and buy maternity clothes now. I think I can feel the baby moving now. I spoke to the midwife who said it is possible to feel it now. The more pregnancies the earlier you are able to feel it apparently. I felt Reece move when I was about 14-15 weeks. Jake not until 16-18 weeks.

I hope everyone else is doing ok. I really can not decide if I should find the sex out this time. Part of me wants to, but then I would like to still have the surprise at the end!! I think with having the 2 boys I would really like to have a girl. I lost my mum to a heart attack nearly 4 years ago (She was only 50), and I would like to name one of my children after her. As I said before though. As long as it is healthy I dont mind. I could end up with a football team !!!!
