Hi, Kirsten! You don't have to worry if I'm offended about what you said about the name Shelby. It's not my cup of tea for a human first name. It's a HILARIOUS cat name, isn't it? Well, perhaps you'd have to see our Shelby to feel that way, but we will have these moments where we'll just crack up over this grey striped cat having the name "Shelby'. When I hear it as a human name, I always think of Steel Magnolias--Julia Roberts's character. Even though I've always lived in the South, I'm from a New England family, and so I feel like you, that it sounds very country--that singer Shelby Lynne, for example. That's a nice way of saying that it sounds like a redneck name, hahaaaaaa! And here you've been, keeping that opinion to yourself all this time and there they are, just rudely sticking their opinions of your choice out there. Grrr....

Ya that happens. My friend was told her baby was 9'4 at birth & only 18" long he would of looked like a ball & didn't the next week at his wic appt he was 21" no way he grew 3" in a week. Plus if you gained 5lbs in a week you'd probably be really swollen, so u'd know.

I would much rather have the NP over my doc - that is pretty sad!! My husband likes the NP better too - he says she is more interactive with him and makes an effort to make sure he is involved - after all, it's his baby too!

I feel that way too, but it's not from the backache, it's from the sharp pains and tightening that I keep getting. I can just be walking along and it's like "OW, SHIT, FUCK!" And I have to stop and find something to hold onto just to keep from falling down.

Well, I certainly hope you have better luck today. That doesn't sound good about your legs, especially with them turning purple. That sounds like a circulation issue. :( That's what I'm concerned about, that I'm in slow labor and not progressing well. I don't want to be causing the baby any distress because it's taking too long. :( Let me know what you find out at your appointment, GOOD LUCK!

I just started having the lower backache and cramps on Sunday, woke me up from a dead sleep. So it's not like it's just normal aches, ya know? Normal aches from carrying all this weight aren't just ALL OF A SUDDEN going to wake me up in the middle of the night. It has been non-stop since then, until late last night/early this morning. I noticed that it started easing up a bit and just happening intermittently, instead of non-stop. But, now I keep getting some pretty good tightening going on down low (have been having contractions up high for a while now) and some sharp pains that I never got before. It hurt like hell just to lie on the freakin' table, just made my tummy tighten that much worse. And he was pushing around on it, to feel the baby's position. I can't believe he didn't notice! What you went through sounds exactly like my mom!

Yeah I've begun getting utterly annoyed with people the last few days too. Mostly my best friends. They call and I get in a bad mood! I feel so guilty, but I cant help it! I think its because here I am sore and uncomfy and they call all peppy and happy. Its not fair! So if you go into labor soon, then maybe there is hope for me too!LOL!

Wow, I have the same exact problem with my eyes, I have asked my doctor but he just said that vision problems during pregnancy are normal- totally blows me off. It is scary but it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one. BTW, I have had it for over a month and it isn't getting worse so I try and not worry about it. :-)

Yeah I know it is funny. I think it will be easier to lose than if I never lost that first amount of weight though. Especially since now I kinda figured out losing weight is not some miracle-just hard work! I was just getting comfortable in my new skinny butt too... Hopefully I can get it back

I know what you mean. It's really disappointing. :( I'm getting SO impatient! I made toasted ham & cheese sandwiches, tomato & basil soup, and cesar salad for supper. I just stuck with the soup and salad, but made the sandwiches for hubby. I have been craving cesar salad, mmmmm!!! I'm sure I'm going to regret the tomato basil soup, though. Good thing I just restock on my economy-sized bottle of Tums, lol.

a hot bath (but not too hot ) eased my preasure last night but pains were still coming seen midwife today and all the preasure down below is normal but just uncomfy i dont no if im dialating they dont check u over here xxx

Ugh. :( We just got back from the doc. NO PROGRESS. I'm officially convinced that our son hates me. I asked if he had at least dropped. Doc said, "Not really." Nice, real effin' nice, lol. Then he comforted me by telling me that a lot of women go to 41 weeks with their first child, he's seen it quite often. I told him thanks for the reassurance. :P DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!! lol

About you being so upset at everyone, a friend of mine delivered her baby at 37 wks recently. She said the last week or so, she was easily irritated by people. Thats how she knew she was close! So maybe baby for you soon?
