This is my first child, although my husband has a 6y/o daughter and 4y/o son that stay with us every other week. I had BABY FEVER in about September of 07 and we talked about it a lot and decided that there was no reason to be in a hurry so we would hold off for a while...well I think it was a week before Thanksgiving when I realized that my period was late. Took the test and was totally shocked that I was pregnant. It took some getting used to but we are so thrilled and cannot wait to meet him/her. I have had bad MS ever since about 6 weeks and now it is much more controllable (perhaps because I have learned what/when to eat so that I dont get sick) although I still have those days out of nowhere where I cant keep anything down and feel nausious all day. Had my first OB visit on 1/21 and got to hear the heartbeat and see the first ultrasound. My next appt. is on Monday, 2/18.

ITS A BOY!!! Tommy John Allen, III will be here in July. As soon as she put the thing to my belly, WHAM there was a butt shot and he showed us the goods. Its a good thing we WANTED to know or else that would have ruined a big surprise.

Well I went to the doctor yesterday for my monthly visit. I have gained a total of pounds so far. The heartbeat was very strong again, 157 bpm. The doctor told me that they saw a shadow on my baby `s heart in the 20 week 3D ultrasound so he wants to schedule another one after my next monthly appointment. Good news is that normally is a marker for DS but my AFP came back negative about 3 weeks ago. Hopefully it is nothing...

thank you for the message, no concern was mentioned of when i went for the scan but what you have said has helped. hopefully when i do go for to my next M/W appoint she will be able to discuss then aswell.

Hi there and your welcome on the info. I'm sure they won't sell out of the mobile but in worst case senerio you can find it on Ebay too. Thats so Awesome you guys love the Steelers enough to get the mobile and the blanket. Both mine and my husbands family are all in Pittsburgh so at my baby shower I got tons of Steeler baby cloths that are just too cute. They are so easy to get up there you can buy them at walmart and kmart in Pittsburgh. I'll post pics of the nursery when its done.

So I dont think my doc even makes a record of the baby's heart beat. He pretty much listens for 5 seconds just to make sure it sounds normal. Then when I went for my ultra sound last week they said they wouldnt have any information until the radiologist reviewed all of the prints. But then I dont go back to the doctor until May 14, so by then the baby will be much larger so the old numbers wont make a difference. Grrr. so frustrating.

oh honey, aren't those leg cramps the worst. i got them really bad with my 3 previous preg. but so far none w/ this baby. eat a bananas every other day or so and you should be fine (don't eat them too often as they will constipate you) good luck..

We are def in the same boat. I can kinda help with projects now too but I also worry about how big I am going to be soon! I don't know how much help I will be in a month or 2. Our house is chaotic too because we are moving everything around, painting everywhere. I am stressed too because we will be getting new carpet in next month and have to move it all around again. I am such a control freak.. I want it all to go perfectly. At least the process has started with both of us!

Hi there! Thanks for the congrats on my daughter-Im so happy, no more big belly LOL! As for the stretch marks-I just cake on the baby oil like 3x a day-but people try that too and it doesnt work?! I dont know-I think Im the only one with 2 kids and NO stretch marks-I'm also very skinny maybe thats why?! But goodluck with the pregnancy & all the best!!

Hey sweetie,
Congrats on your pregnancy! My best friend is 18 weeks pregnant and they found a tumor on her baby's lung and it's pushing her boy's heart. She's going crazy. I'm glad to hear that your tests came up neg. As for the cramps, I've been feeling the same thing without the bleeding so I'm guessing it's just the uterus stretching again. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, but keep us posted.

Hello, Baby Girl knows I'm prego too, that's weird, she's always putting her nose on my belly, and she follows me everywhere, she also is more curtious around me. I swear if I'm upset so is she, she's real maternal anyways so I know she knows, she's right up there with Lexis, lol. have a good day.

try to stay calm it will seem like a really long wait. i had alot of problems with my first pregnancy and they tested me throughout. they prefer to be safe and check everything over for sure.

I Know how you feel. My mind was too but I have been to a couple other appointments and the heartbeat is strong. He tells me not to worry but we are mommys how can we not? Worrying causes more stress to the lttle ones then we know so just let that baby get bigger and leave the worrying to those that have real problems as we are fine =)

Hi, I read yoru post and my son too has a 'shadow' That was February 11th. They are goign to wait until the baby is a little bigger to do another U/S which is scheduled for APril 11th. My Dr told me not to worry at all as heartbeat is strong and whent hey are that little depending on their position it is just difficult to see all the chambers. I guess it is really common.

Oh god I hope not. I'm so worried that he'll try and kidnap my baby. LoL sorry I am stressing out a lot right now and i'm not even close to having the baby. But I think in the next 7 months he'll cool his jets a little and won't be so uptight about the whole wanting full custody.

Oh my goodness thank you so much. I mean i'm trying to be the one to compromise with him and he just keeps threatening me and iono sometimes the stuff he says just gets to me. Thanks though. I really appreciate it. If he does take me to court I hope they find me in favor.
