Hey! I'm Krystle. I'm 23 years old and live with my boyfriend Zach. We have an unbelievable daughter named Riley. She was born June 6th, 2008. She's amazing! We also have two cats Sadie and Zeus. I'm so grateful for finding this site while I was pregnant. If not I honestly don't think I could have survived!

Wednesday, 18 June Yeah, so far things are going alright. Malachi is up and I just finished eating dinner. At least I got that done! I was going to do dishes earlier but Chris left before I got the chance and I can't hear Cayden over the water so I won't do them until he comes home. Malachi is still eating. I told him if he eats all his dinner he can have some ice cream. I wish I had someone that could come help out. All of our family is AT LEAST 3 1/2 hours away. It sucks. We don't have any friends around here either since we just moved here 2 months ago. mplsmama -
Wednesday, 18 June Hey there, sounds like you're doing pretty well! I had to write you b/c I just experienced my 1st bout of Maisie's projectile poop! OMG it startled me so bad I just started to laugh my ass off! She shot it across the changing table & all over the baby wipes container. It was too funny.
Glad to hear you're healing well. My only words of advice is to take it somewhat slow when you 1st get out & about. I was out for about 2 1/2 hrs, and walked quite a bit in that time, and it was just too much. I'm trying to walk a bit more every day, but I have to be realistic. I'm just so antsy sometimes it's hard for me to just slow down this much! Oh well.
Glad to hear you're doing well w/ Riley even though Zack's back at work! I think we're probably better at this mom thing than we think we're going to be.
I am still bf'ing, and I usually pump about 2x per day after the feedings. We're trying to wean her off though. I'm really close to just pumping & doing bottles, though, too. The feedings are still taking close to an hour & it's really getting annoying. She falls asleep on the breast & I waste so much time trying to wake her up. But she takes the bottles so quick so I'm just starting to feel like this bf'ing thing is taking a little too much of my energy! We'll see.
I got Maisie to look at me for a while today, thank goodness. I was starting to get a complex that she's more attached to Dan or something. I'm trying not to force it, but it was really bothering me. I read in one of my books that they'll often stare at mom's hairline, chin, and even clothes around the neckline... so that made me feel better... like maybe she really is looking at me, even if it's not into my eyes. Yeah, she definitely doesn't gaze at me like those breastfeeding commercials! LOL
I can't believe how quick they grow. I swear Maisie looks bigger & different than when she was 1st born. We may only have one child, so I'm trying to cherish every moment! I'm trying to write down as much as I can in a journal, but I feel like I can't get it all down, there's too much I want to remember! We're such geeks, we've already taken 300 pics of her on our digital camera. :)
Well, I'm off to feed, yet again! When can we start feeding every 4 hrs, instead of every 3? Does Riley wake a lot at night? Maisie usually gets up around 1 am and 4am. Last night I did the 1 am, and I had Dan bottle feed her at the 4 am. Helped a ton! raynbowmami -
Wednesday, 18 June Oh she cries. This child has some lungs onher. She hates to be naked. So changing a diaper is a challenge. LOL Oh and she refuses to eat if her diaper is dirty. She gets frustrated so I have to change super fast and get the boob back in her mouth before she loses it. Today though I had to just let her cry and she finally just fell asleep. Very heartbreaking but I had to do it. But I can't wait until the personality really kicks in. mariela14 -

Tuesday, 17 June Ya alot!!! I tore on my right side so close to my clit...that it throbs when I stand and bc thats so sensitive I worry that its going to have an effect on sex. And I had an episiodamie, I dont think the Dr. could have counted the stitches if he wanted to. lol but ya the fact that the Dr didnt know he was posterior was a real treat!!! I would have hands down opted for a c-section had he told me.I am so happy to hear that yours went well! Everyone thought I was crazy when I said I wanted one, but now after 30 hours of labor and the crotch pain I am opting for the stomach pain much quicker and you can take care of it easier! So whens your next check up Camdens 2 week is this Thursday I think I will cry once I get home 2 weeks!!! Time is going by so fast. How is the sleeping schedule? Are you guys doing OK? *bree;; -
Tuesday, 17 June its supposed to get easier when they grow. but i swear, their mouths are the last thing that grows. it hurts SOOO bad. ive cried a few times. its rediculous. i would pump, but whenever i get the chance to, shes hungry. and sometimes i dont even have enough to pump. i might now tho that ive cut out formula. i had to give her a bit yesterday but it was after i fed her. so not a full feeding. raynbowmami -
Tuesday, 17 June You know I am so happy to be unpregnant. Uh oh I hear her. And so it begins. LOL preciousangels2 -
Tuesday, 17 June I WILL get my 3 kids! LOL Have you thought about what you're going to do for birth control??? *bree;; -
Tuesday, 17 June yeah, this one eats insanely too. she eats about 3oz aswell every 2 to 3 hours. we let her sleep at night though. she would wake us up in the night if she wanted to eat. last night she didnt eat for 6 hrs and she slept 5 1/2 but during the day she doesnt sleep much and eats constantly it seems. lol. i started using formula too much so my supply decreased, but now shes content :] how long does she feed for? she feeds for about 30 to 45 mins. but if i pump it for her, shes done in like 10 lol rochelle -
Monday, 16 June no kidding that makes me feel better...I am glad to hear I am not the only one not hungry. I feel bad so I still take my prenatel vitamins. Have you left your house yet? I am dying to get up and out but its so hot and I am still so sore from the rip and cut!!! Did I tell you Camden was posterior and the Dr. had no idea??? idiots I should have just had a c-section at least then my sex life wouldnt have changed lol maybe that was tmi - sorry. I hope your healing well how is a c-section by the way would you do it again? I am serious about having one with the next baby! Well I hope that you and rylie - I hope I spelled her name right thats my little nieces name I love it! preciousangels2 -
Monday, 16 June Yeah, from 2 kids to 4 kids. I couldn't imagine it!! I want 3 eventually but hubby only wants 2, which is where we are at now. I'm only 22, I not done having kids! rochelle -
Monday, 16 June ya breast feeding is all most going to kill me Camden is jaundice really bad 17.9 4so when I would try and breast feed him he would take 1hr 1/2 to feed and then fall asleep for 30 mins wake up and do it all over again AHHH! So I resorted to the breast pump 4 days after he was born so now I sit at the computer for 10 mins and get about 4 oz every 2 hrs or so...my goal this week is to get him eating 3 oz and then sleeping for 5 hr at night I am also pumping a little longer so that I can go to Hancock or The Happening this week and leave him at my moms....also dreading a family reunion this weekend I have only lost 15lbs and gained about 55 total so I am a little bumbed about that but it has only been a week....by the way have you lost your appeitie? I have, nothing sounds good, not even ice cream. - I guess my body is trying to tell me something...lose weight lol. Have you tried to pump to see how much milk you have yet? kstar08 -
Monday, 16 June hey girl:) congrats, ur baby is beautifullllll:) howd the csection go? everything healin ok? hows mommyhood so far? mplsmama -
Sunday, 15 June Hey, so glad to hear Riley is gaining weight! I know, how funny that I ended up w/ this tiny thing and you're baby was the bigger one! They've been watching Maisie's weight too... our goal was to get her to her birth weight (7 lbs, 4.9 oz) by her due date, 6/13... and she was up to 7 lbs, 14 oz! I was sooo happy. It just puts so much stress on me to feel like I have to be sure she's eating enough & gaining. It made feedings stressful. I'm glad she's back on track. We're supplementing w/ pumped breast milk too, but now we're weaning her off of the supplements. And last night we could tell she was adjusting, b/c she was up most of the night. :( Plus we had horrible storms & our power went out so we had to do everything by flashlight for 6 hrs! What a pain! It's 2:30 in the afternoon &I'm still in my robe, b/c we have been trying to nap when she's down today. We're exhausted!
When do you go back to work? I'm already dreading it! I cry when I think of leaving her! I hate that I have to work so bad it's not even funny.
How are you healing? I drove for the 1st time yesterday, went to Target & got my haircut... kind of overdid it too. My incision really hurts today. Dang it! I'm off the pain meds finally though. I usually heal so quick from stuff, this is driving me insane!
I have another random question... does Riley look at you a lot? I'm getting a complex b/c I feel like Maisie doesn't really hold eye contact w/ me... but maybe that's normal given her age? I feel like she totally stares at Dan, but doesn't stare at me. Makes me sad. :( Just wondering....
*bree;; -
Sunday, 15 June ive never needed to pump really. i did yesterday to see how much i had in them though lol. only got 2 1/2oz in 20 mins. but i guess thats okay. but she eats about 3oz if she sleeps 5 hrs. is she on a schedule yet? rochelle -
Sunday, 15 June I am so happy to hear everything went well your photos are all so much fun girls are so cute to dress up I am having a hard time with my little guy. I hope that everything is going well congrats and Happy Fathers Day! preciousangels2 -
Sunday, 15 June That's awesome that you're doing so great! I would have been wicked nervous to have a c-section.
I thought that I was going to have trouble with the two kids. But it's actually been fine. Gets stressful at times but it just takes some adjusting to I guess. I couldn't imagine having twins or triplets. A girl I know had 2 daughters and then in April gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. Talk about having your hands full!!! nmck -
Sunday, 15 June I know what you mean about the emotional rollercoaster you are on that everything makes you cry. Good news is I feel like I am 95% better, and am just a handful of weeks ahead of you in recovery so you will feel normal soon! About everyone telling you differently, don't listen to people! If you listen to everyone's opinion, you will go crazy. Just listen to the doctor. During pregnancy, my OB told me advice is worth what you pay for it. People will make you worry so much when they add in their two cents. Anyway, I bet if she started gaining again she will continue. She will eat when she is hungry. Michael has always been a bottle baby b/c I pumped. He started out around 1.5 ounces every 3 hours roughly. We never wake him up to eat now because it is too much work. He gets sleepy and we get frustrated. If we wait for him to be hungry, he will eat better. He is up to 3 ounces every 3 hours, give or take an ounce or an hour. Try not to worry too much about the spit up unless your doctor tells you to. I totally understand your feelings, but I think Riley will be fine! nmck -
Sunday, 15 June I just did the math and discovered that Michael lost 13% of his bodyweight in the week after birth. he went from 3 lbs 12 oz to 3 lbs 4 oz. He did start gaining very well again, and is now up to 8 lbs. I bet she will have gained weight at her next appointment. I'll say a prayer for her! preciousangels2 -
Sunday, 15 June Ah, yeah. My friend had a c-section with her kids and she had horrible gas pains too. When I was pregnant, I never had any swelling. Only a tiny bit when it got really humid out. How is the recovery going from the c-section? With my first, I tore wicked bad so I had TONS of stitches down there and I was soooo sore for like 2wks. This time I didn't tear and I'm really not sore at all. Such a relief cuz I was really expecting to be on the couch for at least a week and I have no idea how I would of taken care of a newborn AND a 3yr old!!! mamadimplez -
Sunday, 15 June Congrats girl!!! She is a beauty:) preciousangels2 -
Saturday, 14 June I had some bad gas pains but not to the point where I couldn't breath! Were they worse than labor?? My labor was quick but damn was it painful. It was 3hrs shorter than my first but it was wayyyy more painful. I've had bad cramps and a wicked bad backache. Not as bad anymore but still. Malachi was like that. He didn't cry much at all. Cayden doesn't cry too much. He does when he's gassy or dirty or hungry. Otherwise he's usually fine. Are you or did you have any problem with swelling after giving birth??? My legs and feet are SOOOOO swollen. I mean, I can make indents in my legs and they'll stay there for minutes. They hurt so bad. Feels like my legs/feet are going to explode. I'm having the visiting nurse come by on Monday just to check up on me and Cayden. I can't even get sandles or flip flops on. We went to the store today and I had to wear my slippers! And even those were tight!
