I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

Hi, why did he refuse to remove a tooth? I need a root canal and I am just baring with it, but dentist says it is okay to remove. If they numb the area and give you a mild narcotic like viccodin you will be pretty comfertable. I have heard of many women getting work done with out problems. I would check with another dentist and see what they say. Oral gel is safe to use and tylenol for right now. Try ice water too. What does you OBGYN say? Not fun!

Okay, please do not think I'm crazy when I tell you this! lol But, my mother hates going to the dentist so she goggles in hydrogen proxide. She just had a swollen face from tooth pain and she uses a little orajel and proxide and kills the nerves in the teeth and she is fine. This something she does every so many months. Strange I know. But, she doesn't swollow the proxide, she just goggles and spits it out. It is just a thought and maybe worth trying if you are in alot of pain. I would call my doctor and see about it and maybe baby orajel.

i would call my doc about any pain meds. im allergic to tylenol so my doc told me that i was safe to take advil thru the 2nd trimester but not during the 1st or 3rd. my doc also said that now is the time to have any dental work done that "cant wait" until after i have little man. If your in that much pain i dont think you should just be "covering it up" . Causes too much stress on your body and your baby. I guess just ask ur OB doc which is the safer decision.

Hi, root canals are prefored on pregnant women. They can use the numbing solution and vicondin for pain. All are safe for pregnancy perscribed by doctor. Do not use Advil though, on a continual basis. If you need to get it done- talk to your doctor. Don't be in pain if you don't need to. Let me know how you do. Take care.

hi when i had toothache i used oil of cloves be careful not to get on your gums trust me ouch, and massaged my tooth with a soft toothbrush i know sounds mad but it worked for me, i feel for u so much let me know how you get on take care :)
