HELLO MY NAME IS KORIE PHIBBS
I AM A MARINE WIFE AND COULDNT BE HAPPIER WITH MY LIFE
I AM A MOTHER OF THE SWEETEST LITTLE 16 MONTH OLD BABY BOY CHRISTIAN MICHAEL, NAMED AFTER HIS DADDY
MY HUSBAND AND I ARE EXPECTING OUR SECOND CHILD RIGHT NOW
HE IS DUE AUGUST 29TH BUT DOCTORS SAY HE SHOULD BE HERE IN 3-5 WEEKS IF I MAKE IT THAT FAR
HIS NAME WILL BE JAYDEN KEITH AFTER MY DAD
MY TWO BOYS NAMED AFTER MY TWO FAVORITE MEN
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE JUST ASK

ABOUT THIS PREGNANCY
WE WERE TOLD THAT WE ONLY HAD ABOUT A 10% CHANCE OF HAVING A BABY AND IF WE WANTED MORE WE NEEDED TO TRY RIGHT AWAY
ONE MONTH LATER, CHRISTMAS EVE, WE FOUND OUT WE WERE EXPECTING
ON NEW YEARS EVE WE HAD A SCARE AFTER I STARTED BLEEDING
I WENT TO THE ER AND GOT CHECKED OUT THEY DID AN ULTRASOUND AND FOUND OUT HE WAS THERE
ULTRASOUND 1 ER DOCTOR

THEY WANTED TO SEE ME A FEW DAYS LATER TO MAKE SURE THE BABY WAS STILL DEVELOPING
THEY DID ANOTHER ULTRASOUND AND THE DIFFERENCE A FEW DAYS MADE WAS JUST AMAZING
ULTRASOUND 2 OB/GYN DOCTOR

WE DIDNT HAVE ANYMORE SCARES AFTER THAT
ALL OTHER APPTS HAVE BEEN AS NORMAL AS CAN BE
EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD AT THE 10-13 WEEK ULTRASOUND
ULTRASOUND 3

AT THE 21 WEEK ULTRASOUND WHERE THEY TRY TO FIND OUT THE SEX WE DIDNT HAVE ANY LUCK AT ALL
THEY SAID IT WAS A GIRL AT FIRST THEN SAID MAYBE A BOY SO THEY DIDNT KNOW
ULTRASOUND 4

CONSIDERING WE STILL DIDNT KNOW THE SEX OF THE BABY WE DECIDED TO DO A 3D/4D ULTRASOUND AT 25 WEEKS
THE SECOND SHE STARTED THE ULTRASOUND SHE KNEW RIGHT AWAY IT WAS A BOY
SHE SAID SHE COULD TELL BECAUSE HE HAD A "TURTLE"
THAT MEANS THE POSITION HE WAS IN IT WAS HIS LITTLE SACK AND THEN A BABY BONER
IT REALLY DOES LOOK LIKE A TURTLE
SO WE FINALLY FOUND OUT IT WAS OUR LITTLE JAYDEN KEITH
3D/4D ULTRASOUND

NOW AT MY LAST APPT I WAS PUT ON BED REST BECAUSE JAYDEN WANTS TO BE JUST LIKE BIG BROTHER CHRISTIAN, BORN 5 WEEKS EARLY
I WAS HAVING CONTRACTIONS FOR TWO WEEKS BEFORE MY APPT AND SO MY DOCTOR CHECKED EVERYTHING AND SHE SAID THAT MY UTERUS WAS SO LOW, 1-2CM FROM WHERE IT SHOULD BE WHEN I GO INTO LABOR, THAT IF IT SLIDES THE REST OF THE WAY MY WATER WOULD BREAK
SHE SAID IF I AM LUCKY I MIGHT BE ABLE TO KEEP HIM IN FOR ANOTHER 3-5 WEEKS
I AM HOPING THAT HE STAYS IN LONG ENOUGH TO BE COOKED WELL ENOUGH FOR THE OUTSIDE WORLD
UPDATE 7/3
SO I JUST SPENT THE LAST FEW HOURS AT LABOR AND DELIVERY
I AM ALREADY CONTACTING ABOUT EVERY 20 MINS OR SO
THEY ACTUALLY LET ME GO HOME AND I AM ON FULL BED REST
THEY RAN A TEST ON ME TO SEE THE LIKELIHOOD OF ME GOING INTO LABOR IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO AND IT CAME BACK NEGATIVE SO THAT IS A GOOD THING
BABY IS DOING GREAT HEALTHY AS CAN BE SO THAT SURE MAKES ME HAPPY

Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Tuesday, 22 July Yes, thank god they were finally processed on Friday. I have an u/s on August 4th, which was two weeks from yesterday! I can't wait to find out if I'm having more than one baby! allioop -
Saturday, 19 July Wow, you really are blessed! I'm so happy that you've managed to make it through these 2 pregnancies ok. I was adopted as a baby and have the most wonderful family so you are right! Adoption is always a good option in my opinion:)
No they never did give me a reason for my m/c's. They think it was just bad luck. But I have been seeing a fetal medicine specialist throughout this pregnancy who monitors the pregnancy. She did a bunch of tests but so far nothing has come back abnormal except for a very low positive ANA test (anti-nucleic antibodies). That basically means I have antibodies in my blood that attack my own cells but it may be normal for me as some people have positive tests that don't indicate anything. Many people with Lupus have +ANA tests but I do not have lupus. The Dr. kind of said it may have contributed to the m/c's but that it really doesn't mean much as it was barely positive (after a + they see how much of the antibodies are in your blood and mine was the next level up from what they consider normal). She had put me on baby aspirin from the beginning so she just told me to keep taking it.
I'm sorry you lost your 1st one at 20 weeks. I know how devastating it was to lose 2 at 10 weeks; I can only imagine. I'm sure you feel blessed to have a healthy son and one on the way! Good luck and keep me posted on how you are making out! You made it another day so that's good! Every day counts at this point! allioop -
Friday, 18 July Hey, never say never! I had 2 miscarriages after the birth of my 2nd child so my husband and I decided we wouldn't have any more. Then SURPRISE! Now we've made it to 15 weeks and are pretty sure this one is sticking around. Now I will say I will NEVER have any more! LOL We'll need to find some ways to make sure that statement is really true:) allioop -
Friday, 18 July Yeah, it's hard to keep them in there after the head is out but the rest of the body is in!!! LOL I remember them telling me to stop pushing and I was like YEAH RIGHT GET HIM OUT!!!!!! LOL It's all worth what we go through in the end though, right? allioop -
Thursday, 17 July Maybe you're just meant to have smaller babies earlier! If an almost 6lb baby ripped you so much I hope you do have this one earlier than 40 weeks! My 6lb 12oz baby ripped me but my 5lb 11oz was the perfect size for me. I felt great after having him--no epidural or medication really made a difference I think! I was walking around right after having him and the recovery was so much easier than with the epidural and stitches. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you hang on a little longer and that everything goes well with this one!! allioop -
Thursday, 17 July Yeah--as if you could keep your baby in by being scared of letting it come out! I was really scared when I had my son--I had no warning whatsoever that he was coming--just woke up one morning in severe labor, got to the hospital and had him a few minutes later! My husband wasn't even there because he had been working out of state! They had all these people around waiting for the baby and I was SO relieved when they said, "He looks good!" He weighed 5lbs 11oz! He would have been HUGE if he had gone to term. LOL But he really did do great. He didn't even get jaundice. Even the Dr's couldn't believe that! So, yeah, stay calm and know that everything will be okay even if you have your little bundle of joy tomorrow. Things will be fine. Good luck and keep my posted on how things go! allioop -
Thursday, 17 July Aw, your welcome! I thought that other response was a little harsh saying your baby would be VERY sick...I know I got lucky too with my son but if you ever watch pregnancy shows, most of the babies that make it to 34 weeks do well with little assistance. They will often deliver a baby at 34 weeks rather than leave them in there if there is any question about their safety in the womb because they know they will do much better out. So try not to worry too much---I'm sure things will be fine! arkansastechmommy -
Friday, 11 July Thanks. Yeah, I'm growing sooo much faster this time than I did with my first pregnancy. With my son, I only gained 15 pounds, and was alot bigger starting out. After I had my son, I lost 40+ pounds. When I started out this journey, I weighed 185 the day I took my pregnancy test at the health department. It seems like my belly is getting bigger by the day. It kinda worries me, some people are SO rude, sad thing is, they don't care whose feelings they hurt. Oh well. I havent got to see my regular doctor yet, I'm still waiting for the ins. papers to go through, but I should get to see her next week. I'm keepin' my fingers crossed. leisawessa -
