Friday, 11 July My mother-in-law was JUST the same with our first baby, but luckily he was a mamma's boy and cried like his heart was breaking every time she tried to take him, even for a few minutes!

Thursday, 10 July kpnutt - I am definitely in the same boat! My MIL keeps telling EVERYBODY that when the baby is born and they come visit I am going to run out of the house for a chance to be alone! Yeah right. I understand it will be stressful and it will be nice to have time to ourselves occasionally, but she is definitely implying that I'll want to ditch our kid every chance we get. Annoys the crap out of me. When my SIL (her daughter) had the baby, she stayed with them for a WEEK and she barely got to hold her own child! My MIL would pick him up and take him out of the room everytime he cried. Soo annoying! I already told my husband I dont want people staying with us at the beginning haha. We'll see how that flies being they are 4 hours away. cinxia -
Tuesday, 10 June Hi there, I too wake up with numb fingers, and my hands swell up and hurt like crazy some mornings. I have Carpal Tunnel to begin with and now that I'm pregnant, its much worse. I can't take anything that thins my blood because of my baby. The best thing to do is rinse your hands under cold water for five to ten minutes, or get a cold wrap with ice to ice it down, because heat causes swelling. Another thing you can do is watch how you sleep, sleep with your wrists straight and not bent behind your head or in the blankets. You can also keep your room a little bit cooler at night. Best of luck.

Tuesday, 10 June Hi! I wake up with numb fingers as well and they stay that way throughout the day in both hands. From what I know, I have carpal tunnel syndrome as a result of pregnancy. I don't think there is any treatment for it either. I'd still check with the doctor though. Good luck! wilsonwilson -
Tuesday, 10 June I think you have carpel tunnel, that makes your fingers numb chick, next time you have an appointment ask about it, I hope it gets better soon x judi -
Tuesday, 27 May Your profile doesn't say where abouts you are, so I don't know whether to talk in pounds or kilos! I'm in Australia, but married to an American guy. Kids have been born in 4 different countries around the world, as we've traveled a lot. Settled here, now, though, while they get their respective educations.
Good luck with the baby oil, and stretch marks. I do hope it works for you as well as it has for me, so far. judi -
Monday, 26 May Use baby oil!! That's all I've ever used, and with pregnancy number 6, I still have NO stretch marks. judi -
Saturday, 24 May Some days or weeks I seem to be hungry all the time, but then some days I just eat a little, and it's plenty. But then, I've gained an awful lot of weight already (11kg). Doc says I'm fine, though, as I was underweight pre-pregnancy. dlc -
Wednesday, 21 May Hi there! I suffer from hayfever and when i went to the pharmacy they said there was nothing suitable for pregnant women. Dr has given me a nasal spray which can be used but i only use it when i'm really suffering as funny about taking meds whilst preggers. Dr said homepatic meds are ok so take that all the time and working so far! Hope that it helps xx lilli1317 -
Thursday, 15 May That's exactly what mine did! Haha. I drank a glass of orange juice and ate half a hershey bar about 1/2 hour before I went for my second one. The kid was spinning and moving around with a sugar rush haha. youngmum18 -

Monday, 5 May kpnutt, my boyfriend has felt baby kick, I always go to sleep with my hand on my tummy and was in bed one night when I felt him get crazy active and I could feel him from the outside so I told my boyfriend and he stuck his hand there and felt him do a few little kicks. He hasn't felt it since though. I think it really depends on the angle he's kicking on and I guess when i'm laying down my stomach muscles are more relaxed and everything. I'm pretty skinny too so there's not a lot of fat to feel it through (yet!! lol) kellyp -

Tuesday, 29 April Hi there I just read your comment and I completely agree. Every morning where I work i have to sweep, mop, clean the toilets etc, and I hate it because im pregnant. I dont have the energy or strength to be bending down and cleaning is such hard excercise! Even using the cleaning products i dont feel comfortable with. There should be a new law!!
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy, before u know it you will be on maternity leave!!x
