I forgot, if you have to use formula, go for Neocate (hypoallergenic). It's best formula I have seen so far (I got recomendation from Infant care owner with 25 years of experience)
If you go to the web site below and fill in e-mail on right, plus answer allergy questions, then there will be a link to get a free can to try it . It's expensive but doesn't smell, doesn't stain and works for sensitive babies. I use it ocasionally when I don't pump enough (I work 13 hours a day and baby is 18 lbs so sometimes I need a supplement). He was projectile vomitter until I totally eliminated milk, soy products... from both formula and my food. Good luck again.

when I had issues with latching, I used breast shileds and just fed baby very often... It will get better. If you survive firt 6 weeks BFing, life will get much easier!
For spit ups, eliminate diary and soy from your diet and see if that helps (it did for me). Also if you eat too much carbs your milk may not be fat enough, add some meat proteins and calcium food. I have very small breast and seemed like it was always empty but baby grew to be 98% weight and off chart for height. Good luck!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

no probs its always good to ask,we all need to ask things somtimes, especially as baies don`t come with manuals..lol
its so easy to worry with them when they are so little ,it wouldn`t be normal if you didn`t..take care hun xx

ozbaby - Tuesday, 23 September
It is actaully urates not electrolites sorry. It is totally normal and most babies only have it a few times while their still in hospital so probably goes unnoticed. It is only a problem if it continues for weeks and weeks. I am suprised your nurse has never seen it.. I freaked a bit when i saw it as it wasnt the usual red spotting girl babies have and the nurse assured me it was normal and not to worry. Good luck breastfeeding it is such an amazing experiance once you get your milk in and a routine happening.

ozbaby - Tuesday, 23 September
krissiehoran: The orange streaks in your babys nappy is normal for the first few weeks. My little girl had it and it is electrolites and once your bub is fed for a while then it will disappear. If it doesnt go after a few weeks then she may be dehyrated but it is normal at the start. My daughter had it for ages as my milk was slow to come in then i had supply issues but once we sorted that out it went. They can also get a mucas/ blood discharge as well which is just hormones from the pregnancy so dont freak if you see that as well.
