Believe
When you come to the edge of all the light you know,
And are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown,
Faith is knowing one of two things will happen:
There will be something solid to stand on ......or you will be taught how to fly.

Update 21 Weeks
Regarding my chromosomes results, everything came back normal. My NT scan and AFP test came back normal, but during the Level 2 exam the baby was found with three abnormalities.
- Ventrical dilated (11mm)
- Hole in the heart
- Kidneys enlarged
Been to the prenatal cardiologist, and the Doc was reassuring. The baby's heart has no defect. The 4 chambers, valves and heartbeat are perfect. Yes, there is a small hole but it's very common most of all at 19 weeks. The hole is in the muscle, therefore the chances of closing the first weeks of life, if not during pregnancy, are very high. The Doc wasn't worried at all and it reassured me.
Now we had an amnio done and we're waiting on the chromosomes.
Baby's weight: 1lb 4oz
Ciao
Original profile
Ok Ladies....this is my first pregnancy and of course my husband and I are extremely happy. Because everything's so new to us, we don't know what to expect and everyday seems to be a challenge to keep our sanity in check. Besides the "common" bleeding, nausea, migraines, back aches, etc., our main concern is that our baby is healthy and that everything's going well in there. :)
Based on what we know, my husband's family is pretty much healthy. My family on the other hand has many "things" going on. In my case specifically, I'm a rare case of spinal cord tumors -had 3 benign ones so far of different types, had radiation for 1 tumor, and I also have Chiari.
Regarding the tumors, I've been tested for NF1 and NF2 and was negative. Docs have no clue of the reason for the tumors.
Regarding the Chiari, which basically are tonsils sticking out of the cerebellum -low portion of the skull, I have a mild case of Chiari that causes however migraines and pressure in my skull. (What can I do...my brain is bigger than my skull ;)
So ....for the above mentioned reasons, I've been now tested for mutated chromosomes. Hopefully, I will not have any so the chances of my baby having any mutated ones "decreases."
Oh well.....I guess I'll have to put my faith in God's hands and pray that everything goes well. *crossing fingers*
Ciao

Its just uncomfortable when I walk is all. Also, Mykah is 32 cm now at 31 wks 4 dys. Im relieved cause she was 28 cm at 30 wks 0 dys so she had a little growth spurt!
