It's a boy! Chase Michael is here. He arrived at 7:09 pm on Friday, August 22nd. He weighed in at 8 lbs, 13 ounces and 21 inches long. He was a big boy!

Hi! I'm Kristin. My husband and I are expecting our first baby. We were married June 8, 2007 and were planning on trying to get pregnant this spring - but to our surprise, it was easier than we thought! It is such a blessing it happened this way - I feel like it was fate. We are both very excited about being parents and can `t wait. I am the first of most my friends to have a baby and I found everyone on this site so helpful, supportive and wonderful. Thank you all! :-)

Hey, Well I was feeding my daughter and noticed it started to hurt really bad and my nipple looked cracked. So I called the lactation consultant and explained it to them and she told me it was a yeast infection, so I have to go through this long process before i can nurse or pump, it's a pain in the butt. They were soo sore I couldn't have her nurse off me, they were cracked, little bleeding, and little red dots, kinda werid. There getting better now, I'm gonna try and nurse her tomorrow and pump as well. Hope that helps, and thanks for your comment. Kinda weird that the baby can get more than the pump.:)

I just read your amazing birth story. Wow, you had quite an experience! I had my little one on Monday with a tougher-than-I-imagined labor, too. I hope you're enjoying every second with your new love. I certainly am. Congratulations.

the local hospital here in Indiana does it. Also, the city hall does it. All she did was put in the base. (TIP: put the foam type of shelf liner in between the base and your seat to protect it instead of those matts you can buy) She just looked in the owner manual of my car and installed the base. Then showed me how to adjust the straps and how to put it in and take the seat out of the base. It was a brand new car seat so really it was just an install. But this lady does it everyday...so I know it is installed correctly!

Yeah I think that is totally safe I think your just not suppose to be over 100%,just don't stay in to long, & make sure your hydrated. I got that shirt in the plus size section at a store called DEB in the mall & it fits better than any of my maternity shirts.

I read your comment on hot tub, I think different dr's having different feelings on that one & it depends on the tempature of the hot tub. Some hot tubs r low enough that they r safe for kids. So call your dr cuz I bet that would feel really good if you could & if not u could always just hang your legs in.

you will need to take a few sleepsuits,vests etc depends on weather where you are etc.. if its cool you may need a bonnet,cardi and booties. i am in the uk so weatehr differnt to your area.. i have a list on my blog if you wish to read it.. good luck.

I know at the women's hospital I am going to they put the poor things in a paper shirt! It's made out of the stuff that the denist uses as a bib to put around your neck when you get your teeth worked on. I have packed my son several night gowns and his come home outfit. Just in case you might want to call your hospital and ask them what they dress them in. I would pack something for your baby just in case. Good luck!

Hopefully we will have them soon. I have had an easy pregnancy this far, but I am so ready to meet the little guy. I was watching my 20 week ultra sound today, and I can't believe I am going to see those little hands and feet in person soon. This is my last week of work, after that the waiting will really get brutal. Also, just wondering, how many squats do you do?

slowly, but surely I'm at 1 1/2cm & 50% effaced having contractions everyday almost all day. I think he just needs an extra push. I'm to uncomfortable to have sex, but I'm to the point I'll do it if it speeds things up. I'm also getting a full body massage on Saturday & she's gonna work on all the areas that r suppose to induce labor. Babies already over 8lbs & needs to come out I don't want to have to squeeze out another 9lber & God forbid 10lbs.

I'm worried too. I have two large dogs that have been our babies. I will still be sure to give them as much attention as I can but I worry it won't be enough. I could NEVER get rid of them. They sleep on a futon mattress on the floor but I have heard stories about dogs resenting the baby.
