Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

PRETTIEST MOM
Once you have been hit, you have to hit 5 pretty Moms.
If you get hit again, You will know you are REALLY pretty!
So hit 15 pretty moms on your friends list to let them know they are
pretty!
Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her
down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Send this to someone who you think is a special Mom.'

Calamine is the only thing I've found to help with the itch relief. But do not wrap it though, let it breathe. You may look funny having pink spots from the calamine lotion, but it helps it not spread or itch.

Jamiekid - Thursday, 4 Oct
my hubby says dont put anything on poison ivy... he's had a bad case of it before. Prevent anything from getting into it and don't wrap it... let it breathe... he says reactine workd but hes not sure if you can take it when preggers

Baby3OnWay - Thursday, 4 Oct
Calamine lotion.. have a nice warm bath and rub the stuff on the site of the irritation and it will feel SOOO NICE!!! i got it in the summer on the bottom of my legs and it was annoying. Hope it works out for you and itn't to annoying, we have enough aches and pains right now to deal with!

Oh u poor thing! I totally understand though... seems like once u pay for 1 thing, another thing breaks and it's a landslide! We just had to replace our sewage drain and gut our basement due to back-up and flooding! The dorks who owned the house prior had put the drain under the footers of the house and then ran it UNDER the driveway! Not to mention they made it out of clay so it had busted. Still gotta get a new washer/dryer and re-route all the pipes and redo drywall in basement,etc.. wanted a new bed (KING!) and blah blah blah... ah well it will all have to wait! I hope you at least have a baby room or something for yourself before babe is born! Vent anytime gal!

Tkal - Sunday, 30 Sep
Got your stuff in the nursery all set yet? Bag packed? I don't see myself packing any 'bags' for the hospital... although it probably is a good idea. Hubby can always grab what we need... only live 5min from hospital! :) Hope you're having an awesome weekend!

firstbaby - Wednesday, 26 Sep
just wanted to say thanks for the help :)

Hey Kristin! Hope you're doing well... Doing great here! Not working those 12hr shifts anymore. Drop me a line!

MELISSAW. - Wednesday, 19 Sep
Hey Kristin, thanks for asking about my son. He is now 11 and was formally diagnosed with ADHD in the second grade. But he started therapy when he was 4. Today, my son has lots of character but still exhibits some Autistic tendencies. Like arm flapping when over excited, swaying from side to side, and others. I think we are lucky because he is showing signs of 'outgrowing' it. Most people say outgrow. I really like to say that the brain compensates. :-) Just to be clear, I knew there was something wrong when Ryan was 3 months old. He would scream when his father or any man would hold him. Children with Autism for some reason tend to feel more secure with woman. (You can imagine what I was thinking with all of this.) And loud music or loud noises, someone yelling, he would roll his eyes back and shack his hands. It was early evidence that my son had sensory over stimulation issues. At around 4 months I started to notice issues with certain textures of food in his mouth. It took YEARS before my kid could chew gum or eat mashed potatoes. :-) So, with that being said, I believe my child is the original 1 in 3000 children with Autism not caused by the shot. But it is alarming to think that all these little boys are being infected today. Not sure what to do? My husband is convinced that we need to delay the MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella ) shot. To the point where he said he is going to back me up at the doctors office. But I guess there is a good chance I could have another child with problems considering I already have one.

NikkiN - Friday, 24 Aug
hi ya, i will find out the statistics for you in the Uk and let you know, my wedding picture is from the bahamas it was lovely, only me and jeff went for 10 days but we missed our daughter so much that we spent the last few days arguing and just wanted to go home to see her, i cried loads and wished that we had taken her but she doesnt really remember as she wasnt even 2 years old at the time (but i still feel sooo sooo guilty) x

NikkiN - Thursday, 23 Aug
hey how are you? just kinda noticed you were talkin to mel about shots connected to autism, me and my husband spent hours and hours on the net deciding wot to do with our daughter and thought we will let her have them and know we have done our best to protect her, also if you look on the net (for your own peace of mind) they will show you statistics of the fact that autism was around long long before children started having shots and that autism only shows itself at the same age as children have their shots, its a very personal choice for you to make but worth a good look before you decide hun, hope you and baby are doing well xx

MELISSAW. - Friday, 17 Aug
Oh, I would not agree that the shots give children autism. Those shots are better filtered now and are more important that the baby gets them than not.

MELISSAW. - Friday, 17 Aug
KristinR~ you can't worry about statistics like that. Yes 1 out of 150 children have autism. I am not sure if that includes kids that just have charactoristics of autism. The numbers would be staggering. Anyway, my point is to tell you, you'll love your baby no matter if they are fine or have learning disabilities or even autistic. There are many other more difficult things you could have to deal with. Hang in there lady. :-)

corine - Friday, 17 Aug
the shots that you give your child causes autism. the mercury that is in them is horrible also

Tkal - Wednesday, 8 Aug
Yup... we made a really fast wave through BabiesRus too. I'm gonna get their jogger travel system and buy an additional pad for the carrier. I LOVED my previous jogger (that was old then..didn't have trays or swivel wheel) plus had a reg stroller for the mall. Just getting 1 this time. That's pretty much the ONLY thing I'm sure about! Still waiting for hubby to finish the drywall in nursery so I can paint, then I'll be able to go through stuff and set up. I'm gonna be REAL busy starting in 2 weeks when my internships start again! AHHHHH!

Tkal - Monday, 6 Aug
That's all right... Their dog will die (ha ha.. ok probably not funny). I like Cooper some too, but that's an old dog's name of mine too. Hubby doesn't like Hunter, but I do! I told him I get final say..he named Hailey!

Leeesah - Wednesday, 1 Aug
Ya it sure has been going fast, only about 13 weeks left. Well I hope all is well. I bet you are going crazy wondering if it is a boy or a girl. But how exciting I wish that I was as patient as you and waited but I really wanted a boy so I just wanted to know so bad!

NikkiN - Wednesday, 1 Aug
