My pregnancy was a complete shock (well tarot cards had forewarned me a couple of months before...) I found out at Planned Parenthood (so lovely) as they do a pregnancy test before each appointment. The nurse took me to a different room and told me the news and I went into shock and then there were tears of confusion and speeches about Irony (from me...I had never wanted a child). After 30 minutes of my hysterics the nurse asked if abortion was an option and Immediately before I had time to think about it my mouth said ABSOLUTELY NOT. So here I am pregnant and in love with my baby and scared shitless. I was living in North Park-San Diego at the time but I moved home to Texas to be able to go to school and afford the babe. His daddy isn't out here yet (he's coming in May about a month before I'm due) so it's kind of sad to not have someone to share this with (OMG i sound so damn domestic)! I didn't ever want a baby because I thought that automatically meant I would have to live some boring surburban lifestyle but it's really not true! And I'm not knocking suburbia for those of you who reside there and love it but it scares the hell out of me and since I'm 21 I'm just not ready for such the lifestyle yet! I'm a Dharma Bum whatcanIsay?!

anyways this has been an extremely bizarre and beautiful and trying journey for me so far! I'm anxious and I'm overjoyed and I look forward to having other people to go through this with which is why I joined the site .I'm especially excited (and f'ing terrified, Not Gonna Lie) about meeting my precious baby boy Oliver.

End Of Panic!My baby is healthy and definitely a BOY! I went for my 18 week u/s today and it was quuuuite the relief. I got a DVD and I `m probably going to watch it all the time because I `m obsessed with him. the end!

Saturday, 2 Feb

I think I `m finally growing. I thought my lower back pain might have been signs of preterm labor but all of a sudden I `m getting my belly. FINALLY. I hope that `s all it is. My mom went into preterm labor with all four of her kids around five months and had to be on that shot so that `s why I `m really paranoid. We both have tipped uteruses. His kicks are sooo different now. They are definitely much stronger and he moves around ALL the TIME! I `m entering a new phase of pregnancy, I think I `ve had a weird hormonal surge because my cheeks keep getting hot and red and all of a sudden I get really emotional about nothing. I finally feel pregnant. wahoo. And omg, I `m so exhausted. I watch my two nieces that are 2 and 3, forty hours a week and I `m taking Anatomy and Physiology which requires me to study every spare hour and minute I have. I wish I could be spending that time just daydreaming about my baby. I feel like I `m neglecting him (the mothers guilt has begun)!

I've had poison ivy a lot, too. I haven't gotten any kind of shot, but I use hydrocortisone cream. Nothing really seems to help though. My doctor guesses I'm getting it from my cat because he goes out & then I cuddle him often.

Do let me know if you find something that works, all the itching & red patches are driving me crazy!

To be honest I really dont know :( I hope within the next couple of months,even if its just for a couple of weeks then he can go back and wind things down there, his boss is a total pig, its really upsetting, his boss wouldnt even give him the time off to come for the scan!! Ive said we'll go for a private one if he likes and Ill go up to him for a few days but he's arguing to spend the money on something else for the baby.
It's not always an easy life is it.

Hi Kristy, your not the only one who's partner isnt with them, mine's away working so I completely understand about not being able to share it all with, when I tell him new things on the phone he gets so upset bless him.

hey:) i think you will be a great mom...i just have a feeling,,.for some reason i feel what ur talking about.a lot! i am marily,and i am 22.i live in Greece:) i am just 9 weeks and 3 days (still in the beggining..)and I have to move too in a few weeks too ..to my fiance's houuse wich is actually...in an other country!(in cyprus..)...but i am quite used to it bcause of my job(i'm an actress u see so i move around all the time)..me too, i am really scared of the domestic life that i'm going to get in, but as time goes by, i feel that i don't want to work any more and that i want like u said keep daydreaming about my lil one:) i think that's the way of the nature to protect us from not going crazy:)))hahaha! keep in touch! Hope baby catches up about a month ago the docters said my baby was small by 2 weeks and wasnt growing adiquitly by measurements and feeling him in my tummy.3 weeks later with all of my worrying he had caught up and was measuring 1 week over and he was doing fantastic some babys grow at their own pace but will have big growths all of a sudden .Try not to worry I pigged out for those 3 weeks tryed to be lazy to not burn off too much calories and drank 2 ltrs of chocmilk a day, and it worked for me I also have a very fast metabolism.
