My name is Christy. I live in Dinwiddie, Virginia. I am married to my wonderful husband of almost 2 years, Frank. He has been an absolute DREAM during my pregnancy! So kind, loving and caring! I couldn't ask for any better!! This is our first child together but I have a daughter who is 17 and he has a son that is 13. We are so excited about this baby! She was delivered on August 19th by C-section. She was 4 weeks early and ended up staying in the NICU for 7 days due to her immature lungs. It was the hardest 7 days of my life. Her name is Kaci Savannah and she is doing very good now. I love her so much...she is so beautiful!

Call me crazy but I miss being pregnant! I had such a wonderful pregnancy and would do it again in a second if I knew that it would be just as wonderful as it was carrying Kaci! I would like to have one more before I get too much older and am considered high risk!

I am so dreading going back to work but my hubby works shift work so paying for daycare or worrying who will watch her is not an issue. The issue is if mommy can handle being away from her baby! LOL!

Hi! Sorry for the novel. I'm just sending this to all of you, because I have too many messages to respond to individually! LOL...you girls are the best. Thank you for all of your kind words and your love and friendship. Yes, baby Jude and I are home now. Our first night went very well. He is taking the Soothies bottles very well, and wakes to eat every 3-4 hours. My milk came in

WHOA!!! LOL...get ice packs on those babies! I'm not nursing at all this time, so I need it to go away. And the most exciting thing for me is that I was able to have a BM!!!!! LOL...you have no idea how much I dread that after pushing a watermelon out.

I am feeling OK, but I am still really in need of prayer. I didn't put it up in my birth story, but I had a terrible scare after Jude was born. About an hour after delivering I got up to go to the bathroom and started hemmorhaging. Blood clots were everywhere! I sat on the toilet and asked the nurse if that was normal. She RAN out of the room and when she came back she handed me 6 Cytotec pills...and THAT scared the crap out of me. Cytotec is used for abortions, and causes extreme contractions of the uterus, often leading to uterine rupture and can cause death. I was so scared to take 6 of those pills but I felt like I had no choice. It was either take them, or sit there and bleed to death. So, I quickly took them and prayed that God would protect me from the possible effects. Within seconds I felt funny. The nurse looked at me and asked if I was OK, I said I didn't feel good. All of a sudden everything went white and I went down. I could hear voices all around me, they sounded far away, and I was unable to respond. They kept asking me questions and I could not move. I felt paralyzed. I wanted to close my eyes so badly but they kept telling me not to. I just kept hearing, "she has no color", "her eyes are glazed", "she is burning up". Thye kept saying "Angie, Angie, Angie...come on", but I could not move. I knew I had gone in to shock
and was likely dying. Finally I heard a nurse say "Anige, don't look down, look up at the ceiling." So, I forced my eyes to look up and that is when they carried me to my bed. They took my BP and it was skyhigh. They were staring at me like I was already gone! But
slowly, I began to cool off and respond to their questions. One nurse said "You are my hero. How did you come back from that?" And another said, "Don't ever do that again." While all of this was happening, my husband was holding baby Jude and crying his eyes out. He was sure he was watching me die. For the next 2 hours I laid in bed shaking like a madwoman as the Cytotec did it's job of contracting my uterus to stop the bleeding. They told Matt he was not allowed to leave me that night (he wouldn't have after that anyway). Throughout the night the nurses kept pushing on my belly and blood would gush out. They never told me how worried they were, but I could see it in their eyes. By God's grace I came around and the bleeding is much less now. I did have another scare last night, though. I had fallen asleep but all of a sudden felt so terrible that I jerked on my husband to wake him. My heart was racing uncontrollably, my back was throbbing, I felt so nauseous and like I was going to go unconscious again. The room was spinning and I was so terrified of having internal bleeding. He got me a cold cloth and sat me down in a cool room until it passed. My back still hurts awfully. I'm not sure if it's from pushing the baby out or if it's uterine related. They said that the reason I had hemmorhaged was because of the fast labor and delivery. I went from 3 cm to pushing him out in just 2 hours. The pitocin made everything go too fast and hard, and it cause a great trauma to my uterus that it could not recover from. But, I am doing OK and we are enjoying our new baby. It sure is a miracle that it didn't turn out for the worse. Thank you all for your love and prayers. As many of you are preparing to have your babies,
remember that it is still so dangerous. Even after having 4 previously I could never have anticipated the trouble I would have this time. I can't wait until you all have birth stories to share so we can chit chat about our babies. I am changing my name...

Awwwww...I'm so happy for you guys! Hun, I know EXACTLY how you feel about having to leave your baby in NICU...our last baby had trouble breathing and had to stay in NICU for 7 days, too. He, too, had wires and needles poking him all the time. I wasn't allowed to stay at the hospital with him, and had to get a hotel across the street and keep going over every 3 hours around the clock to nurse him. I cried the entire 7 days, I hated having to leave him there! The one thing that made MY trial easier to bear was seeing a little baby who was barely 3 lbs and possibly would not ever be going home.

I was 5 lbs 11 oz when I was born, so I know how small she is! How wonderful to finally have her safe at home. Congratulations to your precious family, keep us all updated as you are able! Love, Angie

Oh wow I can not believe you already had her!! Congrats, I know you are so happy she is here and ok! I mean I know she has to stay a few days but I know you are so happy to finally meet her! I can't wait for the pics. I hope you are doing ok and healing good!! Just a small bit of confusion on my part but weren't you suppose to have a c-section???? Well they got my jeep fixed turns out it was a bad battery, so they replaced it. I was still pissed tho I mean its not very convenient to get to work and get them the Jeep and have to borrow my dad's car. Its just a huge pain in my ass that I do not need right now, and I am already a high strung person so the smallest thing sends me over the edge. Oh well its over with now so I will try and stop the complaining. Other than that, I had a dr apt this am and I am 1 cm and 70% effaced so I think things are finally happening. Yay me!

The UTI thing must suck right now I mean I know if you are like me you are already uncomfy so you don't need that on top of things. That sucks I hate it for ya maybe it will not last long. At least you got a day of rest from it, I sure wish I was at home right now I keep nodding off at my desk. Soo Soo Sleepy today. Anywho hope you get better I talk to ya soon!!!

Very not fun weekend here, I had to call the doctor late Friday afternoon about my feet swelling. Well needless to say all I got was go home and put your feet up and stay off of them for the weekend and see if they improve. So that is what my entire weekend consisted of, laying on the couch with the feet propped all weekend long. SUCKED!!! I sent the hubby to the store Saturday am to pick up a few things we were needing. He took my new jeep grand cherokee that I have had less than a month and the damn thing would not crank when he got out. We had to have it towed into the dealership to be checked out on Monday when they open. Needless to say it has not been a good weekend at all! I am so pissed about my jeep I could go burn the dealership down! Anywho had to vent for a sec about that. But other than that the feet are lookin much better so that is good and off to work I go tomorrow. YUCK! Hope your weekend went much better than mine and I hope you have a great Monday, I am sure I will be fighting with the Jeep people all day! Oh well hope this week flies by! TTYS
