REDD'S BIRTH STORY
well, not sure where to start.......went in on monday to be induced.had one gel thing and had contractions all day.they finally stopped 3 am hubby had left at10 after they haed slowed down.all the midwives were great supportive and checked on us alll the time.got moved to anoher room at 4 then again at 5.hubby turned up at 9 the next day.as i was a previose section the doctor didn want to try to induce again for risk of scar rupture.they tried to check me but nothing had changed at all no dialation i hadn even thinned.so dissapointed and tred at this point i asked hubby to leave and come back later when visiting started.i think this was the worst day knowing they would try to break my waters in the moring if that didn work id get a c section.the following day soon came 9 am all the doctors turned up.hubby wasn there yet so i stalled and asked to go to the loo.as i got back and layed down he arrived just in time.thank god.my cervix was high and not changed much so they gave me gas and air as it was likely to be unconfortable.it didn work and i was devistated PLUS BABY WAS FACE UP..iv never had my waters break naturally so thought it unlikely now.i walked to the bathroom 20 mins later waiting for the csection.MY WATERS BROKE ON THE WAY BACK.as i sat down the last little gush came out.the doctor checkedme again and the baby still wasnt ingaged and not much had changed.susspecting the baby had a big head that wouldn reach my cervix through my pelvis we wnt ahead with the csection and we walked to theatre.i had a spinal and they got me ready.it was very emotionall and i was terrified it would be the same as b4.the theatre was full of women.everyone was really nice.it was a lovely sunny day and wed the 14 nov....everyone knows i was dreading a csection.id read on the net ages ago about a natural c section(its where they let the baby come out your tummy on its own.they only pull the head out.)never thought my hospital would do it,the last c section was a bit like being put in a boxing ring and having my inards pulled out.very agressive lots of tugging and pulling.if it came to c section i wanted the natural version.to my suprise thats what i got.it was the best experience ever.to feel the baby slowely come out my tummy was as close as it got.i had my waters go too which was fab.they layed the baby naked on my chest.and got hubby to tell me what it was.it really presonalised the experience and stopped it feeling like the operation id had b4 to remove my last baby.so much better.i went back to the ward and came home on that friday.with strict instructions from my husband i stayed in bed and he does everything.his been great the experience was great and our BABY BOY 11LB 3 ONZ,,,,,,,WOW,,,IS GREAT TOO.CANT BELIEVE I CARRIED THAT.HUGE LUMP.his name is redd his so georguose.im breast feeding and he sleeps through the night already.1am to 7 am.so lucky well worth the wait.going overdue isn that bad.
