Hello everyone! This is my first pregnancy and I am due the 22nd of September...I can't wait!

I am so happy to be in week 8. I don't know why, but it seems like such a milestone to me. My first midwife appt is Feb 27th and I am anxiously awaiting it. I am feeling a little emotional today. I cried talking to my husband this morning about shower tiles, cried talking to my mother about being sick, cried while alone thinking about being sick, and cried when I talked to my husband on the phone for basically no reason at all. This habit is less than charming but perhaps I will laugh about it soon. I am very excited about seeing my midwife and I am actually looking forward to giving birth. I am not at all afraid of the birthing process because I believe very strongly that God created my body for this. I look forward to being able to remember and feel my natural birth. I know that the day that I give birth and get to see my baby will be one of the greatest days of my life. I know that is a while from now...I just can't wait to hear the heart beat on the 27th!!!

The pictures below are from when I told my husband I was pregnant. I woke up before him and took the test. Then I made him pancakes that said "Dad" and served him breakfast. The picture of him looking up is the moment he realized what the pancakes said. In that picture he is saying, "Are you serious?!"He was half asleep when I gave him the plate. It was so sweet. He is very excited.

Thank you for your response. I already know it's way too close to my due date to travel and it wasn't just that that's stressing me. It's the fact that I'm being told I am going to ruin the wedding because my son was suppose to be in the wedding and I won't send my kids without me. They act like me sending my kids so far away without me and on a plane is a ridiculous fear. No one in my family is close and my brother really doesn't have any family from our side attending, but his Fiance has like 150. I just feel if I was the the tables were turned no one would risk or make any extreme sacrifices for me.

I was a runner too, so walking was for "wimps" (that's what I USED TO THINK!). But now I think it's pretty fun. We live in the country so it's fun to do w/ our dogs, but it's getting really mosquitoey & I really don't need big welts all over my body so that's why I joined the gym. I hated the treadmill UNTIL I started putting the incline on high- makes my butt burn the whole time and it feels great. I tend to store alot of fat in my butt/hips/thighs, so it is so great to feel those muscles actually engaged! That's enough to make me happy and keep me doing it. I don't want to give into my cheese legs. lol. hope u find what motivates you and makes it fun!

I am kind of lucky because after the baby is born I am going to do in home daycare so that I can stay home. WE have both tried for so long to have a baby that I can't make myself be away from him/her. I am now working in a daycare facility though and love it. It is a wonderful place to work and I will miss the kids I have in my room so much!! Maybe some of them will follow me to my home daycare!!!

Hi just read your message about work etc im from the uk we get 9 months off work so Im planning on taking the 9 months off I really dont want to go back but finacially I have no choice, Im thinking about going back to work part time maybe 2/3 days a week, over here they do allow 12 months off but they dont pay you after 9 so I guess I will definately be back after the 9 months ; ( or and by the way the pancakes things is so nice ! x

I have to go back to work after 6 weeks...and I'm definitly going to be draggin my feet. I'm in the military and that is all the time off I get. But the last thing I want to do is take her to daycare. It's going to be hard b/c my husband walked out when I was about 8 weeks so it's just me....Yah!

Kvandyck0627, I so feel the same way. I am amazed with the whole process!!! Just last nite I stood naked in front of the mirror and wondered how is it possible for my baby to be living, eating, playing in there while I'm going through my daily activities. All I can say is that it truly is a MIRACLE!!! And for me who's a believer, I've gained a greater appreciation of God's infinite wisdom.

your comment in week 18 made me laugh... and i totally know what your mean about something living inside you... :)

agonzales - Wednesday, 16 April
Oh and by the way I just saw your pics of you surprising your husband with the breakfast lol and I thought that was so funny and creative.

agonzales - Wednesday, 16 April
I think the same thing. I think its so weird (not in a bad way lol) that we have a human being growing inside of us. Its so cool and beautiful though.

kqirko - Tuesday, 15 April
ohhh by the way we are due on the same day. Are you finding out??? I am on May 1st, cant wait

kqirko - Tuesday, 15 April
Thank you sooooo much. You make me feel a lot better. Everyone at work told me not to worry about it, but I couldn't help it. I just ate so much today to make up for the lost weight :). I do have reserves especially in my but area but I am waiting for my belly to show. Im showing a little bit, but not much. Im 5'8 so I think I take it with the height.
Well Thank you again, and i wish you all the best :)

ezrasmommy - Tuesday, 15 April

ytkatie - Tuesday, 15 April
I haven't felt a thing either...at least nothing I could definately say was the baby! I wouldn't worry about it, I've read it could take until week 21 for your first.

mommykatrn - Thursday, 27 Mar
You're due a week earlier!! That's so exciting!! Congrats!

neenee1971 - Monday, 24 Mar
Wonderful news that you are due the 16th! So glad all is well. I had my nuchal translucency ultrasound and am in no danger of down's at this time. Thank goodness!!!!! I get this because I am advanced maternal aged. Just a nicer way to say I am old. lol Never thought 36 would be old.

neenee1971 - Sunday, 23 Mar
Just checking in to see how you are doing. Almost 14 weeks! Can you believe it?

alyssamarie - Thursday, 6 Mar
