A little bit about our family...

My husband and I met through a friend of his when I was a Junior in High School (in October of 1997). We started dating November 19, 1997 and have been together ever since. I was 16 when we met and he was 19. We were engaged on Valentine's Day 1998 (after just a few months of knowing each other but when it's right I think you know right away!) and married on January 9, 1999 (the day after my 18th birthday). We bought our first house in March of 1999 and that's where we brought our first two daughters home to. Kylee Shay was born in March of 2003 after one round of the fertility drug Clomid. Andrea Lynn (Andee) was born in May 2005 after two rounds of Clomid. In September of 2006 we sold our house and moved from the city to the country (although it's only about 15 minutes away from our first home!). I have been a stay at home mommy since I was about 12 weeks pregnant with Andee. I love staying at home and I love my girls more than anything (my hubby too of course!). Kylee will start PreK this fall and we are very excited! Our son will be born soon after that. My life is better than I ever could have imagined and I wouldn't change a thing! I am married to a wonderful man who truely is the love of my life and I have two beautiful, smart, caring daughters and I'm now expecting our first son.

June 5, 2007

Well, we just got back from the doctor's office and IT'S A BOY! When she put the image up on the screen I said "It's a boy" before she said anything. It is definetly a boy too! Here's the pics!

June 28 (22wks 4days)

I had the craziest dream yesterday. I dreamed that I was getting ready to go in and have the baby and I was talking to my Maw (my grandma) and I told her that we were naming the baby Nathaniel. She said "No, you can't name him Nathaniel. That's what Amber (my cousin that's due the same time as me) named her little boy". I started paniking. I ran out of the house and was running all around everywhere freaking out because I didn't have a name for the baby and he was being born the next day. I called my hubby and was crying saying that we'd never find a name for him. I woke up and I was so upset. It took me a few seconds to realize that we don't even want to name him Nathaniel! How weird! Pregnancy dreams are the strangest things and they seem SO REAL! Kylee and I went to her school yesterday to register her 'officially' since she was accepted into the PreK program. We got a little folder that says "Valley Institute Bull Dogs". She was so excited. She said "Mommy! I'm going to be a Bull Dog!" On the way home she must have thought about it because she said "Mommy, Bull Dog's aren't my favorite dog. Poodles are." How cute! We got this little card board thing that has 14 different doors on it. Two weeks before school starts she opens one door a day. I can't believe my little girl starts school this year! How crazy! It's just PreK but she'll do everything that the older kids do. She'll have music, gym, art, etc. She has the exact same schedule as the older kids and everything! I just hope I don't have a nervous breakdown when she starts! Well, my next appointment is Tuesday! I'll keep everyone updated!

July 3 (23 wks 2 days)

I had an appt today. All is well. Doc says that everything looks great. BP was 104/60 and he said my weight gain was fine. I asked him about the constant grinding in my pelvic area and he said that there's nothing I can do about it. He also said it shouldn't get worse so that's a good thing! I have my glucose test scheduled for my next appt which is in 4 weeks. After that I'll start going every two weeks! YAY! That's when it starts flying by! Little Ryan has been pretty calm today. He was kicking the doppler when she was listening to him. How cute! I have another U/S at 32 weeks. I can't wait to see him again! I'm still debating on wether or not to get the 4D done. I'd love to but $100 would go a long way toward baby stuff too!! Maybe I'll hint around and see if someone wants to pay for it for me! :)

July 4 (23 wks 3days)

I forgot to add yesterday that the nurse said they have my due date as Oct 23. I asked her because when they did my U/S at 19wks she said I was measuring one day off. I was just curious as to which way so I asked. I'm not changing my stuff though because it's too much of a hassel! I'll just tell people from now on that I'm due then instead of the 28th. Yay for me, that's 5 days sooner! Ryan decided to quit being quiet after dinner last night. Hubby and I were laying on the couch watching a movie and he had his arm over my belly and the baby kept kicking him like crazy! Every time he'd move his arm to a different position Ryan would start kicking there! My hubby said "why is he going crazy like that"? It was nice though. That's another reason that I think God chose women over men to have the babies. My hubby would go nuts if he was sitting around trying to relax or go to sleep and there was a little person in there rolling and kicking and punching! Well, Happy 4th of July to all!

July 8 (24 wks)

Our family reunion was yesterday. We had it at the lake. It was really hot but there was lots of shade at the shelter we used and a nice breeze off the water so it wasn't too bad. The food was awesome! We had BBQ and all the wonderful things that go along with it. There were so many different delicious desserts that I didn't know where to start (or to stop for that matter!). The girls had a great time playing with all of their cousins. They all went swimming too. My son has to be the most active baby in the world! Kylee got to feel him kick really hard tonight! It was awesome! She thought it was the best thing ever!! My mother in law got to feel him too! It was neat. This morning my hubby put his arm around me and it must have woken Ryan up because he started going crazy! It acually woke me up he was moving so much! Kylee and Andee never woke me up when I was pregnant with them. Even at the very end before I had them I never woke up with them moving. How am I ever going to sleep when he gets bigger?!? I guess I'll have to worry about that when the time comes! Andee has her 2 year check up tomorrow and she'll be getting shots (lovely!) so we'll have a not so fun day tomorrow! Have a great night all!

July 15 (25 wks)

I miss my Kylee Shay!!! She left this morning to go on a week long trip to South Carolina. She went with her daddy's Mamaw and Papaw and her great aunt Tootie and three of her cousins (Tateland, Isabelle, and Grayson). She is going to visit her other great aunt and all her cousins there. She will be with her other little cousins (Cheyanne, Kaylee, Lona, and Leranda). I know that she's going to have a great time but she's never been away from me before so I'm really having anxiety over it. I called her when she got there and she didn't even want to talk to me! She said she was too busy playing. When she finally got on the phone she said that she won a dollar on the way down. Then she said 'do you know why I won it mommy? Because I was the first one to go to sleep and I slept a long time!' I told her I'd call her tonight before she goes to bed. Andee is a little lost without Kylee because she's never been away from her either. She just kind of wonders around the house aimlessly. It's kind of sad. Her daddy and I took her to the park tonight and that was fun.

Okay, now for some baby news. Nothing really new to report on the pregnancy itself, just some pregnancy-related complaints. Can anyone say 'PELVIC PAIN!!!'??? It's crazy! It's like my bones just grind together when I move. I can litterally hear it in my head it's so bad. It takes me five minutes to turn over or to get up when I've been laying down. Of course Jason thinks it's hilarious. He said I look like a 400 lb person trying to muster the strength to turn over. Ha, ha. Funny. It sucks that's all I know. I don't know how I'm going to be able to walk when I get further along. I guess I'll have to rent a wheel chair. :P Well, I think I'll go make me some waffles. Yes, it's 8:15 at night but so what? I've been SOOO HUNGRY today!

July 19, 2007 (25 wks 4 days)

Good morning to all. I just finished eating a bowl of Cocoa Crispies and then some Caramel Caribou ice cream (yes, it's only 9:30 am). No wonder my butt's getting so big huh? Anyway, I am so axious to meet baby Ryan and introduce him to my girls. Andee says that he's going to sleep in her bed and she's going to hold him. I doubt that, but hey, at least she seems like she's getting more excited about him! I still don't know what I'm going to do about letting Kylee stay in the room with me. Last night we were talking (me and Jason) about when I go into labor. See, Ryan is due in our deer hunting season and Jason is a very avid deer hunter. He has several places within 20 mins or so around our house where he can hunt but the problem is, by the time I call him and he has time to get down out of the tree, get all his stuff, walk out of the woods and drive home then it's going to be like an hour until he gets here. He said that I'll just have to drive myself if I get to hurting too badly so that when we get to the hospital it won't be too late for the epidural. Of course if the doctor says that I look like I'm about to go into labor then he won't be going hunting, but I'm not going to ask him to stay out of the woods until I have the baby! They didn't think I'd be going anytime soon when I had my last appoinment with Andee and I went into labor the very next morning! I wouldn't mind driving myself to the hospital at all EXCEPT in my previous two labors I don't start hurting until I'm about 5cm and then the hard pains just come out of nowhere! There is no way that I could load up both the girls, drive to the hospital (which is only like 10-15 mins away), unload them, get them up to Labor & Delivery and watch them while they hook me up to all the machines and get things going. I mean, my MIL and my mom live close by but what if they weren't home? Maybe induction is sounding better and better all the time. I guess we'll just decide when it gets closer to time.

July 22 (26 wks 2 days)

I forgot how much fun school shopping is. Kylee starts preK in the fall and we went shopping all day Saturday. It was so much fun! Ryan is doing well. He's still moving like crazy and it's starting to hurt a little. The lovely trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night are back too. Loveley. When I get up in the middle of the night it's a big production because it takes me five minutes to roll over, sit up on the end of the bad, and then finally stand. By then Jason's awake too. Poor guy. The pelvic pain is getting better so that's nice. Two weeks until my glucose test. I hope everything goes okay.

August 1 (27 wks 2 days)

Wow, is it really August already? How crazy is that? It seems like yesterday it was Christmas. Time sure flies when you have kids to keep you busy! We had such a wonderful weekend. It was boiling hot and felt like a terrible sauna outside but it was great. Jason and I went out to eat on Saturday without the kids. When we were done we met them at the lake and stayed the night. Sunday we took Jason's mom and dad's new boat out. It was so nice. It didn't even feel hot with all that wonderful wind blowing in our hair! Tomorrow we are going to go back out. Jason is going to ski and wakeboard so that will be fun to watch. Baby Ryan is moving like crazy. His favorite thing now is to stick body parts (I assume either a foot or knee from the way it feels) out my right side. It hurts too! I have to rub it and kind of push it back in before he gets the point that I don't like it. I have one day and one week left until my Glucose test. I hope it goes well. The sound of a diet just terrifies me! Well, have a good week everyone.

August 3 (27 wks 5 days)

My poor Andee...she was running through the kitchen yesterday and fell. No big deal usually but some how she fell on something that put a huge scratch down her face. It looks aweful. It's not just a little scratch, but a very deep one. I hope it doesn't scar. It goes all the way from the bottom of her left eye to almost the top of her lip. I put peroxide on it (I told her it was makeup so she let me do it) but I don't know if that will help it not scar or not. I hope so. I think I'll call the pediatrician tomorrow and see what they recommend to put on it to keep it from leaving a scar. Ryan has started to roll a lot more than kick. It feels weird. He also likes to stick body parts out and roll them around. It's kind of painful sometimes. I still love it at the same time. It's sad to think this is the last time in my life I'll ever be pregnant. Maybe we'll win the lottery so we'll have the money to have more. I guess we should start playing if we plan on winning, huh? Well, Kylee and Andee are playing with the big, monsterous Dora the Explorer doll house. Kylee got it the year before last for Christmas, along with every single piece of furniture, dolls, outdoor stuff, etc. to go along with it. Up until about a week ago it sat in her room gathering dust. It's funny but they've started really playing with stuff lately. It's kind of nice to see. Since they've discovered that it's actually fun to play pretend they've had it out everyday. That means I have to pick up a million pieces everyday. Oh well, it keeps them busy!

August 8 (28wks 3days)

Today I had my glucose test. It wasn't bad. I actually like the taste of the drink, plus I was thirsty so I drank it down in like two minutes! I was afraid it would make me feel sick but it didn't. That was good. We were there from 8:30-10:00. Kylee and Andee both did really well considering. Kylee took some snacks in her *new lunch box* and Andee took some blocks for them to play with. When they were trying to get Ryan's HB it took FOREVER because he kept rolling around and kicking. She said that I have a very active baby. Well, duh! I've gained 22lbs so far. YUCK! So, if I gain a pound a week then that puts me at 35lbs. We'll see how it goes! My BP was 120/64 and my uterus was 29cm. Right on target! My next appointment is in two weeks so I'll update again when I get more news!

August 13 (29wks 1day)

I am such a proud mommy! Tonight we went to Kylee's PreK orientation. She did great! It seems like all the other parents and kids in her class got there at the same time as us so it was crowded. Kylee walked over to the teacher (who was sitting with another little girl and her mommy) and said "Hi, my name is Kylee Shay V--H--. This is my sister Andrea, Andrea V--H--." The teacher looked up at me and said "Wow, she's really vocal!" I thought, 'yeah, you don't know the half of it!!' She did really well. She mostly played in the room while daddy and I talked to the teacher and set up our home visit. The teacher is coming to our house on Tuesday. She'll bring some more paperwork and do a 'speech test' on her (which she said that Kylee will obviously have no trouble with). She asked us if Kylee would be riding the bus and I told her that she would be eventually but that I might bring her at first. She said that it's better if they get into the routine from day one instead of switching around. I don't know...we'll see! I got all teary eyed and a big tear ran down my face when we were talking to the teacher. Jason said that he got tears in his eyes when Kylee introduced herself. If we're this emotional over PreK, just imagine how we'll be when she gets older!! Last night Ryan decided that the most comfy place for him to keep his foot (I think it was his foot) was right between two of my ribs! It was the weirdest feeling! My girls never did that! I couldn't make him move because when I pushed in against him I was just pushing my ribs...he kept what ever it was there for like five minutes! Painful! I can't wait until I get to meet him!!! We've started on his nursery...kind of. We have the bedding in there and all of Andee's stuff is out. I'm going to try and paint soon. It's getting more exciting with each passing week!

Monday, August 20 (30wks 1day)

What a great weekend we had. Am I really 30 weeks already?!? How crazy is that!?! I can not believe that I only have 10 weeks left. It's just insane. Maybe this pregnancy has gone by so quickly because it's my third and I'm chasing around a four and two year old. Or maybe it's because I'm pregnant in the summer this time and we're always on the go... Either way, it sure has flown by. We had such a wonderful weekend. We spent the whole time at the lake. We went out Saturday morning and went on the boat to a beach and set up there with a bunch of Jason's aunts...they are so funny and we had a great time! When we got back to the camper to eat I stood up and I was all swollen, my hair was aweful from being on the boat all day, my face was red and sweaty, and Jason took my hand and said "you're so beautiful carrying my child". I almost cried my eyes out. I thought it was so sweet! Okay, about the baby...I'm pretty sure that he's laying completely sideways across my belly. He was stretching out and I felt my side and I could feel like his whole leg bone! It was crazy! I have my next doctor's appointment Wed so I'll update more then!

August 22 (30wks 3days)

I just got back from the doc's office. Everything was fine. He is --finally-- head down, which is good. I thought he was because the other night I could feel his little butt at the top of my stomach! My BP was 112/68 and his HB was 142. I measure 30cm exactly which is great. They scheduled my next - and last - U/S for Tuesday. The only bad thing is that my doctor's office's U/S tech is out of town next week so I have to go to the office beside them and I don't know if they do video or pictures there. I sure hope so! I had gained --4 lbs-- in two weeks though!!! I guess maybe because last time when I went I had my GD test done (which I passed with 'flying colors' by the way) and I had been fasting. This time I had just eaten a big lunch and I'd been drinking tea all morning. I'm sure that adds at least a little bit! She asked me if I'd been having any actual contractions and I told her yes, that I'd had a few. She said if I have any more than four in an hour that I need to call them. I guess because it's my third? Who knows. Well, that's about it for today's visit. I'll update after I get my U/S Tuesday!

August 27 (31 wks 1day)
First of all...what the heck is happening to all my blinkies? Every time I log on it seems like another one has stopped showing up. All you see is a little box with a red "X" in it. Aggravating! I guess I'll have to go on another hunt to find more! Ryan is absolutely killing me with all the movement! It's all he does! I swear I think there might be two in there because if not this boy never sleeps! Today was Kylee's first day of school. How exciting! I can't believe how big she's getting, or how fast it's happening! You would have thought it was her dad and I's first day of school instead of hers. We were SO NERVOUS waiting for the bus! Daddy went to work later so he could watch her get on the bus for the first time. I posted the pics in the photo sec of my page. When the bus got here she just climbed right up and never looked back! I can't wait until she gets home today...only about 15 minutes to go! I'm going to try and take a pic of her getting off the bus too. If I can get it I'll post it later. Well, that's all for now. I hope everyone is feeling better than I am. I took a nap and woke up to nausea and a stomach ache...could've been the Milkey Way candy bar I ate before I laid down and the Mountain Dew I drank!

August 30 (31wks 4days)

Well, I've been having major problems updating this page...I would get all my stuff on here and then something would happen and it wouldn't save. UGH! Anyway...I went for my U/S on Tuesday. We were supposed to go to a different place because my doctor's office's U/S tech is on vacation this week. So we go there (it's just right beside my doc's office) and we wait about ten minutes and they call us back. Just as we walk through the door the lady says "Her doctor's office just called and said for her to come on over there and they'll do it at the office". Okay...that's fine. I like the U/S machine they have anyway. I asked my husband "I wonder who's going to do it since Michelle's on vacation?" We get over there and they take me straight back. There is a new doctor in the practice (he's not a NEW doctor, just NEW to our office) and he takes me back. He gets to looking at my chart and says "Huh, why would you be having a biophysical profile done at 31 weeks?" I said "I'm just supposed to be having the routine growth scan that you have at 32 weeks." Well, they put it in the computer wrong and apparently he can't do a 'growth scan'....SOOOOO, he tells me that we'll just look at the baby and get some good pics and reschedule me to come back in two more weeks. We did get to look at his face and it's beautiful! His little head was so low and he was facing my right hip bone. I can't believe that my uterus would allow him to be that far down already but apparently it can! He is still most definetly a boy too. He was sucking on his fist and drinking amnionic fluid while we were watching. How amazing that they do all that while they're inside you!?! It kind of worries me that he might have the cord around his neck when he's born because it was crossing over his face. It would move from up around his eyes to around his nose and mouth. I hope it doesn't wrap around his neck. That's scary! Well, Kylee Shay is still LOVING school. Thank goodness! She jumps out of bed in the mornings and can't wait to get on the bus! I just hope it lasts! That's all for now...we're off to a mini-vacation this weekend so I'll update sometime next week if anything interesting happens!

October 4 (36wks 4days)

I can't believe that the pages got erased. What a crock! It seems like there's always something wrong with this site. Oh well. A lot of my updates got erased. That sucks because I was going to keep this and print it out for his baby book after I have him. Oh well. Don't cry over spilled milk I guess.

I went to the doc's on Tues. I'm 1 1/2cm and 50-60% effaced. All measured well and his HB was 136. My BP was 115/70 and weight was 191.8. I've been having contractions but nothing too painful and nothing to get excited over. I guess I'm just 'getting ready'. Every little twitch or tinge that I feel gets me all excited and then it ends up being nothing. That's life I guess. The doc said he'd induce me at 38 weeks if everything is 'ripe' and it looks like it's going to be. I hope so anyway. I know that there is a lot of mixed feelings about induction but for us it's just going to be a whole lot easier. I have Kylee and Andee to think about and I don't want Jason to miss the birth because no one is available to watch them for us. Anyway...I guess that's all for now. I'm disappointed in the way my page looks because I was loving the look of it before it was erased and now I can't find all the blinkies and stuff. Oh well. That's life I guess!

October 9 (37wks 2days)

Nothing exciting at the doc's today...I'm now 2cm and 70% effaced. He's still low but not 'too low'. My weight was 192.6 and my BP was 102/70. His HB was 120 but she said that was because he was sleeping. She got him moving around and it went up nicely. Dr. Samuel stripped my membranes and said hopefully that'll get things moving along. He also said that even though it doesn't seem like much that any progression is good in the dialating and effacing. Easy for him to say! He's not the one who's carrying this baby around! :) He said that he guessed his weight was between 6 1/2 and 7lbs...piece of cake! As long as he's not over 8lbs then I'll be fine! So, to sum things up, the waiting game is still going on. Every twinge, gas pain, cramp, etc. sends my mind whirling wondering if it's 'time' and it's not been so far...The only hope he gave me was when we were leaving and he said "I'll see you next week, if not before". Here's hoping for 'BEFORE'!!

October 14 (38 weeks)

Well, I went to my doc's appt on Friday and saw Dr. Harmon. She's not my regular OB but she said that she would schedule me to be induced on Mon (tommorrow). The only thing was that she had to get ahold of my regular doc to make sure that he had time in his schedule Monday to fit that in (he was out of the office at a research convention). So, of course she couldn't get him to answer his cell. She told me to come in on Mon ready to head over to the hospital for induction but that she couldn't say 100% because she didn't know what all he had scheduled for that day. Well, he is supposed to be out of the office again Tues-Thurs so he'll probably say something like 'I have a plane to catch right after work and I don't feel comfortable inducing you because you might not deliver before I leave.' That will be SOOO my luck. When I saw Dr. Harmon on Friday she said that she didn't think that I'd even make it until Monday. Looks like I will :(. Saturday morning at about 4am I woke up with really bad contractions and after about an hour my hubby and I were off to the hospital. About half way there they all but stopped and I was just cramping a little. So we turned around and came home. Ooops, false alarm. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'll keep everyone posted! :)

October 16 (38wks 2days)

Well, obviously I wasn't induced yesterday. My doc said he didn't want to do it because he is out of town today until Friday. SOOO, he scheduled me for Friday morning at 6:30am. I went and preregistered at the hospital yesterday so I won't have to deal with it on Friday morning. He said that they'd start pitocin and then he'd come and break my water. I was 3cm dialated yesterday. He didn't mention the effacement and I didn't ask. He said that I should have a very easy and succesful induction since my body is already 'so ready'. He said that Ryan is low and every thing looks good. I lost two pounds. That's usually a sign that labor is around the corner. He stripped my membranes again too. Hopefully I'll hold out until Friday because Jason is off on Friday-Mon (then he'll take off Mon and Tues at least), Kylee will be home for the weekend from school, my MIL and FIL are off Fri-Mon too. When they took my BP it was high but it was because I had the worst morning in the history of the world. First I got a letter from the bank saying my car payment was past due. NO WAY! So I called them and sure enough I forgot to make a payment sometime. That means I had two car payments to pay instead of one. Lovely. Then I was sitting at a stop sign behind an old lady and all the sudden she puts her car into reverse and slams right into the front of my car!!! Luckily it didn't do any damage other than denting my license plate in. Then I went to cash a check that someone had given me for $100 so we'd have cash for the hospital and stuff and they wouldn't cash it because it was bad!! So needless to say I was just a LITTLE stressed by the time we go to the docs office. :) I guess today HAS to be better than yesterday, huh? Well, that's it for now. I'm sure I'll update again before Friday morning. We're turning off the internet but hopefully we'll keep it through like Mon so I can put up my birth story and some pics of Ryan.

October 18 (38wks 4days)

Okay, Kylee has a really bad cough (she started getting it two days ago) and Jason has a runny nose and is sneezing. Great. Poor Ryan will be surrounded by germs right from birth! :( What can I do though? I guess I'll just have to make the best of it and use lots of GermX.

It's starting to kick in that today is the last day that we'll be a family of four. It's kind of sad really. Is it selfish of us to take more attention away from Kylee and Andee? I kind of feel like it is. I know they'll love their brother but they'll be getting less of me and daddy. That's sad. I know they'll adjust just fine but it still makes me feel a little guilty. I wanted to take them to the park this evening so we could spend some quality time with just them but it's raining today (of course) so I don't know what we'll do.

I'm getting nervous about the induction. I've never been induced before and it scares me. I'm going to do everything I can today and tonight to try and go into labor on my own before in the morning. I hope it works. The pitocin thing just scares me. I don't want to have a bad labor or have something go wrong with Ryan. I know I won't be able to sleep tonight either. I thought about asking the doc if I could take a Tylenol PM or something but then I'm afraid I'll be drowsy tomorrow from it because I've never taken a sleeping aid before. Oh well. Less than 20 hours until my induction!

Ryan Leland is HERE!! 8 lbs 5.6 oz and 21.5 in long!! 10/19/07 @ 11:54 am!!

I got to the hospital at 6:30 Friday morning. They got me in my gown and started all the paperwork and IVs and stuff. They started my IV at about 7:00 am but they didn't start my pitocin until around 8am. We noticed that there was a kink in the line after a little while (the one the pitocin was coming in from) so I wasn't getting any. It was about 9am before they got it going right. I started having contractions about thirty minutes later. Once my contractions started they gave me my epidural. It was a lot different this time because when I had my epidurals before I was always in really bad pain so I hardly felt the epidural at all. This time I felt it all! It didn't really hurt but there was a lot of pressure. It took about twenty minutes to kick in and then I started to feel good. Well, about 11 o'clock I started to feel my contractions again and they were pretty bad. It was right above my pubic bone and all the way across. The nurse (who we all LOVED) went to get the doc to check me. I was 8cm already!!! He broke my water and I can't believe how much came out! It was three times as much as what I had with Kylee and Andee. The anesthesiologist came in and gave me some more of the epi meds because I was hurting really bad but it still didn't take it away. At about 11:50 the doc came in and said I could start pushing. I pushed once and he told me to stop. He got all of his stuff on and said that with the next push we'd have a baby! I pushed again and his head was out. They suctioned him and then told me to push again. After one more push his shoulders were out and he was here! He has been nursing REALLY well and sleeping AMAZINGLY GREAT! The first night he slept all night long and only woke up once to nurse. Last night he woke up every three hours on the dot to nurse and then would go straight to sleep again. When he's awake during the day he's very peaceful and doesn't cry at all. He only fusses when I change him. I'm going to try and put some pics of him on right now. For some reason my camera doesn't want to download them. :( Figures.

Here is a labor prediction thingy I did:

Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be slightly overcast. Your baby will arrive in the morning.

After a labor lasting approximately 6 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 12 ounces, and will be 20-1/2 inches long. This child will have blue eyes and be almost bald.

But there is more. Although you may feel tired, your pregnancy will be over before you are truly ready to let go of having this precious baby you have all to yourself. I sense that you will look back and long for these days. I suggest doing something now to preserve some memories of this time. Many women enjoy making a belly cast. Perhaps you would be interested, too.

I am pretty much gonna relax this weekend. Could not make it to Target to use the gift card yesterday starting not to feel good after I went to pay acouple bills. Finally found Em a fall jacket still she needs shoes. I decided not to over do myself yesterday. All my september stuff got erased on the vip page so I am not writing anything else that makes me mad. I will take a pic of my belly and post it sometime this weekend have to charge the batteries for the digital camera first. I am going to try to use the other gift card to babysrus to at least get diapers and wipes. I have asmall pack of size one that starts out at 8lbs. Should I get a newborn size? Been six years since I have had to diapers, lol. Anyways Em just got up gotta get her breakfast, talk to u later.

You got me wanting a milkshake now. :) Sounds delicious! Chris and I are going to the city-wide garage sales tomorrow. Kinda odd how they're in October, but, to say the least, I'm looking forward to it! It is only 5:10am and I'm awake. Haven't slept good tonight. My arms and hands go numb really fast and so that keeps me wide awake. Also the throbbing in my feet kinda get old. Feels like all I do anymore is complain :( I want to enjoy the last weeks of being pregnant, but it never turns out that way. Hope you have fun watching your neice and nephew. Sounds like you're gonna be BUSY! I'll be on some tomorrow. Not sure what else we're gonna be doin, but I'll write you throughout the day. Hope you guys have a good day. Talk to ya soon! ~WHITNEY

motherof1and1onway - Saturday, 6 Oct
this page is messed up. It's already saying that it's Saturday the 6th. Anyway, yeah we went and dropped off the urine, hopefully since we dropped it off in the ER lab that they'll test it over the weekend. Cause since Monday is a holiday, they won't be open. We'll see though. If they said they were going to take him next week, I'd be estatic! Just think though, Saturday & Sunday we'll both be 37 weeks and we're considered full-term! WOO HOO! Well, hopefully you won't go into labor while Jason is gone.. but hopefully with the BH getting stronger, that means you're getting closer! We can only hope, right!! :) Are they going to strip your membranes next week or did they do that last appointment?

motherof1and1onway - Saturday, 6 Oct
Ughh I am in SUCH a cleaning mood. But I can't do anything... DRIVING ME CRAZY! I just unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, did laundry and folded it.. and my feet are HUGE. I am in the mood to clean out closets and everything. lol GOSH IT IS DRIVING ME BONKERS NOT BEING ABLE TO DO ANYTHING!!!!!! How are you feeling? Any contractions or any feeling of a baby coming?? Has Jason called like every 10 minutes to check on you? :) Chris would be I know!! Ok, well I'm sure I'll be on here all night, not much else I can do. Talk to ya soon!!!

motherof1and1onway - Friday, 5 Oct
So here is the latest. I can't go to MO, b/c I have to be referred out and these doctors wont do it b/c of how far along I am. However, they are STILL booked until November, so I'm not sure what they plan on doing about seeing me. There aren't any OB/GYN's here that are accepting new patients. So that is out. But regardless, the doctors here aren't referring patients out of their care. Why if they are so booked? Anyway, so I talked to my doctor directly on the phone and explained to him how stressed out I am from the care that I HAVENT been getting there and the only thing he told me, was write your questions down and we'll discuss them next time. Well, I finally have an appointment- 'somewhat'.. I have to go in on the 10th and wait and hope and pray I get seen, b/c he's on call that day, so he'll be at L&D and not the regular doctors office. So confusing and SCREWED UP. I have to take the jug of urine in here around 4:00 or so. They say do it for 24 hours, but it is already almost full. Ugh, I will definately be excited for Logan to be here. I just want to make sure I Dont have preeclampsia. It scares me to death to think I could have something and them not catch it. I stay off my feet and watch my salt intake and drink TONS of water- actually drink more than I usually do, which is a lot... so not sure about any of this stuff anymore. Just stressed and need a break from here. :) WHEN WILL HE GET HERE???????

karenw - Friday, 5 Oct
Been feeling really tired, sleep while Em is at school. Went to the doctor yesterday and gained three pounds in two weeks and my blood pressure was way up at 138/84 which usually its at around110 or 114 over like 70. The said he will see what it is next week he is not concerned and said it is not preclampsia I don't have the other smymptons. Baby's HB 150 and I measure at 36cm. I am mad when I got on my vip page and everything from september that I wrote is not there, don't get it. I am ready to have this baby too but I will let nature take its course I had Em at 38 weeks 3 days so I know we probably have ours within one or two weeks to go. Em wants to be a witch this year. Her cousin gave that costume a few years ago and it fits her brand new never been worn still was in the packaging so that saves me time. The last three years she has been a princess. At target in the baby section on the endcap for baby infants the have these cute halloween hats they are knit just like the newborn kind and have like a ghost one and I forget the other two they have. I thought that would be neat to get and wait till next year for Jacob to wear something. I want to take him trick or treating with Em this year if its not to cold out. Gonna be 85 today and hot. Well its 7am and got to get Em up soon for school and that and have to do a few errands this morning while I am feeling good and want to use the gift card to get the rest of the things we need for the baby before he comes.

motherof1and1onway - Friday, 5 Oct
Hey! Yeah I am still realllly upset about the whole doctor thing. I'm stressed about not having an upcoming appointment b/c they're too booked. Not sure what that is all about. Ugh. Anyway, so I found a doctor back home, it's my friends FIL, and he said he'd take the baby at 38 weeks b/c if I have +2 protein in my urine that is pretty high and he'd be scared to let me go further than 38 weeks. All I have to do is transfer my tricare insurance stuff. I just get nervous about riding again for 8 hours, but at least Chris will be driving intsead of me! :) Ughh. Hope you can sleep tonight! I sleep in the spare bedroom with Macie. lol I cant sleep with chris while I'm pregnant, b/c he hogs the bed and his alarm clock goes off at 4:00am. Crazy. I'm doing the 24 hour protein thing. JOY JOY. :) Ughh, I just cant wait for this to be over. And yes it'd be SO nice to be able to push a button to start everything!! :) I get jealous seeing that other people have had their babies that are in the same week! Of course everything happens for a reason and I need to stay calm about everything... :) Email me back if you want, I am usually up until 3am or later... can't EVER get to sleep. :(

Oh, Chris has a 4day weekend coming up! WOO HOO!!!! I am sooo excited. That means I'll get to take it easy while he does everything (I HOPE!) haha :) Talk to you soon!

ladybaugh - Friday, 5 Oct
Thank you!!!!

motherof1and1onway - Thursday, 4 Oct
Yep it's freaking ridiculous, I'm at a loss of words. They say you have to have protein in your urine to have preeclampsia, and I do.. So what are we waiting for? It freaks me out to have my feet be this huge. I am getting a 2nd opinion from my best friends father-in-law who is a doctor. So hopefully he will tell me what he thinks tonight. I may be driving home to Missouri so HE can deliver Logan. These people aren't taking me seriously. It is so freaking stressful, I can't think of anything else but their stupidity!

motherof1and1onway - Thursday, 4 Oct
Good mornin!! Well, my swelling is down, I guess it's good, but I wanted the doctor to see it. I am going to go to the mall today and walk around a bit and window shop. :) Maybe they'll swell up after that. That makes sense about the strep B thing. I will ask him today if it's really necissary. Maybe he'll check me and if I'm dialated at all, he'll consider taking Logan a little early. Gosh, I'm getting desperate. lol Sad how impatient I am. Oh well, we're technically pregnant for 10 months, so... yeah we're all a little impatient. haha :) I seen hrder2breathe3 had her baby! She is on my myspace. Sad she had to be sent to a different hospital. I can't imagine coming home without my baby! Must suck. She is definately a cutie pie though. So tiny. I am so excited I can barely stand it. :) Well, at least Jason isn't in another state, ya know! And you have family nearby. Hopefully he'll make it back in time if you do go into labor. Who knows... with your 3rd child, he could come in an hour! Gosh wouldnt that be nice. Do you get epidurals or do you do it without anything? I'm nervous that the epidural isn't going to work for me when I go for the c-sec. I had 3 different ones with Macie and none of them worked on me. So I'm nervous!! Anyway I will write you after my doc appointment. WISH ME LUCK! It's not until 2:00... :( I have to wait allll day just about. Sheeesh. :) Talk to you soon!
