~*July 17, 2008*~ Today I am 33 weeks. I had my baby shower this past weekend, July 13th, and it was really nice. I wanted to update with some photos of Abigail's nursery and a few pictures from the shower!
The Nursery:
Baby Shower:
Me by the games and favors table
Her 3D autograph photo
Food!
My cute umbrella cake
Presents!
My hostess
My favorite present
~*June 28, 2008*~ Today we had our free week 30 ultrasound in 3D. She was so wiggly the entire time but we managed to get some good shots of her face rubbing, sleeping (at one point), and thumb sucking. We also got a B&W image of her foot up above her head/face, where it was one of the time! Gymnast! Her little cheeks and fingers have gotten chubbier. These are some of my favorites:
My little snuggly bunny
Hand up to her face
Hand covering her face, she had enough..
Her foot above her head!
Thumb sucking
Contemplating something!
Chubby fingers!

~*June 13, 2008*~ Well, happy Friday the 13th to me. I had my week 28 doctor visit. It was NOT fun. The glucose orange drink, which everyone said tasted like Sunkist, in fact did NOT. It was nasty. Even worse I had to chug it in 3 minutes. It was so early in the morning and so much sugar I almost got sick. I PRAY I do not have to do the 3 hour test. Then I had to have my finger pricked for my iron level check. For some reason it bled like crazy and still throbbed 2 hours later. After the drink processed and I filled out pre registration paperwork for the hospital, I had 2 vials of blood taken for the glucose test. My arm is so sore and bruised right now. Last but not least I had to have a shot for the Rh Negative issue. It hurt and burned... was right about my bum too. Awesome. The only plus to my visit is I am 3 pounds under weight. YES! I don't have to worry about a diet..... yet. Now I start seeing the doctor every 2 weeks. We're moving now. I thought I would do a comparison photo since I took a recent one today.
Week 28:
Week 12:
~*June 5, 2008*~ I am now in week 27 and we had our 3D ultrasound today. It was SO worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence. Even cooler, I got invited back in 3 weeks for free because she is training her friend to take over because she is also having a baby soon! So, I get a free 3D! It was the NICEST facility. So comfortable and beautifully set up and the girl was so super nice and she spent almost 40 minutes with us! We got a DVD of the entire session, pictures on CD, as well as 8 print outs. We got some neat 4D streaming shots of her smiling, waving, thumb sucking, and snuggling. She has the cutest nose and lips... she is perfect. We even got a 2D gender shot where you can clearly see the "hamburger"... girl all the way.
Here are two of my favorite shots, the rest can be found in my photos section.
Smiling!
Thumb sucker!
I am in love :)
~*April 24, 2008*~ Well, I had my week 21 doctor appointment today. It went great except I gained 10 pounds, UGH!... so.... to mark the occasion of everything going well and my lovely weight gain I decided to add week 21 belly photos! It could be worse, right??
~*April 22, 2008*~ Well, on Thursday I go for my week 21 check up. Hopefully I will get to hear her little heart beat again. In other news, her daddy made her the sweetest picture, I just wanted to share.
A daddy's girl already. :-)
~*April 15, 2008*~ These photos were taken from my 19 week ultrasound about a week ago. She had her little hand up to the side of her face most of the time as you will notice from my illustrations. :)
~*April 07, 2008*~ Well, I had my 18 week ultrasound today. Of course the tech seems to
think I am 19 weeks. I am NOT complaining there! My mom, husband, and
best friend went. The baby was so active. Had hand up to the face
almost the whole time, it was so cute... and perfectly healthy. Oh
and............
And I updated my baby names list, please re vote! :)
~*March 27,2008*~ Last night I had a dream we got the AFP test results back (baby abnormalities such as Down Syndrome, etc) and it was positive. I woke up so scared I went to check my cell phone. Sure enough, my nurse had called me with the results... they all came back... NEGATIVE! I feel so relieved!! Whew... just 11 more days until we try to find out the gender! :O
~*March 24, 2008*~ Today I had my 16 week doctor's appointment and for the first time we got to hear the baby's heart beat! It was indescribable. My eyes watered, I couldn't help it. 154 beats per minute, nice and strong. We also did the testing for down syndrome and other abnormalities. We will get the results for that on Friday.
Also, April 7th at 10am I have an ultrasound appointment where we will hopefully find out the gender! I am so excited... it is only two weeks away. I feel so relieved and happy.
About 5 minutes ago I felt VERY large movement. It startled me a LOT! It was one HUGE kick... I say huge because all I have felt the past few days are tiny little pulses. This felt like one HUGE pulse in my lower stomach. It scared me quite a lot! Not something I am used to feeling!!
~*March 22, 2008*~ I feel huge today...
~*March 19, 2008*~ I saw this in someone else's blog and thought it looked fun!

~*March 17, 2008*~ Happy St. Patrick's Day! My baby did a little Irish dance for me this morning!! I woke up, sat up for a minute... decided I was still tired so I laid back down on my left side. Well, I guess I woke the little baby up because for a brief few seconds I felt some flutters in my tummy... almost like butterflies flying around, and then it was gone! Aw.. :D
~*March 16, 2008*~ Hi
everyone! I am currently 15 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I hope to
schedule an ultrasound for my 18th week in hopes to find out the sex of
our baby! I have been married for only 6 months but have been with my
husband for almost 4 years. My pregnancy started out rocky but things
have been going good for the past two weeks. I will be relieved at my
next visit on March 24th when we can listen to the heartbeat!
nsudaisy - Friday, 27 June Thanks for the reply. A boy is what we were hoping for, but we weren't expecting to find out this soon. I've just heard stories of people being told the wrong thing too early...lol. But this one does look boyish to me. Thanks again.
erica78 - Friday, 27 June Hey Gorgeous!! Your pics are adorable..... I've always said so... and your newest one is no exception. You are rockin' one sexy baby bump! LOL
I hope you're "thinking pink" idea rubs off... because I am all about having a little girlie girl just like me. Though a little man would be adorable too.... he would be the smartest little thing on the planet and he would be able to fix, build, and or make anything just like his daddy.
My husband is literally a jack of all trades.... I've never known anyone who can do just about everything. I know I'd have my hands full with a son of his because he drove his parent nuts! He was the kind of kid that would get something new and take it apart so that he could see how it worked, then again.... I'm sure that's how he figured out how to do so many things. He can also sew, make fancy cakes, cook, and he can decorate too.... ahhhh... what a man! LOL.
Count down to u/s: 6 days! YEEE! HAAAH! That is going to be good times. It's at noon on the 3rd.. and I'm supposed to come back to work after it's done and I'm sooo not going to be able to concentrate cause all I'll be thinking about is the he or she that's in there kicking me.
Yes, it's true.... I've started to feel that little bugger in there this week. It's so weird and wonderful at the same time, and it took several little thumps before I even realized what was going on. I was watching a movie and they were so subtle, but after about the 5th one... I said to my husband... "Hey... I think someone's kicking me!" and he was like, "Huh?" lol It took him a minute too, to figure out what I was talking about.
So, how are you doing little momma? Are you ready for her to come on out already?
mumsie26 - Thursday, 26 June lol.. not too bad thou.. my little man won`t stay still he keeps lying across me then starts boxing my insides...lol..wink
upchurchmomma - Wednesday, 25 June My girly girl did not like them either!!! (hiccups) she kicked like crazy too...lol.....so much fun huh?!!
mumsie26 - Wednesday, 25 June poor you..i have no idea if you can prevent hem having hicups ... maybe they will fade soon..
devonp - Wednesday, 25 June We can almost can't the weeks left with our fingers. LOL I am so happy that it hasn't been too hot. I can feel the the head or bottom who knows what sitting on my right side its this hard bump that keeps pressing outward. Its starting to be really neat all the movements.
I am at the point where I have a doctors appointment every two weeks and get this the hospital sent me my bill already for my co-pay for the stay. I was a little confused so I called them and asked if I had to pay a head of time and they said no we just like to have our money before but you don't have to pay. I live an hour from the hospital my doctors use so I have always said that if I need to make it to the hospital in a rush I am going to use the one right near me. Its crazy how the insurance works. I don't work and I am not married so I pay cash for my insurance. So I have tons of co-pays and stuff but it is better then not having insurance at all.
How was your vacation?
ann1333 - Thursday, 19 June Hope it is something simple and easily fixed! Fingers crossed! At least you know you are in good company on this site- half of us have bizarre conditions that make us exhausted! haha
devonp - Wednesday, 18 June Thanks I will try bananas because they are starting to get more painful.
We are going to the New Jersey shore this weekend. (I am not sure why the beaches in jersey are called the shore and every where else in the world its called a beach thats my philly coming out I guess) So that should be fun. Its funny we had big plans for New years eve and I wasn't going to test before Jan 3 because thats when I should have missed my period and I just had to test so I didn't go out new years eve I was only like three weeks pregnant at the time but it still didn't feel right and we were going to take a nice vac before I got pregnant but all of our plans changed when I found out I was. I was so sick I couldn't go any where. So now we are trying to get a few weekend trips in before I have the baby. Your whole life changes from the minute you find out. All the money we had set a side for our big Vacation I spent on baby stuff. It was like my little treat for not getting to travel outside of the us. I have never been outside of the us well I lie I went to canada for two days but I wanted blue water and white sand.
I hope all is well with you and your little one.
julluv-08 - Wednesday, 18 June If you drink more water it should help the charlie horses! I get them alot! Also when you do get them the best thing to do is get up and walk around but be careful you dont fall! Good luck!!
soso4mommy - Tuesday, 17 June Maybe if you go to a health food store you could find a supplement that you could take. A lot of places like all natural stores have thing that would be good for you as well.
leeleesmom - Tuesday, 17 June lol Thanks for the advice. I love that name but my mother hates it and his mom likes it and I hate her! lol! I was going to use Jayla just to spite his family lolol, Any advice for that one! lol
lv2bamommy - Tuesday, 17 June Thank You for answering my question! I was getting worried that something was wrong with me! I hope it is implanation bleeding! Wish me luck!
alky - Monday, 16 June I had a charlie horse in my calf about 4 days ago and am still feeling the pain from it. I eat 2 banana's every day, and have for a while. (They're breakfast and a snack for me.. lol) So I'm bumbed! I just don't believe the banana thing. I also drink water CONSTANTLY, ::takes a sip from the glass right next to me:: I hope your charlie horse goes away and does not come back! (mine too!)
babymaj08 - Monday, 16 June Hey! Just wanted to let you know the banana thing works! I never ever get cramps. Got one the other morning and woke up screaming OUCH OUCH OUCH! I startled my husband so bad he woke up saying "Is it time?!" haha. I couldn't walk at all so I hobbled to the kitchen, ate a banana and within 30 minutes it was almost completely gone. You've got to try this!
miagraciani - Monday, 16 June hello about the leg cramps, i also get them everytime i stretch, but all i do is as soon as i feel one comming i flex my foot toward my knee and wala no cramp, i have been doing this through my whole pregnancy and i have not had to suffer from the pain, thank goodness lol good luck
devonp - Monday, 16 June I get them in my calf too. When mine get really bad and my stays hard for a long time I am sore from it for a few days. If they just come and I can rub it away I am not sore after the fact.
I love fall too. I have tons of home decor for fall we really go all out and the sad thing is we have lived in this house for 3 years and every year I buy tons of candy and we don't get trick or treaters. So this year it will be fun to take the baby to all of our friends and family's houses.
Well I hope your pain goes away and that you get to enjoy the last few months. I am thinking that I am only going to have one baby and be done. I was one of five and Bill has a daughter from his first marriage she is in her 20 but he still wont be an only child right? Its taking its toll on me. I have no idea how teenagers do this. Maybe it is easier the younger you are but I don't feel old.
soso4mommy - Monday, 16 June kytti.......I had the same thing happen to me about 2 months ago. One of the girls told me to eat bananas. I started to eat 2 to 3 a day and it worked no more Charlie horses. I fell well now, and they were really bad. Like yours the bump on my calf was the size of a golf ball. It took me about 3 days before I could really walk. All the best I hope it works for you as well as it did for me.
devonp - Monday, 16 June I don't really have any pain but sometimes when I wake up and have to pee really bad my back hurts. I also keep getting cramps in my legs I hate them I wake up and I scream because they hurt so bad and you really can't move. I was pretty thin to start with and I still have no clue on my body size. The other day I was at the food store and I tried to fit between the cart and the candy rack and I almost knocked everything over. I mean I was laughing because it was a move I made a million times but I guess those days are over.
My belly button didn't pop out yet but I had a pretty deep one to start and I don't have the dark line down my belly. I did get stretch marks on my boobs which makes me crazy. I had gotten heavy when I turned 21 I am 5'1 and I was like 145 lbs and then when I stopped being young and dumb and started watching what I ate I lost 30 or so lbs so my boobs didn't really look that good and again I wasn't thinking and had implants done. So they are taking a beating with going from small to fat to small again to implants. But other then that I am hoping at this point I will be able to get back into shape after the baby with no real signs of being pregnant. It just worries me because people say your body changes so much after you have kids and I really don't know what that means. I look at some of my friends and you can't tell they has kids. So who knows.
We are almost done. Its funny I love summer and I never wish for the end but this year I am praying that it goes by so fast.
devonp - Sunday, 15 June The not knowing is what gets me. My family is planning my shower so I have no idea on the details. I have the room painted but I still have to hang the border. Time has gone by so fast. My crib and dress and everything is already here so now the room is just a big mess everything is in the middle of the room. I can't wait for my shower I am dying to see all the cute little things people find. I have been doing really good with not buying anything because I don't want to over buy and the stuff not get used. I really didn't enjoy the changes in my body. I mean I love getting the belly and feeling the baby move but I can't sleep and I have to go to the bathroom all the time. I am really ready to have the my little boy and love him. I hope we don't have like a record hot summer this year. If we do it would be my luck.
I have not emailed you in a while....We are getting so close. I can't wait. So far the heat has not killed me to bad but I am living in doors. Your belly is so cute! I have to post pictures of mine soon. I don't think my belly is really big but I have gained weight all over. I was not one of those lucky women who just get a belly and have the baby and look great the next day I am sure I will have tons of working out to do. All worth it!
How are you feeling? I love feeling the baby move now everyday. I think people look at me funny because I will be sitting some where and he will start moving and I just start smiling like crazy. LOL
TTYL
charlybrown86 - Saturday, 14 June Thank you for the reply! it's def helped my conscience chill out
erica78 - Friday, 13 June Oops.. my bad.... July 13th.. not June! You're peeking at your registry... lol.. that is so totally something I would do too. I'll try not to, but I make no promises.
I'm all about having a baby girl.. that way me and the hubby will stop disagreeing over boy names. I told him that he can pick the boy name, but it needs to be something that I don't despise. So far, and I may have said this already, but.... he has picked out a name and he will not compromise at all and I hate it. He is already calling the baby Joseph Douglas (Joseph after his grandpa and Douglas after him) and that moron doesn't even know what the gender is. So, I'm going to have quite the battle on my hands if this little peanut ends up being a boy.
whatwillitbe - Wednesday, 11 June ew thats scary! i'm o pos so i guess i don't have to worry about that...well good luck with all that..shtos are horrible but especially if they are for scary reasons!
