~*August 15, 2008*~ I am just going to mass update here for everyone because I am honestly too tired and sore to do much more.
I went for my week 37 visit yesterday. While I was there I kept having contractions so they hooked me up to the monitors to see how many I was having and if it was bothering the baby. I had about 7 contractions during the 20 minute test so the doctor decided to send me down to labor and delivery to get monitored longer.
I got hooked up to the machines there and had all sorts of things done. Later that evening I got yet another fun exam from the on call doctor with no cervical change still. They decided to keep me over night to see if anything happened since I live so far away. I got hooked up to an IV for fluids in case it was due to dehydration. I got stuck about 5 times looking for veins, drawing blood for tests, etc.
My husband ended up spending the night with me. Thankfully my doctor was on call today, he checked me in the AM, still no change but lots of contractions. Every 2-4 minutes. He ended up deciding I'd be better off at home and to schedule an earlier appointment next week to see if anything has changed.
I am really tired, my arms hurt, my belly hurts from the monitors poking in to my stomach all night, I am miserable. I am still having contractions but they've gotten a LITTLE better. I am basically on semi bed rest until either my water breaks or the contractions get worse. Apparently my case is so different I can no longer call when contractions are "5 minutes apart" because mine are consistently 2 to 4 minutes apart. So, I have to call when either 1) my water breaks or 2) the contractions become really painful.
I came home, took a shower, and am now resting. I never got my hospital bag packed, only Abi's, so I will be doing that tomorrow. Her car seat is now in my car. My husband drove it up there just in case.
The only two positive things to come from all this is:
1)My doctor prescribed me Ambien to help me sleep, they gave me some last night and it was pretty awesome
2)My strep b test came back negative
Otherwise, I'm in Hell and Abi's driving the bus :P I kid.... but seriously... I cannot take much more of this. Last night was the scariest, weirdest, experience ever. I am now that much more horrified of the real thing.
~*August 9, 2008*~ Well, I am now in my 36th week of pregnancy and feeling the pain. I don't have much to say except everything is ready for baby and I have everything I need for my hospital bag, I just have to put it IN the bag, and the baby's bag as well. I hope this will all be over soon! I am looking forward to Fall and all the upcoming holidays, especially Halloween! We already have her costume. :)
Here is a photo of me for week 36, and yes... I am as tired as I look. :/
Me and the kitty Binkie
Not sure if this will be my last update before the delivery or not but I hope everyone else is doing well, whatever week you are in!
~*July 17, 2008*~ Today I am 33 weeks. I had my baby shower this past weekend, July 13th, and it was really nice. I wanted to update with some photos of Abigail's nursery and a few pictures from the shower!
The Nursery:
Baby Shower:
Me by the games and favors table
Her 3D autograph photo
Food!
My cute umbrella cake
Presents!
My hostess
My favorite present
~*June 28, 2008*~ Today we had our free week 30 ultrasound in 3D. She was so wiggly the entire time but we managed to get some good shots of her face rubbing, sleeping (at one point), and thumb sucking. We also got a B&W image of her foot up above her head/face, where it was one of the time! Gymnast! Her little cheeks and fingers have gotten chubbier. These are some of my favorites:
My little snuggly bunny
Hand up to her face
Hand covering her face, she had enough..
Her foot above her head!
Thumb sucking
Contemplating something!
Chubby fingers!
Night night
~*June 13, 2008*~ Well, happy Friday the 13th to me. I had my week 28 doctor visit. It was NOT fun. The glucose orange drink, which everyone said tasted like Sunkist, in fact did NOT. It was nasty. Even worse I had to chug it in 3 minutes. It was so early in the morning and so much sugar I almost got sick. I PRAY I do not have to do the 3 hour test. Then I had to have my finger pricked for my iron level check. For some reason it bled like crazy and still throbbed 2 hours later. After the drink processed and I filled out pre registration paperwork for the hospital, I had 2 vials of blood taken for the glucose test. My arm is so sore and bruised right now. Last but not least I had to have a shot for the Rh Negative issue. It hurt and burned... was right about my bum too. Awesome. The only plus to my visit is I am 3 pounds under weight. YES! I don't have to worry about a diet..... yet. Now I start seeing the doctor every 2 weeks. We're moving now. I thought I would do a comparison photo since I took a recent one today.
Week 28:
Week 12:
~*June 5, 2008*~ I am now in week 27 and we had our 3D ultrasound today. It was SO worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence. Even cooler, I got invited back in 3 weeks for free because she is training her friend to take over because she is also having a baby soon! So, I get a free 3D! It was the NICEST facility. So comfortable and beautifully set up and the girl was so super nice and she spent almost 40 minutes with us! We got a DVD of the entire session, pictures on CD, as well as 8 print outs. We got some neat 4D streaming shots of her smiling, waving, thumb sucking, and snuggling. She has the cutest nose and lips... she is perfect. We even got a 2D gender shot where you can clearly see the "hamburger"... girl all the way.
Here are two of my favorite shots, the rest can be found in my photos section.
Smiling!
Thumb sucker!
I am in love :)
~*April 24, 2008*~ Well, I had my week 21 doctor appointment today. It went great except I gained 10 pounds, UGH!... so.... to mark the occasion of everything going well and my lovely weight gain I decided to add week 21 belly photos! It could be worse, right??
~*April 22, 2008*~ Well, on Thursday I go for my week 21 check up. Hopefully I will get to hear her little heart beat again. In other news, her daddy made her the sweetest picture, I just wanted to share.
A daddy's girl already. :-)
~*April 15, 2008*~ These photos were taken from my 19 week ultrasound about a week ago. She had her little hand up to the side of her face most of the time as you will notice from my illustrations. :)
~*April 07, 2008*~ Well, I had my 18 week ultrasound today. Of course the tech seems to
think I am 19 weeks. I am NOT complaining there! My mom, husband, and
best friend went. The baby was so active. Had hand up to the face
almost the whole time, it was so cute... and perfectly healthy. Oh
and............
And I updated my baby names list, please re vote! :)
~*March 27,2008*~ Last night I had a dream we got the AFP test results back (baby abnormalities such as Down Syndrome, etc) and it was positive. I woke up so scared I went to check my cell phone. Sure enough, my nurse had called me with the results... they all came back... NEGATIVE! I feel so relieved!! Whew... just 11 more days until we try to find out the gender! :O
~*March 24, 2008*~ Today I had my 16 week doctor's appointment and for the first time we got to hear the baby's heart beat! It was indescribable. My eyes watered, I couldn't help it. 154 beats per minute, nice and strong. We also did the testing for down syndrome and other abnormalities. We will get the results for that on Friday.
Also, April 7th at 10am I have an ultrasound appointment where we will hopefully find out the gender! I am so excited... it is only two weeks away. I feel so relieved and happy.
About 5 minutes ago I felt VERY large movement. It startled me a LOT! It was one HUGE kick... I say huge because all I have felt the past few days are tiny little pulses. This felt like one HUGE pulse in my lower stomach. It scared me quite a lot! Not something I am used to feeling!!
~*March 22, 2008*~ I feel huge today...
~*March 19, 2008*~ I saw this in someone else's blog and thought it looked fun!

Well, I guess I woke the little baby up because for a brief few seconds I felt some flutters in my tummy... almost like butterflies flying around, and then it was gone! Aw.. :D
~*March 16, 2008*~ Hi
everyone! I am currently 15 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I hope to
schedule an ultrasound for my 18th week in hopes to find out the sex of
our baby! I have been married for only 6 months but have been with my
husband for almost 4 years. My pregnancy started out rocky but things
have been going good for the past two weeks. I will be relieved at my
next visit on March 24th when we can listen to the heartbeat!
cmmbear - Tuesday, 15 July Even with my registry people are still getting stuff from other stores that we don't need, it's just stuff they want to get. They're more or less just using our registry as something to go by which is exactly what they did with our wedding registry which was at JCPenny. For instance, lol, we had picked out these towels sets that we loved in a certain color, apparently the person that bought towels didn't like the ones that JcPenny had so she went to Macys because that's her favorite store and found some there that were sort of like them....uuuugggghhh. What is the point of doing a registry if no one is gonna go by it, so far my mom, brother, and one friend have gotten things off our registry.
cmmbear - Tuesday, 15 July I read your post about your baby shower. I'm so scared we won't get the things we really need because people are going baby crazy and just buying what they want. The stuff on our registry is stuff that we really do need and people don't get that. I went through the same thing though with people asking why I didn't register at Burlington...I registered at Walmart because they had all the stuff that I wanted and liked. I don't get people though. I'm sure I'll have LOTS of returns like you. I actually started buying some things myself off of the registry months ago.
devonp - Tuesday, 15 July You seemed to have a good time at your shower. My shower was really nice. People didn't take a lot of stuff of my registry but that was ok because I had like towels and wash rags and people got those things for me so I just deleted them off of my registry. My mom and sisters were the only ones who really got the stuff I had asked for. We had tons of fun games food and lots of laughs. I would hate to have to return so much stuff.
AidansMommy - Monday, 14 July Sorry about your Shower but BabiesRUs told me even if the things I get for my shower aren't from or If I don't know they will still take a look & see if they will return them.
devonp - Saturday, 12 July If it makes you feel any better my best friend for like 15 years is away this weekend and she is due back on sunday but doesn't think she will be home in time for my shower. Some best friend. I did her baby shower and footed most of the bill all she had to do was show up. She seems a little bothered by my pregnancy these days because her son was born at 26 weeks its like she hates me for having a normal pregnancy. Friends you gotta love them
cashe00 - Thursday, 10 July I hope you have a nice baby shower too! Yeah, I don't think many people are coming to mine, but I don't know. Like I said, you're so lucky you have things ready. I feel totally unprepared. It's hard b/c I work all the time and when I get home, I'm wiped out and have to do stuff for the step children...
devonp - Thursday, 10 July I know people will show up to your shower but its funny the things we dream about. Do you have cravings? This makes me crazy but I have not had one craving. Someone will say oh I had pizza for lunch yesterday and I will want pizza but no cravings yet its making me crazy.
owensmommabear - Thursday, 10 July Thanks!! He's quite a character! I will forsure let you know!!
owensmommabear - Wednesday, 9 July Thanks a bunch for the info!!! I suppose we'll see tomorrow! Best of luck on the rest of your pregnancy and the birth of your baby!!
cashe00 - Wednesday, 9 July I'm having my baby shower this weekend too! It's Saturday @ 2. I'm stoked! We haven't even started Hayden's room yet, and I'm feeling so bad about it. You're lucky Abigail's room is done already. I wish mine was!
devonp - Tuesday, 8 July Wow very well said. It really is sad. I always find myself feeling sorry for people like that. My boyfriend gets mad because sometimes I make friends with some really odd people. Not like really good friends but I always listen to their problems and stuff.
It is really hot today! I am staying in doors with the internet and a book.
Yes my shower is this weekend. My sisters have planned it for me so thats nice. my family is pretty small so I guess I am having about 20 people at my shower. I only asked three of my close girlfriends to come. I hate when people invite you to things and you have not really talked to them in years. So I only picked a handful of friends I still keep in touch with and see. Plus I am guessing Bill's family will have one as well.
I hope you have fun at your shower as well. I can't wait to see all the cute stuff.
devonp - Tuesday, 8 July It is sad about the girl and being fake. It makes me wonder why she did it. I don't know maybe she lost a baby or something crazy like that. But whatever the case it is sick.
How are you feeling these days? I am doing good I just wish I could sleep a little better.
erica78 - Monday, 7 July LOL... yes they did work... so thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm pretty sure she will be Isabella.... my husband doesn't like the middle name I picked (Jade).. so that part might be open for negotiation. :-)
erica78 - Monday, 7 July So... yeah, like I said it's a girl! Which is sooooo sweet! According to the u/s tech she is VERY active! lol She had a hard time getting her measurements because she was such quite the mover... and she kept calling her a lil' stinker. HA! Oh yeah, and apparently she has HUGE FEET! lol. So much for having a dainty little dancer... she'll be a little ogre just like her mammoth father. HA!!
Now comes the daunting task of pulling together a nursery. It's so weird, but it's like I had so much more planned in my head already for a boy.. I would have been much more prepared if there had been some dangly parts down there instead of a Big Mac as the tech called it. lol
My family's thrilled... they all wanted me to have a girl because girl's rule in my family. As my mom put it.. the boys in our family don't stand a chance... they are totally out numbered!
She's been moving like crazy.... it's probably those big ol' feet thrashing about!!
You're almost there... soooo close to having that little beauty in your arms. Are you ready for it??
erica78 - Monday, 7 July Pink! Pink! Pink! It's a GIRL.... thank god!! I'm the happiest momma on the planet!! :-)
mumsie26 - Sunday, 6 July normally your midwife can tell if the baby is in the head down but i wouldn`t say you would be engaged yet tho, i had my midwife on friday and she was not sure of th eposition but i don`t worry too much as mine were mostly breech til near the end, but everyone is different and the baby could still move around at the stage depending on how much room he/she has, mine has loads
BobbiJoSargent - Sunday, 6 July Hey.. Last night I was feeling kicks super low too.. Like an inch or two BELOW where my underwear sit. My due date is Sept. 1st. I thought it was really strange, but I guess it's normal.
smurfmv - Friday, 4 July I worried about the same thing with my registry! I did get a lot more clothes but most of them are for when he is older. I was surprised to see that I did get most of the things I really needed and registered for even though a lot of them didnt say they had been purchased on my registry.
mumsie26 - Thursday, 3 July thats nice, its so nice to see it all come together,,your first too bless... you look very well in your pics i must say.. one you get the clothes washed, dryed andput away adn the room is done you fele a littel more excited..well i normally do,,i am getting more clothes this week , mostly sleepsuits and vests, stereliser etc,, not lots to get,,oh and my baby smellies, not forgetting brest pads etc for me..need those...smile
mumsie26 - Thursday, 3 July how sweet your babies room sounds lovely. hope all goes well for you and in a way your lucky you had the hubby that cares enough..i got my hubby to do our cot last time , spent a lot adn its still immaculate so using htat one after baby out of moses basket.. its so nice when the room looks ready..good luck..
