~*Halloween 2008 and her first word!*~
She was a kitty for Halloween!

2 days after Halloween on November 2, 2008 she said "mama"... as clear as day. I don't know if it was an accident but I've been saying mama to her for weeks now and it makes her smile and giggle. On November 2nd I put her down to get a bottle and she started to get upset and I heard "MAMA" very loud and clear. I almost cried!
Here is a video of my husband trying to get her to say mama again, it didn't work but she found it awfully amusing. :-)

And here are two videos of her smiling and talking to her new play gym!

Well, in less than 2 weeks on October 21st, Abigail will be 2 months old. Just the other day I got her first smile on camera! It was the peek-a-boo game that got her. :D

Miss Abigail is now two weeks old and I wanted to share a few new photos of her!

Happy one week old Abigail!

Well, Abigail is adjusting well to being at home. She had her first appointment today with her pediatrician and they said she is doing exceptionally well for being early. This makes us very happy. She is eating like Miss Piggy and getting a little more personality each day. Here are some homecoming pictures I thought I would share.

I told her she'd be much more comfy outside the womb!

Well, on August 21, 2008 my baby girl Abigail was born at 12:06pm via emergency c-section and she weighed 6lb 14oz and 19 inches long at the time of birth. You can read the full birth story on my page, under the children link. But for now, a couple of pictures. I am still in the hospital but hopefully we are going home tomorrow. I wish everyone happy and healthy pregnancies and deliveries! Hopefully you won't have to go through what I did but luckily we had a good outcome.

I am just going to mass update here for everyone because I am honestly too tired and sore to do much more.
I went for my week 37 visit yesterday. While I was there I kept having contractions so they hooked me up to the monitors to see how many I was having and if it was bothering the baby. I had about 7 contractions during the 20 minute test so the doctor decided to send me down to labor and delivery to get monitored longer.
I got hooked up to the machines there and had all sorts of things done. Later that evening I got yet another fun exam from the on call doctor with no cervical change still. They decided to keep me over night to see if anything happened since I live so far away. I got hooked up to an IV for fluids in case it was due to dehydration. I got stuck about 5 times looking for veins, drawing blood for tests, etc.
My husband ended up spending the night with me. Thankfully my doctor was on call today, he checked me in the AM, still no change but lots of contractions. Every 2-4 minutes. He ended up deciding I'd be better off at home and to schedule an earlier appointment next week to see if anything has changed.
I am really tired, my arms hurt, my belly hurts from the monitors poking in to my stomach all night, I am miserable. I am still having contractions but they've gotten a LITTLE better. I am basically on semi bed rest until either my water breaks or the contractions get worse. Apparently my case is so different I can no longer call when contractions are "5 minutes apart" because mine are consistently 2 to 4 minutes apart. So, I have to call when either 1) my water breaks or 2) the contractions become really painful.
I came home, took a shower, and am now resting. I never got my hospital bag packed, only Abi's, so I will be doing that tomorrow. Her car seat is now in my car. My husband drove it up there just in case.
The only two positive things to come from all this is:
1)My doctor prescribed me Ambien to help me sleep, they gave me some last night and it was pretty awesome
2)My strep b test came back negative
Otherwise, I'm in Hell and Abi's driving the bus :P I kid.... but seriously... I cannot take much more of this. Last night was the scariest, weirdest, experience ever. I am now that much more horrified of the real thing.
~*August 9, 2008*~
Well, I am now in my 36th week of pregnancy and feeling the pain. I don't have much to say except everything is ready for baby and I have everything I need for my hospital bag, I just have to put it IN the bag, and the baby's bag as well. I hope this will all be over soon! I am looking forward to Fall and all the upcoming holidays, especially Halloween! We already have her costume. :)
Here is a photo of me for week 36, and yes... I am as tired as I look. :/

Not sure if this will be my last update before the delivery or not but I hope everyone else is doing well, whatever week you are in!

Today I am 33 weeks. I had my baby shower this past weekend, July 13th, and it was really nice. I wanted to update with some photos of Abigail's nursery and a few pictures from the shower!

Today we had our free week 30 ultrasound in 3D. She was so wiggly the entire time but we managed to get some good shots of her face rubbing, sleeping (at one point), and thumb sucking. We also got a B&W image of her foot up above her head/face, where it was one of the time! Gymnast! Her little cheeks and fingers have gotten chubbier. These are some of my favorites:

Well, happy Friday the 13th to me. I had my week 28 doctor visit. It was NOT fun. The glucose
orange drink, which everyone said tasted like Sunkist, in fact did NOT. It was nasty. Even worse
I had to chug it in 3 minutes. It was so early in the morning and so much sugar I almost got sick.
I PRAY I do not have to do the 3 hour test. Then I had to have my finger pricked for my iron level
check. For some reason it bled like crazy and still throbbed 2 hours later. After the drink processed
and I filled out pre registration paperwork for the hospital, I had 2 vials of blood taken for the glucose
test. My arm is so sore and bruised right now. Last but not least I had to have a shot for the
Rh Negative issue. It hurt and burned... was right about my bum too. Awesome. The
only plus to my visit is I am 3 pounds under weight. YES! I don't have to worry about
a diet..... yet. Now I start seeing the doctor every 2 weeks. We're moving now. I thought
I would do a comparison photo since I took a recent one today.

I am now in week 27 and we had our 3D ultrasound today. It was SO worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence. Even cooler, I got invited back in 3 weeks for free because she is training her friend to take over because she is also having a baby soon! So, I get a free 3D! It was the NICEST facility. So comfortable and beautifully set up and the girl was so super nice and she spent almost 40 minutes with us! We got a DVD of the entire session, pictures on CD, as well as 8 print outs. We got some neat 4D streaming shots of her smiling, waving, thumb sucking, and snuggling. She has the cutest nose and lips... she is perfect. We even got a 2D gender shot where you can clearly see the "hamburger"... girl all the way.
Here are two of my favorite shots, the rest can be found in my photos section.
Smiling!

Thumb sucker!

I am in love :)

Well, I had my week 21 doctor appointment today. It went great except I gained 10 pounds, UGH!... so.... to mark the occasion of everything going well and my lovely weight gain I decided to add week 21 belly photos! It could be worse, right??

~*April 22, 2008*~
Well, on Thursday I go for my week 21 check up. Hopefully I will get to hear her little heart beat again. In other news, her daddy made her the sweetest picture, I just wanted to share.

A daddy's girl already. :-)
~*April 15, 2008*~
These photos were taken from my 19 week ultrasound about a week ago. She had her little hand up to the side of her face most of the time as you will notice from my illustrations. :)

~*April 07, 2008*~
Well, I had my 18 week ultrasound today. Of course the tech seems to
think I am 19 weeks. I am NOT complaining there! My mom, husband, and
best friend went. The baby was so active. Had hand up to the face
almost the whole time, it was so cute... and perfectly healthy. Oh
and............

And I updated my baby names list, please re vote! :)

~*March 27,2008*~
Last night I had a dream we got the AFP test results back (baby abnormalities such as Down Syndrome, etc) and it was positive. I woke up so scared I went to check my cell phone. Sure enough, my nurse had called me with the results... they all came back... NEGATIVE! I feel so relieved!! Whew... just 11 more days until we try to find out the gender! :O
~*March 24, 2008*~
Today I had my 16 week doctor's appointment and for the first time we got to hear the baby's heart beat! It was indescribable. My eyes watered, I couldn't help it. 154 beats per minute, nice and strong. We also did the testing for down syndrome and other abnormalities. We will get the results for that on Friday.
Also, April 7th at 10am I have an ultrasound appointment where we will hopefully find out the gender! I am so excited... it is only two weeks away. I feel so relieved and happy.
About 5 minutes ago I felt VERY large movement. It startled me a LOT! It was one HUGE kick... I say huge because all I have felt the past few days are tiny little pulses. This felt like one HUGE pulse in my lower stomach. It scared me quite a lot! Not something I am used to feeling!!
~*March 22, 2008*~
I feel huge today...

Happy St. Patrick's Day! My baby did a little Irish dance for me this morning!! I woke up, sat up for a minute... decided I was still tired so I laid back down on my left side. Well, I guess I woke the little baby up because for a brief few seconds I felt some flutters in my tummy... almost like butterflies flying around, and then it was gone! Aw.. :D

Hi
everyone! I am currently 15 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I hope to
schedule an ultrasound for my 18th week in hopes to find out the sex of
our baby! I have been married for only 6 months but have been with my
husband for almost 4 years. My pregnancy started out rocky but things
have been going good for the past two weeks. I will be relieved at my
next visit on March 24th when we can listen to the heartbeat!
Here is what I look like at 15 weeks:

Thanks for looking and congrats to all the moms!
