Induction set for 1am tomorrow morning...yippee

Hello All.....Todd and I are very excited. I'm going to be 5 weeks tomorrow. I know we still have a long way to go but we're hoping for the best. I have two daughters from a previous marriage. My girls are 11 and 12 years old so it's been a while since I've done this. So far I feel great....but I know a lot of changes are coming my way.

Things are not looking good for us right now. My HCG levels did not go up the way my doctor was hoping. I have to go back on Friday to retest and if they still are not where they need to be then they will take the pregnancy. I'm still trying to hold it together but it's hard. I'm looking at it this way....if something happens then things were just not right and hopefully next time things will go just fine. We'll just have to try again.

I just returned from the doctors. The fetus was in one of my tubes so they started the process. I received two shots in the butt and have to go for a follow-up on Wednesday.We should be able to start again in a couple months. I can't wait.Good luck to all of you!

I couldn't stand any longer so I tested this morning. At first I thought I wasn't pregnant because it felt like it took forever for me to see a faint line but it was there! I'm going to retest in a couple days.

August 12, 2007

There's no denying......I'm pregnant! Yippee! Tested again this morning and the extra line appeared instantly! We're not telling the family(so Anita if your reading this please don't tell, call me and we'll talk) until we make sure this is a good pregnancy. I'm scared and happy all at the same time! I'll keep you all posted.....more to come.

August 15, 2007 - Went for my blood work today. Numbers look good so far.....

I go back a week from today for another test to make sure the levels are going up. :)

August 22, 2007 - my blood work came back......

5 weeks/1 day - 4466

Doctor said I'm right where I need to be! We have an appointment next Wednesday for an ultasound! I can't wait.....I just want to make sure everything else is okay. :) I guess I'll be this way until I deliver!

I'm a little scared....when I went to bed last night I had a little pinkish color when I wiped. It was only once and it hasn't happened since. But none the less I'm still a nervous wreck about it. I'm going to call the doctor first thing Monday morning but if it happens again before hand I'll go to the hospital. :(

Everything went wonderful at the doctors today. We got to see our little pea pod and see the heartbeat! It was awesome...heartbeat is 156 bpm and is measuring right on schedule. We don't go back until the end of September. So far so good......we're so excited! Now hopefully I can breath some sort of relief for awhile. Oh also my due date changed by one day earlier.....April 21

Oct 11, 2007 - We had our genetic testing today. It was awesome. I got to see our little pea pod moving about. We were told everything looks great. I have to go for my second round of blood test on Nov 2 and then from there they schedule our second ultrasound. We were told that they are pretty sure it's a BOY! Yippee but we'll know for sure on our second scan. I've attached a picture so you all can be the judge!

10-25-07 - Went for my dr visit today. Everything looks great. His little heart was beating right along at 154 bpm.

11-06-07 - I went for my second blood draw last Friday and they called me back this morning with my test results......test came back NEGATIVE !!!!! Yippee......one less worry. We go for our second ultrasound on Nov 26 and will confirm it's a boy then.....:)

11-21-07 - I had my regular doctors appointment this morning and everything is wonderful. I got to hear the little mans hearbeat just a pounding away! It was awesome. I only gained another pound, I guess all this water I drink is helping me keep my weight down. I tried to get her to give me another ultrasound but no look so I guess I have to wait until Monday morning when I go to the specialist. No biggie.....I can wait! I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

11-26-07 - Had another doctors appointment today. It went awesome! It's been confirmed IT'S A BOY! Gavin Michael it is.....we're so excited. He weighed in at 10 ounces and his BPM are 146. He's measuring perfectly for 19 weeks. We also got our test results back from 12 weeks and 3 days and the numbers came back awesome!

12-21-07 - Had my monthly checkup this morning. Everything looks great ....my little man was just galloping away in there. I only gained a pound this month! Yippee!!! That's a total of 9 pounds so far. Hopefully it's stays low the rest of the pregnancy so it will be easier to get it (and other pounds before the pregnancy) off once Gavin has arrived! Hope everyones has a great holiday.

01-23-08 - I had another check up yesterday and everything is looking great. I had my sugar test and get the results back on Thursday. I've gained only 1 more pound to bring my total to 10 pounds. From this point on I'll probably be gaining alot more since this is the time when Gavin starts to pack on the pounds. She also said she's going to do an ultrasound between 34 to 37 weeks and will induce me at 38 to 39 weeks if I haven't delivered by then. My dr appointments have changed too....now I start going every 2 weeks instead of every 4. Also we got started getting the bigger items for Gavin. My parents got us the stroller/infant seat(carrier) and we bought his crib this past weekend. We set up everything in the crib....it's so cute and we're all very excited. My best friend is planning my baby shower for Feb 16...I can't wait. We're having a co-ed shower since this is my husbands first child and he's so excited. It should be alot of fun.

01-24-08 - I just got the call from the dr's office. They said my sugar test came back borderline so they want me to coma in tomorrow morning for the 3 hour test. I'm so not looking forward to sitting there for 3 hours but I have to do what I have to do. Wish me luck! :)

01-25-08 - OK....so I went for my 3 hour test. It wasn't that bad, after about an hour and a half sitting there my husband showed up to keep me company. He's such a team player....I just love him. So I asked what my numbers were the first time and was told they should have been 140 or below and mine was 143! So that's why they wanted to do the 3 hour test. I should have the results either Monday or Tuesday.....hopefully everything will be fine. I let you know once I get the call.

02-06-08- Went today for my routine dr's appointment. Everything went well. Gavin is measuring perfectly and his heartbeat was great. I go back in 2 weeks. I'm thinking about going tonight or sometime this week for the 3d/4d ultrasound. I just want to see my little man. It's killing me....oh and they gave me my glucose results...I passed!

OK......so I couldn't wait. My husband, my girls, and I went for the 3d/4d ultrasound. It was awesome!!!! At first Gavin was sleeping so I had to eat M&M's and a coke to get him up and moving but once we did that he was boxing and such. It was amazing to watch. I received 4 pictures and a CD so hopefully I'll be able to post some new pics tomorrow. Also.....there's no mistaken he's a boy! You'll see once I post the pics. Anyone that's thinking about doing this ultrasound.....I would highly recommend it! The girls were so happy! The tech gave me an estimated weight of 3lbs 12 oz and a due date of April 3....I can't wait until I go in 4 weeks for my ultrasound from the doctor and see how he measures then. This could get interesting..... :)

02/16/08 - Well today was my BABY SHOWER....wow....can I tell you how awesome of a time we had! It was a blast.....friends and family everywhere. It started at 11am and the last people to leave left at 6pm. We're soooo tired! I'll post pictures on Tuesday. Sorry it will be a while but hubby and I are heading over to Ft Myers for two days. Monday is are anniversary and the girls are out of school for Presidents Day so...they stayed at my parents house tonight and we'll pick them up on our way home Monday night. Have a great couple days ladies. :)

02-20-08 - Went for another check up today and everything is looking good. I've gained 3 pounds in the last two weeks which makes my total 15 pounds so far. As long as I stay 20 or under I'll be happy. I have an ultrasound scheduled for March 13 which at that time my dr will decide when we should induce. I can't wait......I want to know when I'll finally meet my little man. We love him so much already...I can't wait to hold him.

3-4-08 - Well I'm not a happy camper today. All weekend I had a toothache and by Sunday night my gum was starting to swell around it. I went to the dentist yesterday and he sent me to a oral surgeon ......needless to say today I'm having the tooth pulled. I could of had a root canal since the tooth is still a good tooth but since it's one of my back molars and just opted for the much cheaper option.....pull it. I'm sure I'll be regreting that for the next couple of days while I'm in pain. Tomorrow I go to for my 33 week check up and my ultrasound is set for next week. I'll update more when this is all over and done with!

UPDATE: I'm all better....alittle pain but nothing worse then the toothache pain itself. I'm glad that's over with! :)

03-04-08- Everything went well at the dr's today. She said we're going to schedule my induction around the 38th week but next week is my ultrasound so if he looks like he's going to be too big then she'll induce even earlier. I won't find that out until the week after my ultrasound at my 35th week checkup.

03-13-08 - So today was our ultrasound. It was awesome. Everything measured great....he's measuring at 35 weeks so only a week ahead. He weighs appro. 5lbs 14 oz. She said he had long hair (which is what his father had at birth). After talking to the nurses and tech they think my dr. will bump up my induction a week but I'll know for sure on Tuesday after my visit with the dr....can't wait. I'll keep you all posted.

3-18-08- Dr.'s appointment today went very well. I've dilated 1 to 2 cm....she hasn't changed my induction date yet because medically something has to be wrong to induce before 39 weeks so she said when I go in for my appointment on the 38th week she might find a reason for me to have to go straight in but she also said that she feels I'll be going on my own before that. I sure hope so .....I'm very ready. I guess the pains I've been having in my back and hips the past two days were for a reason.....if that's the case....bring on the pain so we can have Gavin in our arms. :) I can't wait to meet my little man.....god, I'm in love!

03-27-08 - I had my 36 week check up today and NO change. I'm still 1 to 2cm dilated. On the flip side though my dr thinks that when labor starts it will go fast and she thinks I won't make it to April 16. She's on vacation next week so I'm sure it will be my luck that I will go into labor and have to have one of the other dr's deliver Gavin. I go back on Wednesday so we shall see what happens then if nothing has happened yet! Also my strep B test came back NEGATIVE!

04-02-08 - I had my 37 week check up today and good news....I'm making progress! I'm 2 to 3cm and 70% efaced. I started having contractions last night but nothing major. Today after the dr I started contracting again so hopefully things will start moving right along. I also have a brownish discharge...not sure if it's my mucus plug or just spotting from my exam(which has never happened before) My dr also stated that she thinks I'll be going before my next appointment which is set for next Thursday.

04-10-08 - ok.....so we went for our 38 week check up today and NO changes at all.....all these pains I'm having and nothing changed. She did however rupture my membranes hoping that will through me into labor tonight or tomorrow. I'm hoping it does because she's the dr on call tomorrow and through out the weekend. But if not then I'm scheduled for my induction on Wednesday!
