Hi, I am Australian so I'm not sure, but over here men are entitled to Paternity leave - when they have a baby they get some time off. You need to check out what the laws over there are and what he is entitled to, there must be something - get on the net and see what you can find out. There may be laws accross the board for your state or country, or else within your husbands job. Maybe you should contact your husbands human resources department and ask for the companies policy on this issue. Also, not sure on your beliefs but you could try praying about this, I am a Christian and I find it can help a lot. Let me know how you go. God Bless!

sorry to hear about the trouble with your hubbies work. thats just not right. I wish the states would seriously look at thier non existent parental wellness rights! geeze! do you have family close? maybe you might have to find someone else that you feel close to enough to have help you in the delivery room or maybe even a doula? hmmm...sorry hun, wish I could be an actual help to you...good luck!

Unfortunately his boss can do this UNLESS.. he has worked at this same company for the past 12 months, and the company employs 50+ employees for at least 20 weeks out of the year. If he has worked one year there and the company does meet these standards, then by law under FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) he is allowed to take off 12 weeks during any calendar year without loosing any benefits, or position at work. Here is a link to the information: http://www.dol.gov/esa/regs/statutes/whd/fmla.htm Good luck, and also try checking the employee manual if he was given one. Sometimes bosses forget about a company policy.

Preeclampsia is when you have protien in your urine and your blood pressure is high and stays high. It isn't good for your or the baby so if you have it, they will put you on strict bedrest. I must say though, I have never heard of anyone with preeclampsia going past their due date as they are usually induced or taken for a c-section before the blood pressure affects them and the baby. It is fairly common to get later in pregnancy. My niece just had a baby in January and her due date was the end of March. They put her on bedrest and she didn't listen so they put her in the hospital. Hopefully you don't have it though...I can't imagine bedrest being any fun...well after the first day or so! Good luck!

I hope you dont have preeclampsia its when your blood pressure is high it can be very dangerous on you more then the baby and a lot of babies are born early when the mother has preeclampsia by C section. Also the pains shooting pain through your vagina I get these all the time they are horrible. I talked to my doctor about it. She said it was the baby hitting, kicking or pushing down and nothing to worry about.

List for the hospital

I think it's a heat rash... but not sure! Had doc check it out yesterday and he wasn't sure what it was but wasn't concerned since it wasn't PUPPP. He told me to just use Cortizone cream and it should go away. I haven't done that but at least I'm not as worried about it now. Thanks for the input!:)

I am glad you were able to find a crib! Your pic is really cute too!!!!! I am sure you will agree that having the 3D ultrasound done was one of the neatest experiences ever! A friend of mine whose daughter is now 2 had one done while she is pregnant, and her daughters lips were giant! She could not figure it out either, because her and her husband don't have big lips, but when the baby was born, her lips were tiny just like the rest of her. I think some of the angels make the features look different. Either way, your little baby is adorable!

We picked out the crib we liked and searched for it on ebay and even with shipping ended up saving $50.

Target has some really cute baby cribs. They only carry a few in the store and I am not sure if any are black, but here is a link to the black ones that they sell online. http://www.target.com/b/ref=sc_iw_r_2_0/601-6491623-2408108?node=14086421 I have a lot of furniture from Target, and it is really good quality, especially for the price. Babies R Us also has a lot of really cute cribs. Some of the furniture is a little more expensive than Target, but still not too bad. http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?categoryId=2256274&f=PAD%2FFurniture+Finish%2FBlack&fbc=1&fbn=Furniture+Finish%7CBlack Good Luck!
