TUESDAY, APRIL 29th

Ok, here is an update...I don't do this much:
I had some issues earlier in my pregnancy. Well, maybe not issues but I was at high rish for having a DS baby. My husband and I opted for the amnio and then we had to wait for 3+ weeks. When I finally had my appointment with the doctor, we found out that the baby was fine. We also found out that we were having a girl instead of a boy. I was so exited, my husband was in shock. Now I will have a boy and a girl. Anywho. We also finally decided on a name: Mackenzie Rene... My husbands mother's name is Rene, so she was pumped to find out we were naming the baby after her. That's it for now.

______________________________________________________________________

Hello! My name is Lacy and I live South of San Antonio in the wonderful state of Texas. I love living in Texas and would not want to be anywhere else. I have been married for almost 6 years (June) to a wonderful husband. We have one child, Brandon, who turned four this past November. He was a whopping 11 lbs. 30 oz. when I had him...yes they finally did a cesarean...after trying to make me have him for a whole day. He means the world to me and I love watching him learn and grow. Kids will change your life FOR THE BETTER! Sure they make your expenses go through the roof but is sure is worth it. I want to give my children everything they need to be successful in life. I want them to know the value of a dollar and work hard to earn it. I want them to know they can do anything in this world if they work hard enough.

I was working in San Antonio as a Marketing Coordinator for a commercial real estate company until October of 2007. I quit to work at the daycare that my son attends so that I could be closer to him. My life has changed so much since then. I am going to school online and was getting my degree in business and marketing but have changed it to elementary education. I love working with kids so much! I have my own room right now and take care of children 18 - 24 months of age. It is very challenging but so rewarding.

Thats is it for now!

I know exactly what you mean about "expenses", as if they aren't enough w/o being pregnant!!! Right now I'm going to like 3 different doctors--an ob, a cardiologist, and a dentist! I can't afford to go back to the chiro this time, so I'm glad that for whatever reason, my sciatic nerve hasn't hurt me too bad since the beggining of the pregnancy. I was seeing her, but then all the gas money spent going to see her along w/ all the copays to her and all the other docs added up to be too much to continue! So I totally know whatcha mean. Babies are expensive--and so are their doctors! Maybe you can do some stretches that will get the baby off your nerve, I have to do that from time to time and sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't..but it's free! :) Good luck!

Ask your ob to refer you to a good chiropractor. My 2nd pregnancy I had sciaticia something awful! And I had a 17 month old at the time to take care of and I could barely walk w/o pain! I had never been to a chiro. before and actually was scared to go, but was willing to try ANYTHING for the pain b/c I couldn't keep taking pain pills for it so she referred me to one that had a lot of experience w/ pregnant women and I loved her! I was sore for like the first 2 weeks, but she TOTALLY took care of the sciatiac nerve pain! So, if you haven't already, you should try it, honestly, it's safe, it's natural medicine and when you're dying in pain--it's worth it!! :) Good luck!

Thanks,
I think I'll try it, as I too have sciatica and hip pain due to scoliosis. The extra weight is causing quite a bit of pain.

Why are you doing acupuncture? What ailments are you trying to relieve?

I know you probably have tried everything for your leg cramps but just incase you haven't I would suggest drinking a Gatoraid. A lot of times you will get leg cramps if your electrolights get low. The Gatoraid will replace your electrolights fast causing the cramping to go away.

WOW! 11 pounds? Did you deliver on time or were you late?

Hello. I am really bored at work, so reading ahed to your week (I am from 25). I thought a tip my chiro gave me about getting off couch / out of bed might help... he says:
1. Swing your legs over the side of couch / bed to the floor
2. Use your arms to push yourself up into sitting position
Not sure if the way I wrote it makes sense, but his concern was that when I used my back and abs to sit up from chiro table, it leads to major back pain. I hope your pregnancy is going well, best wishes!!

The hardest for me is getting out of bed. It KILLS me. My belly is getting so big...I don't know what I'm gonna do until August!!!

hey there lacy...I was just checking out your pics expecting to see some disturbing images...lol....hey you look totally great....and your son is a real cutie....I had 2 big babies and before I got preggo my tummy was my best feature...real smooth and toned....now it is like a burst balloon and will never ever look good again...I know how depressing that can feel at times...try not to let it get on top of you, just think of it as being a little souvenir of being pregnant which has in turn brought you your children....it's not such a high price to pay....hey I still wear a bikini...who cares...my hubby loves me and my kids love me...and that is all that matters....my boys tell me my tummy looks all 'rusty'.....lol....I hope you cheer up soon...and remember you are not alone feeling crap about it!!!. xxxx

I just read your post on our page. Don't you just love the pity parties we put ourselves through? My older sister had her babies young like you and both were big and she is small... the result is her tummy does look like it survived a fire. When my niece was 3 my sis got on a program lost the weight from both babies and more. She no longer wears a bikini but looks fantastic in a tankini. I know how hard it is to look at ourselves now knowing how we once looked... and that we may never be there again, but trust that we can get close - without paying a plastic surgeon. I must take 15 belly shots before I find one where my face doesn't look as big as the moon LOL! I hope your mood is better today. I'd tell you not to stress or get upset but I know as well as you that's pointless! Just letting you know I hear ya and am sorry it's getting you so down.

Take care!

Hi I just read your latest posting. We are in similiar situations! I am a working artist/ painter trying to get my work into philly galleries, but I too am slacking due to exhaustion from pregnancy! Don't worry.....you will finish your teacher cert eventually. They will ALWAYS need teachers! (I'm certified K~12 art ed and can't find any openings at the moment...) The important thing is to rest up and enjoy your son. Don't worry, we'll be back to feeling normal again soon. Best of luck

Hey there, don't feel like a failure you have alot going on while being pregnant. After you have the baby and get to use to the new addition you can always go back to school!!!

deijahvu143 - Thursday, 8 May
Oh, btw, my son is great, Thanks for asking! He's such a good baby. Thank God! Actually, I can't complain about any of them, they are pretty good kids. Then again, when they are your own, you can handle it way better :oP

deijahvu143 - Thursday, 8 May
Hey! I just read you live near San Antonio, my cousin just moved there with her hubby and their daughter. They love it there. They are actually trying to convince me to move out there as well. LOL!

deijahvu143 - Thursday, 8 May
LMAO! I know how you feel gurl! Don't apologize. If it helps, I think you made the right decision. The less stress the better. Trust me, I had to stop working with my last pregnancy when I was 33 weeks. I got hospitalized 3 times and stayed 2 nights. The stress was too much mentally and physically and it started effecting my unborn. I was going into false labor, and my poor lil guys heart rate was all over the place, due to the stress. It was tough juggling a full time job, 2 kids, and hubby. I dunno how you lasted as long as you did! LOL! SuperWoman! Think of it this way, it not only benefits you, but the baby as well. Rest up hun, you are so gonna need it later :oP Trust me :o)
