My husband and I are so excited to be expecting our first child! It came as a surprise to us at first, but after we got over the initial shock, we could hardly contain ourselves! I can't wait to be a mommy!
We agreed not to find out if it is a boy or girl. We think this is one of the best surprises in life!

2.2 hours ago I would go for it and earn the extra cash. Especially if its only 3 hours! I would just have a backup plan incase you go into labor at school! becky468 -
18.4 hours ago Thanks for making me feel better. Hes actually been pretty active since this afternoon. He does take days off and its very nerve wracking and scary when they do that. Already scaring mommy. lol Number2intheOven -
22.9 hours ago I would say go for it. If you worked in a more physically demanding job, then I'd probably say no. I had my son in Sept and it was over 100 degrees outside. I was out mowing the lawn and stuff 8 months pregnant. I worked until the day I had the baby. You will probably be more uncomfortable but you'll be uncomfortable at home too lol. The days are short, so you can take it easy the rest of the time. It'd also help time fly! mochamum -
24 hours ago Hey ladybug!
I say go for it! We just bought a house and will have it on Jun 30 and we are making renovations on it + I plan on working til July 15thpeople are tellin me I'm crazy but as long as I know I can handle it, it's all good, if it's good $$$ without breaking ur back, I say you go gurl!!! fisheagle74 -
25.1 hours ago I am a teacher also. With my last pg I work up until the data of delivary. I would do it again (except for it being summer). It kept me moving/active. I WOULD recommend it ... but thats me. 1st-timer -
25.1 hours ago From a fellow teacher's prospective~ I say don't teach summer school and relax and enjoy the last weeks before the arrival of your baby. My last day of school is June 12th and I plan on sitting at home in the air conditioned house! Also, who knows you might go into labor early!! Keep that in mind. We teachers work too darn hard throughout the school year and deserve the well rest, besides you have next year to do it!! Of course I am saying all this and I don't know you and your financial status, but knowing your career, you deserve a break before the baby arrives!! Good Luck. MommaD -
25.3 hours ago I'd work this summer if I were you. 3 hours is nothing. I'm planning to work 8 hr days until my is born. I want to save all my time off so I can spend 3 months at home after she's born. So, Im going to tough it out while Im pregnant. babybarbados -
25.4 hours ago regarding the summer school thing...
The only question I would ask you is what would happen if you don't make it to your due date? Someone would take over the class? If you go into labor at school you need to have a plan too. I think if you can satisfy these answers to yourself then I think you should do it. If you need the money this is a last chance. Sure a couple of hours a day will be a little rougher than at home, but it will help pass the time and will give you the $ you need. As long is the school is willing to acept the risk that you might not make it through I say go for it. I am going to try to work as long as possible (full time!) this summer (due aug 7). I don't necessarily want to, but I will be losing money after she arrives so i best suck it up before she come the best i can! carolynjh -
26.6 hours ago Hey there, I say if you need the money, than go for it. It will really help pass the time until the baby comes. With my first I worked every day until she was born, not the plan, but that was the way it happened. Just keep your feet up when you can and you should be fine :) faithmarie -
Wednesday, 14 May Thanks for the note - I am trying to up my water intake. Still holding out on the stockings, though I have heard they are helpful. I am really beginning to struggle with shoes! I usually wear a 9 1/2 or 10 and today I picked up some sale flip flops in 11... Ugh. :) medina08 -

But as for me im too impatient to wait and find out what im having, i had to know. lol.

Friday, 2 May I'm glad your doing well! I understand the tired part...My lil guy keeps me busy during the day.
We did find out with our 1st.. and my husband wanted it to be a surprise and I said NO! lol So we agreed that our second would be a surprise.
I think we are having another boy..But thats just me...i've have several dreams that we've had a boy as well..I kept all my sons clothes and stuff so we have those, but he was born in November and this baby will be July/August..so the seasons are a little off. My brother has 4 kids and they gave me all there girl clothes and there the right season! So I'm doing ok in the clothes department..lol
Well take care and hope to talk to you soon! ColtensMom2006 -
Wednesday, 30 April Congrats on your pregnancy!! My husband and I decided as well to keep the gender a surprise. I'm so anxious to have this baby so I know what it is!! How are you feeling? jekajoy -
Friday, 25 April Hey there, they are testing me for Grave's disease since my TSH is dropping and my T3 is climbing. I find out on Wednesday what my most recent labs were. They say there is a small chance that it is pregnancy induced, but most likely, I'll have to have my thyroid removed and be on synthroid since being hypothyroid is safer than hyper. Does that sound about right? I have heard of Hashimotos (sp?) is it the opposite of Graves? christydk -
Monday, 21 April Hey - I have found a summer solution for our swollen feet/ankles!!!! support knee highs that are toe-less! SOOOOOO unattractive I know, but at least we can wear wedges/peep tees/flip flops now!!! Go to Pebble UK, they send overseas too :)
I have also found a great massage therapist who massages the bridge of my feet, - special pressure points, this really reduces the swelling... for DAYS! They have to be a registered therapist, as there are places/zones on the feet that you cannot maaage when pregnant. Hope everything is going well with you!
Good luck! xx medina08 -
Saturday, 19 April oh no! no twins here! lol! but me and my husban both have twins in our family tho... so how did the week go for you tamian -
Friday, 18 April Thanks for the posting. I managed to down a big glass of water this morning, but now can't be more than 5 feet from the toilet. Oh well. Such is life. I think it is wonderful that you are not finding out whether it is boy or girl. I could barely make it my 12 week scan.
Have a great weekend. fisheagle74 -
Friday, 18 April Well, lots of people have responded about the choc. cravings and every one of us are having girls!!! Maybe you might be thinking pink!! noahsmom -
Friday, 18 April dont stress it, i traveled with my last pregnancy all the way to cancun mexico from las vegas where i live. thats about 7 hrs on a plane. its tiring but you can do it. ColtensMom2006 -
Thursday, 17 April I saw your question on 25 week site. I flew to Atlanta from Indianapolis at 32 weeks. Then drove back. Most doctors say its ok aslong as you haven't had any complications. They want you stop and stretch your legs and walk too. They just tell you that is you go into labor you will have to go to the nearest hospital. So don't stress and have a great Memorial Weekend! I to will be traveling 7 hours away that weekend! Leave a message for ladybug403 in the right column where it reads `Add comment`
