October 4 - today i had my first offical prenatal appointment! we did a full exam and he gave me lots of literature to read about being pregnant. i was hoping he would do a sonogram but he didnt see the need for one just yet. oh well...the longer we wait the more human it will look :)

October 9 - today i had a message from the doctors office about a sonogram training session they were having at the office and the wanted to know if i would be interested in having a FREE sonogram! i was like "duh!" they needed women that were still pretty early so they can look for neural defects. i just hope they dont find what they are looking for! i cant wait to see my baby again!

October 19 - today i had my free sonogram! the baby has grown so much already! they said everything looks normal but the baby does have a small hernia by the cord. my doctor assured me this was normal and it would fix itself in a few weeks. he does want to have another sonogram in a few weeks just to make sure. anybody else have this happen and everything turned out okay?

November 2 - today i had another sonogram...we could clearly see the hands and feet of our sweet pea! my baby going to be a stubborn one, it would not cooperate with the sono tech at all. i think its going to be camera shy...everytime we tried to get a profile pic it turned its back to us! it was the funniest thing. she said she would try and tell the sex of the baby but the baby had its feet crossed and covering up the area so no luck. oh well, maybe next time :)

November 19 - today i had an unscheduled doctors appointment. dont worry nothing to be afraid of. just a little rash on my belly. but the cool thing was i got to hear my baby's heart beat! it was totally awesome! jason didnt go because i told him they were just going to look at my belly and give me some medicine. he was disappointed he missed it. my next appointment is on the 29th and i dont have another sonogram scheduled yet. i hope everyone has a great thanksgiving!

November 27 - we had another routine doctors visit. Jason got to hear the heart beat for the first time...he wont admit it but i think he almost cried! doctor said everything looks good and we scheduled our sonogram to find out if its a boy or girl! i cant wait...we'll know on 12/7!

December 7 - its a boy!!! here is how it happened...we had our appointment at 1:30 (which killed me to wait!) we go back there and the sono tech begins the sonogram. at first i was like "skeletor baby!" all his bones are visible and it was pretty creepy looking! then she took some measurements of his head...which is big but so is jasons...then she started to look between the legs...here's the funny part...so she didnt see anything at first because of the angle she was at and the baby had his legs curled up so she said "it's a girl!" and even printed the picture...lol! cant wait to show his girlfriends!!! the she started to measure his legs and she pushed around enough to get him to straighten them out and she was like...hold on, i think i see something! OMG testicles! at first i was like "my daughter has testicles?" then she said sorry about that "its a boy!" i thought jason was going to explode! he wanted a little boy for obvious reasons...i was just as thrilled! so she printed us another picture that said "its a boy." we are so excited, cant wait to meet him and consider ourselves very blessed!!!

January 10 - had another doctors appointment today...everything looks good. we scheduled our 3D sonogram and cant wait! i hope he looks like me :)

February 7 - had another doctors appointment. i cant believe how fast its going! i'm already 26 weeks! he said everything looked good. Adam is actually in the breach position but he said he should flip. only two more weeks until my 3D sonogram!!

February 21 - 28 weeks: today we had our 3D sonogram and it went so well! we got to see him sucking his thumb and yawning. it was so amazing! he weighs 3 pounds already...what a chunky monkey! he is still in the breach position but she said there was still plenty of time and not to worry. she also said he has my nose :)

March 10 - 30 weeks: had another doctors appointment - it was scheduled for the 6th but we had to reschedule due to the crazy texas weather! we actually had snow! so far i've gained 25 pounds which the doctor hasnt said anything about. he said adam is still breach and if he doesnt flip in the next 6 weeks we may need to schedule a c-section!! UGH! he also moved my appointments to every two weeks! its getting so close!!

March 24 - 32 weeks: had another doctors appointment today. my sister went with me and got to hear Adam's heartbeat! i gained one pound giving me a total of 26 pounds so far. he said everything looks really good and he even thinks Adam finally made the big flip. lets just hope he stays that way!

April 7 - 34 weeks: today i had another routine check up. everything looks good. Adam's heartbeat is going strong and i measured perfectly. i only gained 2 pounds this time but that put me over the 200 mark. i've never been over 200 so looks like i have a lot of work to do after Adam is here!! next appointment is in two weeks!

April 21 - 36 weeks: today i had another doctors appointment. everything looks great and i'm still measuringing perfectly. had an exam and i'm not dilating yet...ugh! i guess he wont make it here early! well only 24 days to go :)

April 28 - 37 weeks: today i went to the doctor and i'm not dilating yet...ugh! i really hope he comes soon!

May 5 - 38 weeks: had another doctors appointment today and still not dilating!! i dont know when this kid is going to come out. he said we cant start talking inducement until i start dilating and wants to see me monday morning instead of afternoon and said we'll see where we are and talk about our options. i hope he's not thinking c-section! he did say he thinks he's already 8 pounds...ahh!

May 12 - 39 weeks: had a doctors appointment today and still at 0! now its starting to get frustrating. i just really want to meet my little adam. if only he wanted to meet me...lol! also my BP was a little high so they kept me there for a little bit and i had to lay on my left side then they rechecked it and they released me. they want me to come back thursday so they can check it again.
