I had my eldest son at st augustine's the other 2 boys at st mary's there in durbs. My daughter i had in vrede hospital. Its a small town in the freestate. I'm not on medical aid so i'm going to a government hospital. Most probably the one close to my mom in the eastern cape.

Hi again
Thank you for your note. We live in Hertfordshire (Potters Bar) about 15 mins by fast train from London Kings Cross. We've been in the UK since 1999 - came over for the Rugby World Cup and never left! Not necessarily because we love living here, just because opportunities abound. We are able to travel a lot and the Pound speaks for itself. I grew up in the Eastern Cape but met Neil while I was studying in Durban. I lived in Durbs from about 1995 - 1999. Neil is from the Southcoast (Port Shepstone). We have friends who live in Kloof. In fact we were in SA in March and met up with them. The pregancy has it's ups & downs - had some light bleeding last night so am seeing the Dr this afternoon to get myself booked in for a scan. Fingers crossed all is still fine - will keep you posted. Cheers for now. Jacks

Hi Lalabear
I only joined the "I am pregnant" site today - after I saw your post and clicked on you and saw you were South African. I reside in the UK (9yrs now) but am also South African and 8 weeks pregnant today. Look forward to sharing this very exciting time with another fellow Saffa, although you live miles away...speak soon. Jackie

hi, i was reading some of the comments you posted. i haven't been vomiting either just nausea and the feeling of wanting to throw up but i read that not all women vomit during pregnancy so am trying to keep positive. what are the symptoms u have experience?

Rosieb - Wednesday, 30 April
Lol i've been saying the same thing to a friend of mine here. She's 32 weeks and i wish i was there already. I'm not the best of anything while being pregnant and wish it was over. Hehe! Time really does fly. Think i joined this site when i was about as far as u and i cant believe i'm halfway already! Anyways how u doing? Any niggles bothering u?

Rosieb - Tuesday, 29 April
Yeah! A fellow south african! Lol i have been thinking i'm all alone out here. About yr questions of yr 1st antenatal visit, it depends on if yr on medical aid or not. And also differs from dr to dr.
