i love that name! thats what we were going to use if it was a girl! it was gonna be kalani nicole. yea my doc siad i wont make it to the end of july either. they are aying the first or second week of july bc he'll be to big for me to deliver bc im only 4 10 and hes already 4 1/2 lbs. we are aming him camden thomas. off of 7th heaven! :) ooh i cant wait to see hich one of u she looks like!

Whoa! They really messed up not giving you that 2nd test, huh? I am so sorry you had to go through all of that. Are you feeling ok now? You sound like you are good spirits, just kind of taking it all as it comes. My husband and I went to a birthing class tonight - hysterical! He had to leave when they showed the video, and frankly I've no idea why we're going since it sounds likely they will induce me and also likely I'll have a c-section! Dr. has also asked that I cut down on work hours - oh boy is my boss gonna flip a gasket. This is not going to be a fun conversation. So will you deliver next week? Or are they just monitoring for now? BTW - we are w/o power in Michigan, so I apologize for taking so long to write back. No power since Sun night AND it's been over 90. Ahhhh!

Thanks! Your info is really helpful. I guess I have to ask when I see the specialist on Wednesday HOW they know I have it. I honestly feel like eating whatever I want and then testing throughout the day to see what my levels are. It is just hard to convince me lol. I mean, I would like to know like the drink you have to drink is the equivalent of eating what?? I mean as long as I dont have that much I should be fine lol. Who knows, I am just in denial I guess. I am hopinh I can control with diet until the end because I am a wimp when it comes to needles. Pricking my finger is hard enough for me!!! Congrats on your baby girl!!!

It's so crazy, fantastic and scary all at once, isn't it? So are you on insulin b/c they decided you have gestational diabetes or something like that? I have gestational hypertension, so I'm extrapolating (in other words clueless). I will almost certainly not go full term, they say either June 23 (if she falls below 5th percentile), otherwise they'll induce at 37 weeks, the week of July 7. I haven't even had a shower yet. Thing is, I DON'T CARE! LOL. I love what you wrote about our little ones being so strong and fighting. You do the same.

Hi again. I am going to the hospital today for some hook-up to monitors for the baby to see how she's growing. Trying not to be too worried. I also started blood pressure meds in hopes that will solve both my pressure and more importantly the baby's ability to get nutrition. Oddly, my fluids are great and the size of my belly is spot on. It's just my BP and the baby's size that are of concern. She dropped to below the 10th percentile. If she drops further, they will induce at 35 weeks. We'll see ...Please keep me posted on how you are!!!!

may I ask you what the symptoms of having low fluid are? I am curious because my doctor mentioned it very briefly a while back that my fluid was a little low. I don't have an appointment until next week. Thanks.

Oh honey! You had to go to the hospital? My fluids are ok. They said my fluids and belly size and her movements are all good. You're right - it's a stressful time. How I wish it weren't. Your comments make me feel better though. So if you deliver at 34 weeks that means you are going to be with your little one in less than 2 weeks? Wow! That is so incredible. I am excited for you. I know it's scary, but I know you will be ok and so will your baby.

hah yeah the bathroom, we went to the bikini contest last nght at the hooters i work at and i went to the bathroom 13 times in 4 hours! i couldnt believe it! and its horirble bc its not like u haveto go alot its just a little bit. grrr lol. does the shot have any side affects? did it hurt? im horrible with needles. im realy kinda scared bc i feel like i cant drink anymore, i drank an entire case of water (the 24 ack bottles) the last 2 days. but i feel like i could jsut pop! what is a non stress test?? i go back on tuesday for aother ultrasound. im hoping evrthing is ok. my bfis gonna stay at my house this weeked and we are going to watch moives and stuff so i stay off my feet, bc as hard as i try i cant just lay around all day. it drive me nuts and i have a 1 year old puppy who doesnt allow it! haha. but im glad to har everything is going good for u. thats awesom they let u have ur computer in there, my hopsital said no computers (when we did the tour). do u think the baby will come early?

Just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers! The positive thing is that you are at least 31 weeks and the baby I think will do well if it came to that. Hopefully though you will be able to hold on just a few more. Good luck.

Hi, i hope you don't need to deliver early but even if you did at this point i'm sure baby would do very well! I was also given steroid injections in case i need to deliver early! I'm not sure how low my fluid level is but baby can still move around well enough. hope all goes well for you & baby, let me know how you get on! I have follow up appointment next friday for another scan to check babys growth & fluid level - fingers crossed!!

Hi langiel, i read your recent post about having low amniotic fluid & i just wanted to say i have also had the same problem. My midwife referred me to the hospital because i was measuring small for my dates. I had an U/S & baby is small & low fluid level. I was told by my consultant that small babies don't produce much fluid! she said to rest & drink plenty. i was just wondering what advise you were given & if your baby is also small for dates?? Hope the rest of your pregnancy progresses well:

Thank you!! Wow only 10 more weeks to go for you. I know it feels like forever huh? I hit that point and thought are you kidding me??? That's scary about the low fluid...I hope you're taking it easy. I can imagine how you're stressed...I know I would be. Keep me posted on what happens, and I'll say a little prayer that things go well.

I know. I got in SERIOUS trouble with my Dr. Monday. She's like "Stop it! Take it easy!" This appointment after an announcement at work that our work loads will be increasing due to so many people (me included, LOL) going on leave, retiring, or quitting and they can't plug holes with new hires because of a hiring freeze! Ridiculous. I am sooooooo looking forward to my little one arriving and just focusing on her. Take care! And drink your gatorade!
