First time Parents!!!
My husband James and I got married March 31, 2007. We weren't really trying to get pregnant so soon, but it happened and we can't be more excited! All of our friends and family can't wait for our little Elijah or Jayda to come.
20 Week Ultrasound Scheduled - January 28, 2008 at 3:00pm
I can't wait to find out the sex of our baby. I'm not too sure yet if James really wants to find out, but we'll have that figured out by then I hope :)
How I'm Feeling...
I am 3 months today and so far have had NO sickness, no cramping, no fatigue, no anything! I'm very glad that I have been so lucky with that. If I never took a pregnancy test, I would have never known anything was different! (other than not getting my period) I just hope that everything from this day on, goes on just as it has been.
I haven't heard a heartbeat yet :( I went for my second prenatal appointment a month ago and it was just too early. My next appointment is in 2 weeks and my doc said that she should for sure be able to hear one.
My first ultrasound was when I was 4 weeks. This was due to me not knowing my dates, so we went to find out our due date. All I saw in this one was the embryonic sac. That was pretty boring. I don't get to go for another ultrasound until I am 20 weeks. I am already just counting down the days for that to come.
15 Weeks!!
I'm 15 weeks today. Everything is going great. I've been feeling little twitches in the sides of my lower stomach just when I lay down to go to bed at night. I'm wondering now if it's the baby I am feeling for the first time.
I can't wait until I go for my ultrasound. I see so many people that have had them at 12 weeks and sooner, and recieved pics from them too. I had 1 ultrasound, and it just seems like a really long time to have to wait until the end of January. I'm not really worried that anything is wrong with my baby, but it just seems like I won't know if there is until so much later. Oh well, I'm just excited that's all.
If we have a baby girl I'm thinking that I want her bedroom to be horses. If we have a baby boy, I want the bedroom to do with farming. I have so many ideas already. This is just killing me not know the sex!!
20 Weeks 4 Days
I went for my 20 week ultrasound yesturday! It was pretty cool seeing the little thing in there. We didn't find out the sex of the baby, and although I thought that it was going to absolutely kill me, I'm fine with it now. I am just even more excited until the birth day comes. Our little nerd has all the right parts and was cooperating very well. He/she is very active though! It's great feeling that all the time.
We've picked out the bedding. It's from babiesrus...it's the My Little Farm theme. I'm in love with it! It will work for either a boy or a girl, so it's perfect!
As for right now, there isn't much going on with my pregnancy. The baby is kicking all the time and sometimes keeps me awake at night. I feel great and can't complain about anything. I will continue playing volleyball every week and I haven't had any problems with that at all. I'm just waiting for a huge bump and the due date :)
25 Weeks
Well on February 19th I went to school around 5:30pm and my butt/upper leg was hurting me pretty badly. I went to school anyway. After my lecture, I could hardly stand on my leg. When I got home around 8:30pm, I couldn't even walk on my leg and when I got into my house I took off my pants to look at it and it was bright blue. My WHOLE leg was swollen and very blue. My husband took me to the ER and I was admitted into the hospital. I have a blot clot in my pelvis somewhere. I've been in the hospital for 11 days now. It has been very boring. I have to give myself 2 shots of heparin (a blood thinner) every day for the rest of the pregnancy. I am on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy. This is brutal because I'm a pretty active person. Anyway, I'll update again when I get out of the hospital. Hope everyone else is healthy and well! The baby is completely safe and fine just to let everyone know!!
34 WEEKS
So things have been a lot better with my leg during the past month. I can walk on it with no problems or pain, however it does still swell a lot if I'm on it for a lengthy period. I give myself 1 shot of fragmin per day instead of 2 small ones. I can't wait until that is done and over with. Once I have the baby I'll get to switch to Warfarin which is a pill form of a blood thinner! I met with my obgyn for the first time this week..finally! She seemed really nice. She gave me 2 induction dates. Either May 30 or June 2. Only 1 more month to go :) When I see her in 2 weeks, we'll schedule one of those dates in for sure. I'm thinking May 30th than people can come visit in the hospital on a weekend. I was told nothing will be different about my labour, other than it having to be induced so that they can monitor the blood thinners I'm on. I'm getting anxious and I can't wait to NOT be pregnant anymore. It seems like forever ago that we told people we were expecting. We'll that's my exciting news :) Only 4 more weeks left!
Your belly button is pokin' out! That hasn't happened to me yet, and I hope it doesn't lol!
