Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

My Company sucks too! well only when it comes to the short term disability. the president hired a "HR" in Feb so now everything is going into place because of her but the short term disability will only be effective to people that are pregnant after July... which sucks for me. my last day is this wednesday. i'm entitled to 12 weeks also (its actuall the law) I just have a question. i've been leaving work early because of my appointments to the doc's office and what not. my boss said that i have to have 40 hours a week so if its less than 40 hours a week, i have to use my sick days or vacation days... is that legal???? so now, i only have a freakin' 11 hours to my name when it comes to my vacation!!! GRRRRRRRR

Hey tha day u leave wrk iz tha day of my next doctor visit lol. Well I live off of prospect ave, but moving 2 hempstead nex month bcuz my mom iz tryn 2 raise my rent on me, meanwhile she knowz I have a baby on tha way & have other bills 2 pay. So I'm movin w/ my fiance 2 hiz aunts house 4 now.

I got soooo much stuff fm freecycle.org! you have to have a yahoo acct to use freecycle (it's pretty easy to get a yahoo acct) but everything on freecycle is FREE! you can offer stuff, ask for stuff, and give stuff that ppl ask for. some will be used & some will be new but it's all free & recycled. i'm a treehugger and wicked recycler so unless it's a little too personal, i'll give it away or take it off someone's hands. i have: pump in style medela breast pump, crib (w/sheets), swing, dresser, carriage/car seat/travel set, TONNNZ of clothes, basinet, baby bath tub, bicycle trailer (hooks up to back of my bike so i can take him for rides eventually) an assortment of baby products, some baby food, etc. i have lots more but my point is that i got all of the above...FOR FREE! my hubby got a bicycle, lawnmower, file cabinets, chairs for the deck, a whole house humidifier, etc. Well of course let me know how your baby shower goes!

i SWEAR i can feel my cervix being stretched by corey's head! and my effin hips!!! let me just tell you...when i lay on either side for length of time...my hips ACHE! and i get relief, yep i'm serious on this one, when i lay on my back and pull my legs back (as if i'm giving birth)! i'm NOT KIDDDING! that's how i get relief! i'm kinda thinking/hoping that it means i'll be able to pass this baby. i know i'm only 35 wks but i'm sooo ready for corey bumpkins to make his grand entrance. ***water breaking*** dust to me ;)

yeah, my youngest is almost 8, but i'm still going back n forth between being petrified of labor and can't wait for it to come. one day i'm petrified and the next i'm soo hoping for contractions to start or for my water to break. i'm a wicked oxymoron these days :) if i'd been able to vaginally deliver my 2nd son, i'd be much less worried. i don't have good child-bearing hips. my mother had 4 kids...all of us born via c/s. i'm a twin; we were born 2 wks late and i still only weighed 3 lb, 8 oz...she couldn't pass me vaginally! my twin was 4 lb, 8 oz, my older brother was about 7 lb & my younger sister was about 7 lb, 8 oz. obviously they went c/s too. my mother is bigger boned and taller than me too! both my sisters have had c/s with their bigger babies (any babies over 6 lb, 7 oz fm us 3 girls have been born via cesarean.) i'm gonna TRYYYY to see if/how long i can go w/out pain meds. i was the birth coach for my gfnd who went w/out meds bc her births are effin fast! she had her 7 lb 8 oz daughter in about 2 hrs and no meds. her recovery was lightning quick and her daughter was very alert when born & she started breastfeeding as soon as she was cleaned up and given to her mom! of course i'm NOT OPPOSED to the epidural...HECK NO! i had one w/ea of my kids and it worked WOOOONDERS w/my 1st! no pain & i don't think it impeded my labor progression. anyhoo...i hafta get to bed now. later! :)

LATINOCONSABOR: i'm in wk 35 now but i saw your comment on the 'wk to wk' section. i had an appt on thur and the midwife said corey is about 4 1/2 lbs now (give or take a few oz obviously). my 1st was born at 6 lb, 2 oz and my 2nd was 8 lb, 2 oz. but i had gd w/the 2nd one. it took 3 hrs of pushing to get my 1st out. i pushed for about 5 hrs w/my 2nd and he was just too big. i had an emerg c/s. i'm SOOO hoping corey will be 6 - 6 1/2 lbs. i DREAD another c/s. it's not the surgery that's bad...it's the recovery :( the vaginal delivery w/my 1st was soooo much easier. i was up and walking around about half an hr later. i was back to pre-preg weight in about 3 wks. it took FOREEEVERR w/my 2nd. but if you were able to push out 9 lb, 9 oz, well then GOOOOD for you! luuuuucky you! i WIIIIISH i was able to...i'd have a lot less worry about delivering my corey!

I am scared about the big baby thing as well. My daughter was 9 pounds and I was over 10 when I was born. I had been cut with my daughter and still tore really bad. I talked to my doc about it and he said it is safe to induce at 37 weeks so he may induce me a few weeks early in order to avoid a c-section. Maybe talk to your doctor about it??
