Hi all! My name is Laura.

I live in Melbourne, Australia with my partner Nathan, and we are expecting our first child on the 13th Sept 2008!

We had a scan a couple of weeks back, and were told "it's a boy!" - and while our little miracle wasn't planned, he isn't unwanted :-) Names are a hot topic in our house, and I think at the moment we have a shortlist of Kai Thomas Gabriel, Zac Thomas Gabriel, Bryce Thomas Gabriel....and that's it so far - any comments or suggestions would be MUCH appreciated!!

I have to say - I thought being pregnant would be alot easier than it has been, but i wouldn't change it for anything in the world. Just have to keep thinking about the amazing little man I am going to get at the end of it all :-)

We have had a few minor complications along the way, but issues that relate more to my health than the babies - so I can take it all on the chin, as it's nothing that is putting him at any real risk yet!

At our 22 week scan, I was told that he is measuring 2 weeks bigger than his due date...but what this means hasn't actually been explained to me yet - but I have an appt on the 5/6/08, so will ask my doctor then! I hope it doesn't mean that he is going to be big - because I'm only little myself! (5"2 I think!!) Not sure I will be able to handle a big baby!!!

I feel bigger by the day, and am currently experiencing feet/hands/a head in my ribs - a sensation i def won't miss when he is born!

well ladies - i went into pre-term labor on wednesday at 9.10pm....they managed to slow the contractions down a little with some drugs, and have finally sent me home on bed-rest until d-day arrives...which could be any time between now and the babys due date.

was officially the scariest thing i have ever exprienced in my life, and im not enjoying sitting on my bum contracting every 10-15 minutes, but its all for my little man and i will do whatever i have to to keep him in there!
