November 27, 2007

Time is going by soo fast, i cant wait till shes here! I am loving being pregnant at this point. The baby moves and kicks constantly. Seriously, i think Im having a kickboxer. lol, she kicked me so hard the other day i literally jumped off the couch. So far I have gained 12 pounds! I think half of it is in my boobs! I feel like a hippo but its all for my baby! The doctor says she is growing at the right rate and ultrasound images show nothing wrong! I am just so happy that she is a healthy baby!! Me and my husband are having a hard time picking out a name for this little one. We just cant seem to decide on anything we both like. So far we have Abigail, Carleigh, Casey, Erica, and Kylee. I think Danielle will be the middle name. Any suggestions would be great! Hope everyone is doing awesome.

well i can happily say that i am not pregnant anymore! i finally had my little girl! i NEVER thought i would get to say that! she came a week late but shes finally here! she was born on march 30th at 2:39 pm. she came out with a head full of hair and looking so much like her daddy its unreal. i am happier than i have ever been in my life. she is so beautiful and i just can not believe she is all mine.

April 17, 2008

It is so awesome to be a mom! My little girl is growing and changing so much everyday! She is almost 3 weeks old now! Wow how time flies! It sure went by slow those last weeks of pregnancy though! haha, Kylies umbilical cord finally fell off on monday and I gave her first bath today!! She loved it!! I couldnt believe it! She didnt cry at all, she just sat there and looked around while i bathed her. I really thought she would hate it but she didnt! She has also gained a whole pound since she was born! At her 2 weeks checkup she weighed 7 lbs 14 oz!! and grew 1 1/2 inches!! I was so amazed at how much she had grown in only 2 weeks! She is such a good baby though, she only cries when shes hungry. I am still breastfeeding, it was soooo hard at first bc my nipples were sooo sore and painful! it hurt soo bad! But its getting better everyday, and its good to know that she is getting enough since shes gaining so well! I am just at such a happy time in my life. God has given me this beautiful miracle. What a blessing my little girl is!

THANKS FOR THE PIC COMMENT CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK

Desire - Saturday, 2 Feb
1. What do you believe are the most important traits for a couple to share in marriage?
I believe that trust and faith in God are Extremely important. Things like religion, financial matters, gender roles, and having similar life goals.
2. What do you feel has contributed to the success of your marriage?
The fact that we agree to disagree. Joe and I try to understand each other and our differences. The Bible says that we (as Christians) do not battle against flesh and blood (each other) but against the spiritual forces of evil. (Ephesians 6:12) Love thy neighbor, brother and husband the same.
3. If there was something that you could change about your marriage, what would it be?
Getting out of debt before marriage.
4. What has been the most difficult part of your marriage? (example:young children, facing empty nest, career difficulties, etc.)
I would say that the most difficult part of my marriage has been financial struggles.

6. What has been the most rewarding part of marriage for you?
The most rewarding part is our children and our growing love for one another. Maturing together in Christ. Companionship.

Thanks,

Desire'M.Cruz

Hi - We have only been married a year, but lived together for five so I think I will weigh in on your survey. :)
1. The most important traits to share are: shared religious, child rearing and life goals.
2. The ability to have our own lives and separate interests have contributed to our success. Also, patience and compromise. 3. I would improve our communication skills with each other. 4. The biggest challenge came when his father moved in with us. It nearly tore us apart. 5. Be patient. 6. The most rewarding part is that I can't wait to see him and talk to him everyday after work. I look forward to 'dating' him.

luvmyboys - Friday, 1 Feb
Oh, I also wanted to say that I LOVE the belly pictures on your page!! It is so great to have your pregnancy documented like that! Let me know how your project works out and God bless!

luvmyboys - Friday, 1 Feb
Hi there! Congrats on your baby girl! I'll be married for 10 years on Valentine's Day!

1. What do you believe are the most important traits for a couple to share in marriage?
I believe that having the same philosophy in life is extremely important. Things like religion, financial matters, gender roles, and having similar life goals.
2. What do you feel has contributed to the success of your marriage?
The fact that we fight well. Eric and I have learned to fight like we're on the same team. The Bible says that we (as Christians) do not battle against flesh and blood (each other) but against the spiritual forces of evil. (Ephesians 6:12) That verse has always helped us keep perspective and know who we are really fighting against and that WE are on the SAME team!
3. If there was something that you could change about your marriage, what would it be?
I don't know if this answer is appropriate for this question, but I'm gonna give this answer anyway. If I could change something, it would be that I would've been able to have been on my own for a while before marriage. My husband and I both went straight from our parents homes to marriage and I would like to have had some time to be all on my own.
4. What has been the most difficult part of your marriage? (example:young children, facing empty nest, career difficulties, etc.)
I would say that the most difficult part of my marriage has been financial struggles and me understanding what my husband truly needs. I'm so thankful he has been patient with me to understand him. It took me about 6 years to understand that what he wants most is to be respected, understood and appreciated. Now that I truly know what that means, I can meet those needs so much better!
5. What advice would you give to couples today who are seeking to marry?
To learn how to fight (see answer to number 2), and to understand what their definition of love is and be that for them!
6. What has been the most rewarding part of marriage for you?
The most rewarding part is growing more in love each day. I only thought I loved Eric the day I married him, but looking back, that love looks so superficial. My love for him is so deep and rooted in time and experience. I also love the security in the fact that I know he will never ever leave. We are committed to each other until the end.

I have been married 15 years this year and I am a student too so I know what it is like to do projects. Glad to help!

1. What do you believe are the most important traits for a couple to share in marriage? There are several but the most important are beliefs: religious, child rearing, family, finances, direction.
2. What do you feel has contributed to the success of your marriage? Patience, respect, and love. Marriage is hard work and should be treated as something you want for the rest of your life, not just to pass the time.
3. If there was something that you could change about your marriage, what would it be? Without a doubt it would be finances, there is never enough money to do everything that needs to be done, or paid, or fixed.
4. What has been the most difficult part of your marriage? Communication when situations arise like finances or inlaws. We have gone to therapy to learn to communicate better and are still in therapy out of choice to strengthen our marriage rather than out of necessity to save it.
5. What advice would you give to couples today who are seeking to marry? Marriage is like a gourmet meal; it is to be savored and enjoyed. Marriage is not like a TV dinner to be thrown away. Don’t get married for the wedding, get married because you truly love the person and want to work at spending the rest of your life together. Remember, the newness wears off and you’re left with the truth.
6. What has been the most rewarding part of marriage for you? Sharing my life with my best friend, the ups and downs, the smiles and tears, and best of all, knowing he is always next to me when I fall asleep. I have truly been blessed!

RobinG - Friday, 1 Feb
We've been married for 14.5 years :) 1. What do you believe are the most important traits for a couple to share in marriage?.... You must be friends too, Have sim Hobbies but if there are things the other does that you dont enjoy respect them and still support the other in their interest. 2. What do you feel has contributed to the success of your marriage? .... knowing when intervention is needed ~ success will still have bumps so you must both get help (counseling) when that happens. The ten year itch does exist so you need to get through it.... Marriage isnot easy and always smooth sailing so dont expect it to be... 3. If there was something that you could change about your marriage, what would it be? Finances ~ we struggle and I hate it.... 4. What has been the most difficult part of your marriage? Money issues and taking out frustration on each other when we cant afford things... (example:young children, facing empty nest, career difficulties, etc.) 5. What advice would you give to couples today who are seeking to marry? Dont wait to do the things you want to do, pay your bills on time, remember no mmatter what it should always be 50/50 when it comes to house work, child rearing and nights out with friends... When it comes to in laws sometimes you need to go against your parents and stand by your wife and husband. Dont always put your parents first, just cause they are your parents doesnt mean they are always right..... When you have children dont ever use them as a pawn, they will suffer and it is just plain wrong... 6. What has been the most rewarding part of marriage for you? Having children and raising them together :) Not just me while he works. Feeling like we are a family.

Oh geeez, I almost forgot.... Congrats on the pregnancy!! ;) lol

Hey there, thought I would help you out on the whole marriage assignment.. We've been married 8 years but together for close to 16. Anyway here goes.... 1) Communication, Honesty, Trust, and Love. 2) All of the above. 3) Absolutly nothing, we're far from having the 'perfect' marriage but I love every minute of it and wouldnt change it for the world. 4) Money Issues...Hubby has an awesome job but no so good credit, so we tried for years to get a mortgage to buy a house, I finally got a job where he works (making half of what he does) and when I did we finally got approved. We bought a little house and the bills started piling, we got behind on everything, and the christmas came, it all added a bit of stress to our marriage but like it always does, our luck changed, we came into a bit of money and paid off most of our bills. Hopefully now we can stay caught up and stay happy, lol. 5) Make sure your relationship is where you want it to be before you take the leap, once you do, enjoy your spats, your love (making), your ups AND downs, and always try to remember that no matter what, your love, honesty, trust, and care for each other is what got you to the point you are at and smile about it. Oh and no matter what always say I love you before you say good bye even if your hanging up the phone mad. You just never know!! ;) 6) Unless you want to read for hours this should be a multiple choice question lol.... So to narrow it down, its hands down, our little miracles, our children!!
Good luck with the assignment and sorry if this is too long!! Take Care!!

jenakers - Friday, 1 Feb
We just had our 10th anniversary! 1. Love, Common interests/goals, honesty, respect 2. Love, understanding, forgiveness, sense of humor 3. More time together, more money for the freedom of taking a vacation. 4. Communication and saying 'sorry' 5. Be VERY sure about the person, Don't rush, (in my opinion) You need to see someone for at least 1 year to get to know all of their moods and quirks. Get to know their family, although not always a reflection of the individual, it can be an indicator of that persons ideals. 6. Always having someone to share the ups and downs of life and who loves me unconditionally. Good luck. Jen
