hi there- i have been bleeding(not bright red blood.) this is my 4th pregnancy & did not have this with the other 3. i have called the dr. and they always ask if i have any cramping & if the blood is red.(signs of mc) the answer has been no Praise God! they did ask me to cool it alittle & not have sex until it dies down.

they always call it a threatened miscarriage in the ER when you have any signs of blood. I have heard that several time sthroughout this pregnancy. did they give you an u/s or just a pelvic exam. i had bleeding all the way up until last week which was 8 weeks, 4 days but i just keep prayinga nd everything has been alright. just keep the faith.

go to the emergency room and get an emergency u/s because you need to make sure you are ok.

i had the spotting up until last week, and I have had several u/s and the baby has been fine and perfect little heartbeat. have you had an u/s?? i was told that it was old blood and maybe i had twins and lost one but either way the baby is doing great and as long as it is not bright red bllod or passing clots then most likely it is nothing to worry. i will pray for you.

Lauren, yes, it is very helpful to talk to others about what happened, what is going to happen and how you feel. You just need to choose those people you share with carefully - otherwise it will hurt you more than do you good. It is very hard for outsiders to relate and understand and even be comfortable talking about it.
Lauren, you will never fully get over it, but it will get easier. And of course none of us want it to happen again, and so we are anxious about our next pregnancy. That is only natural. We now know that not every pregnancy ends like it is supposed to - with a beautiful healthy baby. But we have to keep hoping.

Lauren, your doctor does medical practice - his job is not to relate although it would be wonderful if they did... I am not saying all doctors are heartless but in general they won't understand your fear and concerns. The only people that can understand are people who have experienced a loss. If you need to talk, we are out there! I am one of them.
Again, I am truly sorry for your loss. Allow yourself to feel what you feel and know it is perfectly normal to have fear - fear about what happens next and future pregnancies. Don't hold it all in. Talking to others can be very healing and necessary.

lauren, I think it is different for everybody so it is hard to say what is normal. I have read that some have heavier and longer period, and some have a lighter and maybe even interrupted period. I think you just need to trust your doctor on this one that you are fine.
I want you to know I am truly sorry for your loss. How long ago did you miscarry?

Don't be afraid to go to your doctor, hun. Many, many people don't wait as long as the doctor says, and they are used to it. While most likely nothing serious is wrong, you really should have the bleeding checked out.
My doctor only had us wait two weeks (or until the bleeding stopped) when I miscarried and had a D&C at 13 weeks last year.

I'm so sorry about your loss. Miscarriage isn't pleasant and I don't really wish it upon anyone. As for your bleedig, I'd suggest that you go to your doctor and tell him anyway. I was told to wait 2-3 weeks before having sex again. We waited almost 2 weeks and I bled a little but nothing severe. But you were further along than I was so I guess your body is taking awhile to heal. Good luck though, and I'll keep you in my prayers.

you should call your doctor.I'm sure you are not the only one who didn't follow the orders.I didn't and i did not have bleeding afterwards.just see him so you dont have future female problems
