My profile

Our baby boy is doing great! About 6 inches and 13 ounces as of 9/18, and everything is developing normally. His heartbeat at this latest visit was 157, and his heart looked perfect. He started out on his back, legs up, just chillin'; then he kicked and boogied a bit for us - sooooo cute to see. <3 I'm in love!

I was so sure it was a girl, that when the tech showed us otherwise I think I was in shock for several hours. But once it sank in, I realized that I actually felt relieved -- I guess I'd wanted a boy all along and just hadn't let myself tune into having a preference one way or the other. Now, I'm just tickled. We are so blessed!

This is our first child. DH & I met online (match.com!) in 2005, married in 2007, and now in 2009 are waiting to go from being a couple to becoming a family.

We love Ireland - spent our honeymoon there, because my DH is part Irish - and decided to choose names with some Irish history, but we didn't want to go so far as to choose Gaelic names that people here wouldn't pronounce right (Padraig, for instance; or Seamus). So we've arrived at Emmett Patrick. Emmett's not Irish, actually; it's English. But Emmet (one "t") isn't uncommon there. And anyway it *sounds* Irish to us, so we're just pretending it is! Plus people here know how to say it, lol.

The Chinese Calendar and the Lunar Calendar were both right in their predictions that we'd have a boy; Madame Zaritsky was wrong. Not judging her poorly, though, as I was wrong too! Ha ha ha ha.

Congratulations to all you other expecting mommies (and daddies) out there! I wish you all full-term, healthy pregnancies; quick & easy deliveries; and practically perfect little ones!! Plus loving romantic helpful partners, too. :-)

How`s my pregnancy doing?

She is rotten! You don't see much of the other one in the new season though. I'm hooked on Ghost Whisperer too; but can't find full episodes online of the past seasons. I missed most of last season and was so confused when this one started. How are you feeling today? Not bad here. Just no energy.

Lucy Ball (I love lucy) was the first prego woman on tv. They hid her behind stuff too. I think it's so funny on desp housewvs that gabbys girls are bigger. Did you see the one yet where her oldest is bullying MJ?

I watched it when it first came out then just got away from it. I was glad when they started playing the reruns on Lifetime. I think we are at about the same spot, though I have been keeping up with the new season! Do you think Gabby is prego in season 5? In real life not on the show. I also watch the show Bones and I think that actress is prego too. Maybe I just have prego bellies on the brain.

You can watch Tv shows on hulu.com or fancast.com. I prefer hulu. I love Desp. Housewives! even have DJ watching it now. lol

TJ got his first tooth this morning! he just turned 15mo and we've been waiting for this for a long time now.

it's one of the front bottom two teeth... and helps explain why he's been so grumpy/inconsolable and sleepy the last week!

You definitely need to put your foot down and find the reason behind all of this. They are your family you deserve answers!! There is a old wise tale my mom told me, she said your son is only your son until he gets married and your daughter is your daughter forvever. If there is any truth to that, than it explains why your brothers don't call!

Thanks for the comment on the poll my husband and I also disagree on the issue of circumcision and that was one of the reasons I wanted to find out but then I was torn because I found out with the last two and I thought it might be fun not to find out, but knowing that there is others out there in the same situation and it really helps to have the extra time is helping me make a decision. Thanks!

That's ok lol. That sucks she was in labor for 48 hrs, then a c-section. During my last pregnancy I had a total of 3 ultrasounds one being level 2 and towards the end I had weekly fluid checks. So maybe the insurance will cover it. I just wanna see the baby, and as long as it cooperated I'm sure they could determine the sex, I'm excited and can't wait. I guess I'll find out tomorrow when it will be. Thanks again.

Thank you for responding to my question. Yea, when I had 1 with my daughter..it almost looked the same as a normal ultrasound just much clearer and the can really get a good look at the babies organs..

Let me know how it goes. My doctor told me that there really was nothing I could do about the cramps. I found that stretching my leg with my heal up helps...but those are cramps in my calf. Also, my husband massages my legs and that helps relieve the cramp. Just some ideas!
