Arianna's Birth Story....

December 18th was our due date..we decided on Monday the 17th we would go into the hospital to be "induced" if she wasn't here by then. However, we didn't want to use pitocin or anything, we were going to just have the bag of waters broken (that was how the labor of my last daughter was started and was very successful!). So, after a restless night of sleep knowing my daughter was going to be born that next day, I woke up at 4:30am to use the restroom. Laid back down and started feeling "cramping" in my lower belly, VERY slight, well, then I got a bloody show around 5:30ish and we were off to the hospital! By 6am when I was getting in my gown and all hooked up to see what was going on they discoverd by the monitoring that I was in "Active Labor" already and was dialated to 5cm! The next 2 hours were VERY VERY intense but very powerful! No pain meds or anything else I was successfully pushing by 8am!!! Yes!!!! 2 hours of labor and our daughter was born at exactly 8:20am!!! I pushed 2 times at each contraction and a total of 4 contractions and she was born!! A BEAUTIFUL healthy 7lbs 1oz 19 inches long with black hair and blue eyes!!!! The 2 hour labor was just AMAZING...it was short but VERY intense pain and contractions doubling up on top of each other so I only got very frequent breaks, however, it was an amazing experience that neither my husband or I will never forget!!! I did not rip or tear due to the WONDERFUL team work of my doctor and me! He used a lot of oils and did the perineal (sp?) message the entire time and just worked with my "opening" so that it was as natural as possible for her to come out! The doctor would pull down on certain spots of my "opening" (lol) and tell me to concentrate on pushing exactly where he was putting the pressure! It was EXTREMELY painful, but very exciting to know that I did it and did it completely naturally! I do remember feeling her being about half way out and I could feel her nose being right there, after that next push her neck was SUCH a relief!!! Then her shoulders followed and there she was!!! Uhhh...it brings tears to my eyes still to think about that wonderful feeling!

Arianna 7 weeks!!!! So ADORABLE

Austen 9, Alex 6 and Ari! They are SO PROUD of their baby sister!!!

Bath time with Daddy.... just absorbing all that he is saying to me!!

Snug as a bug in her swing!

I love to look at the hold she has on me when she is nursing!

LOL....she cries quite often still!

EXTREMLY proud family we all are! Arianna and her big brother Austen and big sister Alex with mommy and daddy too!

Yehhhh!!! Such a PROUD daddy he is and a GREAT husband he was even during labor!!! I couldn't ask for a better man!!!

This picture below is just minutes after she was born and wrapped up!!

My lovely husband took this picture of me during one of my contractions!!! BREATHING was the ONLY thing that got me through the most instense 2 hours of my life!!!!

The contractions were doubling up...they weren't looking too intense on this slip, but boy, did they feel like it!

On September 30, 2006, I married the love of my life!! We had been together (on & off actually) for about 4 years at that time then made the final commitment to spend the rest of our lives together, and what an AMAZING choice it has been so far!
A brief bit of our life story! :) lol
I have 2 children from previous relationships, Austen who will be 9 this month (June) and Alexandra who is 5. Neither one of them are my husband's biological children but we like to live by the quote "It is not flesh and blood that make us father and child, but the heart" because NOONE can ever tell by the way Josh is with our kids that they are not his biological children! I have been EXTREMELY BLESSED!!! Josh came into our lives when my little girl was only a few months old and when my son was 4 so he is in every aspect their daddy to them! My son doesn't have ANY contact w/ his biological father, we are currently trying to get him to sign-off all parental rights to Austen so Josh can adopt him!
So, here we are, married almost one year and 13 weeks pregnant! This will be our last baby though as we are both getting older and I started having my children when I was 18 (yeah, a little young but would NEVER take it back for anything!) but I don't want to be changing diapers for 70% of my life! LOL
We also have 2 black labs that are JUST as much children as our children are...so, essentially, I have like 4 kids it seems!
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the page! :)
I do have a myspace page.....feel free to check it out as well! Here's the link! http://myspace.com/christinesamuelson
Ohhh...and How did I forget to mention.... My sister (older! LOL) is pregnant also and we are due THE SAME DAY!!! She & her husband have been trying for SEVERAL years so this is TRULY a blessing!!!
Alexandra!!!!
Austen !!! Josh!!!
Me before pregnancy....my daughter took this picture and was "posing" me!!

Hello ladies!
Here is a little update:
Ella is 9 months and 2 days old today! I can't believe she will be a year in less than 3 months!! She is "talking" up a storm these days and her first recognizable word was "daaadyyy" =) Daddy was so proud!!! Mommy was jealous, but still very proud and happy cause she truly is daddy's little girl. =) She is crawling a lot these days and we are child proofing left and right. She likes to pull herself up, but no walking yet...oh, well, she is growing up too fast anyway!

Hope you and your babies are doing GREAT! HUGS!

Aww I love all the pics! I so want to name my next daughter Arianna if we have another girl. I love that name. Your older kids are so precious. They just love that little baby. :o)

Thank you for the awesome welcome! I absolutely love this site. Daniel my oldest is about to be ten as you know and let me tell you, ATTITUDE. He has gone from being a mommas boy to being rough and tough. He still has some little kid tendancies but overall I am not looking forward to him being a teenager. And Amaya, girl she is 9 months going on 25. She has attitude too. It is fun though. I wouldn't change a thing.
