I was 3 days over and at the bingo and i got a little bloody stain show so i went home and went to bed at 4pm i woke up with a feeling of something coming out of me like a gush it was a blob of brownie reddy jelly followed by my waters trust me girls its not like wetting the bed u know when its ur waters its uncontrollable so i stood up and another gush of water i woke my partner up and he just rolled over i wasnt in any pain so i wasnt panicking i was very quite i had my next appointment at 11am that morning i was goin to wait til then cause i still had no pain so i carried on that morning waiting on my appointment and rang the hospital just to explain im not in pain that will i wait till my appointment they told me to come straight in and gave me an internal it was half my waters they said and sent me home till i got contractions so i carried on that day visited my aunts we laugh so much i got tinngley pains like period pains every half an hour so that night i went on a walk and went to bed that night at 4pm that morning (fri) they wer coming every 2 mins but not strong so i went back the hospital i was 3 cm before i knew if so they put me on a drip to bring me along faster still the pain was not to bad but it was my last chance of getting the Epidural i was so scared of what was going to happen i agreed to get it not that i need it at that stage next thing i knew i was 9cm in the space of half an hour with no pain at all them from the epidural it was great especially listening to all the other girls screaming only 5cm and theres me just 10cm ready to push and no pain i screamed i want to go the poo (thats the feeling of pushing) and the nurse said go in the bed so i pushed and the head was coming (not poo) i pushed every time the nurse told me and 20 mins later my son was born i couldn even look at him till they cleaned him my partner was so proud he was crying as was i i got a continues stitch witch i didnt feel and then held my baby the only advise i can give is have plenty of sleep b4 ur due date because its very very tiering and dont worrie its not as bad as people say it is

How We Met

It was 18th September 2006 (tipacal few days after me bday he asked me out!) His mother was getting her house done up (he lives next door) its just the 2 of them in the house & i was off collage on a break Jonathan was in work everyday so i said id give a hand didnt really know Joanthan that well we never bumped into each other strangley enought... i was just after moving back home 2 my mothers but i knew his mother well shes a nutter so i stripped wallpaper, painted in my hot pants lol (It was summer & very hot lol) when Joanthan came home he lend a hand ( He cannt even screw a light buld in!) And we got to know each other more then on the Sunday the 19th Sept Jonathan brought us out for dinner that Sunday 2 the Red Cow we had a great day i had a few drinks settled my nerves he doesnt drink at all (Hates the Taste i make up 4 it tho lol) So i aggreed i would cook us dinner the following day MONDAY! We had steak chis & salad with a bottle of wine Joanthan came in 2 mine as my parents wer away & we watched the film on Sky "The girl next door" How cheese lol We shared a kiss & from then on we havent spent 1 night apart Aww lol...He's also 1 year younger than me toyboy LoL

Finding Out I Was Pregnant

Well it was Sep 3rd my 23rd Bday! I was having a house party with lots of food & drink al day i felt a bit doggey "thinking it was excitment 4 the party" so me & Jonathan went 2 town 4 a chemist to get a test i was so shy asking the lady at the counter 4 a pregnancie test we drove home did the test it said no i could c the disapointment on Jonathans face didnt know wether it was worrie wer not or disapointed wer not its not like we were trying or its not like we wer careful so i carried on had the party that night great time theres a photo in my album of me sitting on his lap posing for a photo of that night the party turned out GREAT! We carried on as normal that following week i phoned my friend Stacey up(she wil b doin godmother) and ask her will she drop round & do a test with me i was so excited i knew this was the 1 i bought the most expensive 1 but that said no then on at this stage i was sick with worrie weres my periods is there something more seriousley wrong Jonathan kept on at me to go the Dr but im a tuff cookie (Scared more like) I kept leaving it off then on the 12th September a Wednesday i was in work and at this stage i was getting worried missed 2 periods and wasnt eating so i rang Jonathan on lunch in work told him im heading the Dr's ill ring him soon as i come out (Little did i know what was coming) I qued up in the Dr's on my lunch break from work nerves thinking could it b cancer could i b goin threw menopause this early... Finnaly my turn to see the Dr He weight me checked my blood Pressure pressed on my belly i told him about the 2 tests telling me no! he said dont be worring ur not pregnant anyway it might be an infection with ur urine ill take a sample so i weed on a stick having to wait 15 min back in the waiting room on the results i swear i had a panick attack worst time of my life ( i went alone 2 the Dr's by my own doin because i was terrifed) So he called me in said ur test is Positive i said fine im not pregnant so what is it "not thinking positive means i am pregnant lol" i was just alll over the place i nearly fell off the chair so he gave me an envlope with some leaflets in it 2 read back home off i went back to work knowing i was pregnant & cant say anything Joanthan & My sister rang 2 c how i got on i couldnt possibley tel them the good news over the phone i just said stress thats why im not getting my periods so i sat it out in work 5 O'Clock dragged in i got home went straight to my room and laught cried jumped on my bed with delight then Joanthan came home i handed him the leaflets he said does this mean u want 2 try have a baby (i swear men there the kids somethimes) Then the penny dropped & he balled his eyes out hugging & kissing me

PS: 30th April Stacey my friend thats doing godmother for us is pregnant congratulations so unfortunealy she cant do it now its bad luck my sister Michelle is going to do it.......

Telling the Parents

were both still living at home as were the youngest out of our siblings i couldnt do it with out laughing lol (nerves) So Jonathan as he lives right next door (Thats a hole differnt story) both our mothers are best friends his dad is not around anymore so the deal was id tell my mother his mother wants him next door as she walked in me and Jonathan was sitting there with his ma and Joanthan just said were having a baby my mother was over the moon his was in shock "my babys having a baby" She was delighted 4 us tho growing up it was always just him & his mother ha ha "hes mine now lol" That was it my father 1st words when my mother told him was i knew she was putting on loads of weight (men again 4 u) i just had to tell 1 of my sisters & it got around the world in 2 min shes like the news of the world i love her tho really iv 3 sisters & being the youngest in the family they were all delighted iv 5 nephews so there all going mad for a niece i dont mind really 4 my 1st so here i am over the moon couldnt be happier id recomend going to mexico if ur trying 2 conceive it must be whats in the water over there or the bubbles in the jaquezey... LoL

Im 32 weeks pregnant and im so excited! Iv had 3 scans from the coombe womens hospital in Cork St, Dublin! And 1 in 3D Dimentions in Blackrock its a must do! U get a 20 min dvd with music in the backround 30 photos on a disc and 4 photos to show the family its cost €195.00 best money iv ever spent!

Im fine thanks! I know everyone on the internet as well seems to be having there baby and im feeling left out! Have they said about inducing you if u go over? Its 10 days here but im gonna ask to be induced earlier than the 10 days!!!
I know i was gonna buy a pineapple as i have heard thats good for starting contractions!
Yes my belly looks more like a beer belly now!hehehe!

I sympathize with you, believe me. I'm sure with today being my last day of work that I'm going to have some boring days a head of me...just thinking about it now makes me cringe. At least while I'm at work I can be on the internet and keep myself somewhat content and occupied. I'll end up cleaning the house everyday even with nothing to clean, just so I'm not laying around! Actually, I think it will be nice to lay around and relax for a while, the days are going to become few and far between when we get the opportunity to do it again when our little ones decided to get here. I'll let you know if I make an progress...you do the same, we'll hang in there together!! Have a nice weekend if I don't talk with you before!

It's good that your man is willing just in case you would be :) My last appointment was on the 7th and the doctor told me she could just get her fingertip into the opening of my cervix so to me it didn't seem like I was making a lot of progress. However, the appointment I had the week before the doctor told me that my cervix was completely closed and still tilted towards the back, so I have made a tiny bit of progress, but nothing major to make me think that she's coming early. I'm due in a week and 4 days so now I'm starting to think that I'm most likely going to be induced if the baby doesn't start cooperating. At least we know we are def. going to be mommies real soon, it's just a matter of waiting a little longer!

Every woman is different with the start of labor. But with the first baby, usually you start labor off with calm contractions, maybe for a day or two, before baby makes an appearance- usually lots of warning. It takes longer to dilate your cervix the first time. But some ladies dilate over a few weeks, so when labor starts, the contractions are stronger from the start.
I just know, with my first, I went in once for false labor, and then, with real labor, labored all day at home before the pain was serious enough to go in. I didn't want to be sent home again. But even then, they had me walk an hour or two to dilate a little more before they would admit me.

Oh my gosh! I know just how you feel! At night, I just want to kick my husband out of bed and have the whole thing to myself.. even then, I don't think that would help. lol I just hate to see what it's going to be like over the next month. I'm soo ready.

Oh, one more thing, you can figure out exactly what kind of transverse lie the baby is in using belly mapping. Our little one is ROT (Right Occipital Transverse) meaning she's lying on her side with her head above my right hipbone. Her back runs up along the right side of my belly, butt just under my right ribcage and her legs and feet occupy the left side of my abdomen. That's one thing you need to be REALLY careful about with a sideways baby. If your waters break you need to immediately get down on all 4's, put your butt in the air and call 911. The biggest risk of the transverse lie is having your waters rupture when they're in that position. Since the head or butt is not blocking the cervical entrance the cord tends to fall out through the cervix and cuts off the blood supply to the baby. Most women don't rupture their bag of waters until LATE into labor (or the doctor will break it for you), but you never know and it's important to have a plan in our position. ;)

Indeed, although I think I will be in it for the long haul. My first was 11 days late, and with this one I haven't had any nesting instinct, I'm still putting off the final things I need to buy for baby, I haven't packed my hospital bag yet, bubs is still moving like crazy and I have yet to lose my mucus plug (with my 1st I lost it 2 weeks before labor). So, all signs point to another looooooooong pregnancy. :( What about you? You having any signs of impending labor?

Hey :) Our little girl did the same thing. She went head down at 28 weeks (we were so proud) lol, but then at 33 weeks she decided to flip sideways and is now (still) in a transverse position. It's NOT normal, no. But it does happen. My doctors are hoping she will turn back before I get to 39 weeks, otherwise I will have a scheduled c-section sometime that week. If I go into labor before that I've been told that unless she has turned I will be given an emergency c-section. Good luck trying to get your little one to turn doll.
