My husband and I are not ready to TTC, but should be within the next year. My curious mind wants to know everything, and how to better prepare my body for what my friends with children refer to as a near death experience.

Welcome to the site. It is wonderful that you are trying to prepare yourself. I wouldn't call pregnancy and childbirth a near death experience by a long shot. It is the most wonderful experience ever!
