Hello Ladies!! Today is the first day i've updated my page since I've became a member. I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant and feeling great. It has been quite an easy, uneventful pregnancy so far. Just a few weeks to go until my schedualed delivery (c section) on March 25! I've got an amazing husband and a wonderful 4 year old daughter who I spend all my time with due to Nicholas job keeping him gone most of the week.. I really love life and cannot wait to meet my new son!

Baby Trent at 25 weeks... anyone else have a 3D ultrasound picture where the head looks so split open? The Dr. said it was completly normal but I haven't seen any other pics like this one...

My hilarious little daughter Taylor being cute as ever...

Taylor at the University of Michigan the day after she broke her neck

A fully recovered Taylor

This is television..

My wonderful Nicholas and I

A few pictures of me at 35 weeks.. just a few more to go and Trent will be here!!

>

Almost 37 weeks.. I'm really loving this huge stomach....:)

Hi!

Congratulations on the beautiful baby!

I'm due to have my baby this Thursday by planned C-section, and am REALLY scared as I've never had any type of operation or anything before. I'd love to hear from you if you can spare 5 minutes from that lovely bundle! Lol. Am I right to be so scared or am i being a wuss??

XXXXX

My daughter had her tonsils and adnoids (sp?) taken out when she was 6--give lots of fluids and dont give MOTRIN--we had to go back to the ER because I gave her Motrin which is not good to give after surgery--Make sure she drinks ALOT even tho she wont want too (popscicles, slurpees, shakes, whatever). Good luck!

hey getting back to u on tonsils thing. omg when i was 14 i got my tonsils taken out, and after that i was really sick for 2 weeks. so it took me 2 weeks to recover or even maybe a lil more. but the first 2 weeks were the worst.
but it depends how old is ur lil girl.. the younger the better and the faster she will get better:) good luck to you .. i hope all goes well;) and good luck with the pregnancy:)

Hey-- I have had 3 babies prior to this pregnancy--My last two I was NOTHING at my 37 week exam-not effaced, soft, dilated-NOTHING. Then both times my water broke that day. No plug loss, either. One minute I was laying on the couch, water broke, two hours later I had him. (Same for the other time but it was more like 6 hours later =) ) So it can happen!

Thanks for the caring and loving confidence booster. I am really looking forward to breastfeeding my baby.

Accupressure, huh? I was thinking about getting an accupressure foot massage to encourage my labor. They do them in the malls around here in my town. I wonder if theyw ill touch me being pregnant, even though you can't tell unless I have on a long tight materni-tee or my sweater coat, tied at my belly. Girl, I am so ready to get this baby out! I ate eggplatn,a nd drank red raps leaf tea and had rough sex and i'm always trying to stim my nipples...NOTHING...WHAT GIVES?

Thanks a bunch for the help.. every new message i get regarding this.. it makes me feel a little bit better :-)

Thanks for responding to my question. I totally feel like I smell like placenta and it makes me afraid that I'm going to gross out my husband when I give birth to our son, with my labor odor! Stupid concern! Haha Just in case, I packed perfumed body wash and lotion. Good luck with your induction. How far along will you be?

mommyjenn - Friday, 7 Mar
Yeah, I am totally freaking out about the spinal. I just dread it so much. That's a good idea to write his name on your hand. I think I will try that. I wish my hubby could be in there when I get the spinal. That is really when I need his support. I am getting so nervous now. I can literally feel my heart beating. I think in part I am a lil scared about having a c-sec again. I just had one 10 months ago! I know that I should just breath and rest easy right now because I think I can feel my blood pressure rising. I cannot wait to meet my lil girl though. It's going to be so different for me. I am so used to having lil boys...lol. At least I can add another female to my house!

my3lilones - Friday, 7 Mar
I HAD A TERRIBLE SMELL TOO IN THE BEGINNING BUT NOT ANYMORE...NOW IT SMELLS LIKE DISCHARGE I GUESS??? THIS IS SO TMI! LOL

niseybear - Thursday, 6 Mar
Hiya! Thanks for the sweet compliment about my son! :o)

Anyway, I returned to work after 5 weeks of leave, it was all hubby and I could afford. I didn't start my leave until I knew I was going to be induced. So my last day of work was November 30th and I returned on January 9th. The first week or two was hard in regards to my breasts only! LOL I wasn't nursing as much so they would fill and I would have to leave work and go home and pump if little man had eaten already. I only work 3 nights a week and every other Sunday and it isn't bad really. I made $110 last night and my section sure looked like I did! LOL I have a fabulous babysitter who charges me nothing and everybody is in the same city. I work in a town called Niceville and that's where the sitter lives and my husband works in a town only about 5 or 6 minutes down the street. It's perfect! He comes to my job to get the 'good' car and leaves me the older one as we both feel more comfortable with Mo in the Cobalt...it's newer....a 2006! So...it's not too bad at all serving and being a mommy. My whole perception on things have changed since Mo came into our lives. I just don't stress as much. Last night was the first night in 3 months where I literally got pissed and was about to explode. That was until the Salad Bar Attendant said something that cracked me up!! Thank goodness!!

So, I know you're healing time will be longer with a C-section but you decide how long you can be gone financially without hurting your family. I hope I've helped. Be blessed.

We back you up hun. You were correct in what you said she is a freak and that is the fact! :)

collsbaby - Thursday, 6 Mar
My cousin had a midwife and was laboring at home, planing on a home birth, and everything was fine, but then she needed extra help because the baby was in distress, so she went to the hosp. So if anything goes wrong with a home birth you just go the the hosp. But if you live far away it can be a problem. But she's very much an 'earth mother' type, so it was her preference to have a home birth with a midwife and no meds. She did with her second baby and everything was perfectly fine. There is no right or wrong way, just what ever you and your hubby feel comfortable with I guess.

mommie2boy - Thursday, 6 Mar
yeah im thinking maybe when I hold my baby (in the non orgasmic hopsital room lol)maybe I will feel the connection of wanting to breastfeed...I guess I will wait and see

mommie2boy - Thursday, 6 Mar

collsbaby - Tuesday, 4 Mar
I was kinda in the same boat as far as already bought the stuff we wanted for our baby girl, but I also had a crap load of 0-3 month stuff (and up) because my SIL has two girls, 4 and 2 and so she gave me all of their baby clothes. This child has more than my husband and I combined now, haha! Anyway, in the invite my mom told everyone that we already had enough 0-6 mo stuff and to get bigger sizes, which i did and it was great. I know you don't really want clothes from these peeps, but maybe they'll leave the tags on them and you can exchange for stuff you'd like. Plus older kid stuff doesn't seem to be as 'cutesy' as baby stuff. Especially for boys. Also I realized that I needed more storage things like baskets and stuff to put little random stuff in like baby socks and stuff. Baby shampoo and soap is always good and doesn't go bad. Do you have a baby bath tub, towels and stuff? Diaper bag, burpie cloths (you always need those!), blankets, bibs. Are you gonna get a breast pump? Do you have a baby sling for the daddy to use like a neutral color for a guy? (Baby Bjorn makes black ones) I got my hubby a 'Diaper Dude' which is a diaper bag for a guy from Target so he doesn't have to feel weird if he has the baby without me. Do you have a good breast feeding pillow like 'My Brest Friend'? I've heard that is the best. Maybe you plan to collect Disney movies or something or Baby Einstein DVD's. Books are always good, Leap Frog type of toys. Do you have one of those shopping cart covers for when the baby is at the store with you and is sitting in the cart? Do you go to the beach/park a lot and need a baby tent/sun shade thing? Baby bassinet or co-sleeper? Diapers are always good too of course, plus they are sooooo expensive! I got a thing called a 'baby briefcase' which is something you keep all the baby's records in and you can take it with you to the doc and stuff. It's pretty cool! Do you have a cute baby boy book yet? Hmmm, I might be out of ideas. haha! But maybe there is something here that you might use. Good luck! And if in a jam, you can always just take stuff back and get the credit. Hope this helps. P.S. your little girl is sooooo cute! that must've given you a heart attack when she broke her neck! My hubby did the same thing! Hello? Don't DO that, haha! ;-)
