My name is ((Christin Alyssa)) and this is my first baby! My fiancee and I have been together for 4 1/2 years now. His name is Jeffrey and he is my true love! Our son was born on August 20th and his name is Isaiah Christian! I was blessed with a great pregnancy and labor and he was all worth all of the wait! I felt like I was pregnant forever but when I look at his face Im still amazed that he was inside of me. He such a good baby and he makes me cry just by looking at him since I love him so much! I have been on this site since I was 10 weeks pregnant and it was the best thing! My fiancee goes to work and school eberyday and didnt really understand what I was going through... I met some great people and Im glad I found it!

hey how ya feeling? anything exciting happening? 21 more hours to countdown til my appt and membrane sweep! i just found an old planner of mine and saw that with my first son born in 2000, i had my membrane sweep on jan 9 and he was born jan 11! my 2nd son was born one day later...yay!! good luck to you!

hey when i was preg. with my son i got my membranes stripped at about 10am i was having contractions that were one min apart by 9 that night. i ended up having to be induced b/c i didnt dialate and then i had to have a csection b/c the cord got around his neck, i dont know how long it normally takes to start labor but i had contractions about 2 hours after my dr did it, hope that helps!!

Hey!
Just checking up on you! That stinks about the spotting...I didn't know, but I talked to my aunt and she said sex softens the uterus, eating alot of balsamic vinegar helps things along 9that is an old wives tale) and lastly, she said get down on all fours - she puts almost all of her patients in that position when they are in the hospital, for some reason it helps! When is the last time they checked you? Are you in any pain down there? Are you having any contractions at all?

Hi...I checked with my doctor last friday and I am also 3 cms. dialted. But she said it could be another two weeks before I go into labor, but these things are so inpredictble. So keep your hospital bag ready in any case. Its good if baby could hang in there for atleast till 37 week though. Good luck.

ooooh! how exciting 4 ya! keep us updated on if you start having any labor symptoms! i am getting my membranes stripped this thursday IF i am dilated at all... i had it done with my last son (now 7 yrs old) and had him that same night in the early a.m. hours though... but i don't want to get your hopes up too much because there ARE women in week 39 and 40 who have had their membranes stripped at 37 weeks and EVERY week thereafter. maybe some docs are better "strippers" than others? either way, when your little one want to come out, they will find the way! congrats!!!

Still waiting? How are you feeling? I heard that getting it on with your man helps cause uterine contractions and softens the cervix - give it a try!!
They offically moved up my due date to Oct 8th now, so happy about that - that way they won't be expecting me to last that long!! I would like to have him Oct. 1st! 39 weeks is PLENTY!

I hope not either, cause when that happened to me I was on bed rest for a short cervix for 17wks and still went a week late after I was up for the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy!!! I see a high risk doc now too, the whole time I've been on, but no problems this time of course:)

How exciting!! My aunt works at St. E's on the maternity floor, helping in delivery and newborn care - she is excellent ask if she is on when you go in Sue Norman is her name. She will take good care of you - tell her you know me. She knows alot about how to get you going with the least amount of drugs and can get the baby in position by moving you around and stuff - I am contemplating taking her with me when I deliver at TMH. Thats where my docs deliver.
Did you continue to walk even when your cervix got alot shorter and he freaked you out? I'm not on bed rest but they are kinda threatening me with it if I don't settle down. I don't feel any pelvic or menstrual cramping like they say contractions feel like - I just get a tightening in my tummy - feels rock hard sometimes, thats my only sign. Sounds like other than the PUPPS you've had a great pregnancy! So far you can't tell I'm pregnant either from behind and no one can really believe I'm 28 weeks along. All of the 16 pounds I've gained went to my boobs and belly so far - if I'm lucky that will stay that way!! My appetite is larger than before but really no cravings...how much have you gained? Do you have any cravings??

Did you go walking today? Do you feel huge or you still getting around ok? Glad your little guy is doing well! Sounds like you can pretty much go now and he will be fine!
I went to El-Azheem today and he moved up my due date from Oct 20th to the 8th since I'm consistantly measuring further along. He is weighing 2 lbs 9 oz and my cervix went from 2.8 to 3.3! Only problem is I'm having contractions - I felt the tightening last night and up until lunch this morning consistantly but haven't really felt anything since. I go back in 2 weeks. I'm going to take a 2 hour lunch from now on to get my feet up and relax in the middle of the day...hopefully that will help. I'm not sure if I asked you but did you do the birthing class? I signed up for one August 9th, the day before my shower.
I will probably be the same way when I get to the end...I'm aiming for 37 weeks and moving things along myself! No reason to wait until 40 at that point! So what exactly is PUPPS? You are allergic to the male hormones? I've never really heard of that. Other than itching does it cause you much pain? Oh, I also passed the sugar test - thankfully!! I got so antsy waiting around for the hour - towards the end i couldn't sit still or concentrate on anything! So do you have your bag packed yet? If so what are you taking? What hospital are you delivering at?

My Fiance can't wait to have children, he love's them!
He has the same option as my, if it happens, then it happens! hopfully sooner than later though, I don't wanna be to old when I have my first, sometime in my twenties!
Awh that must suck having him away from you bascially all day and night! I can imagine you would love to have him there with you!
yes 9 month's is a very long time, it seems to drag by, so iv heard!
that is crazy that you knew what you were having before they even told you lol, usually its the men that want the boys and the woman who want the girls lol.
thats cute though, boys are cute and I hear their easier to deal with then girlis lol

I would of loved to get married before having children, but god know's when ill get married lol,
I guess you could say im not trying but also not preventing it!
I think about it constantly though, which is why I think its taking forever!
Id be nervous to get pregnant though, as its a big CHANGE! but its also exciting!
I deffinatly want a girl, if I had the choice, but as long as its healthy id b happy!
