Hi Welcome to my page. Im 25 and have been married for 3 years in may. We are having our first baby. A boy. His name is going to be Connor Jacob. I was due on April 13 but my Doctor has decided to induce me on the 7th because I have had some high blood pressure off and on since week 20. My baby weighs about 6.7 oz as of the 19th of Feb. I would LOVE to have a natural birth. and would like to here how others have had their births. Im very nervous about different drugs. I dont want any horror stories just uplifting ones.

Friday, 4 April good luck with the acupuncture! can you let me know if it works for you? because my mom goes for it and if it seems to work to induce labor, then i just might go with her and have it done myself. missjess -
Thursday, 3 April dont worry if anyone else thinks your crazy for wanting to do it natural. Theres plenty of woman who still go natural, alot of woman just get really scared of the pain and from others opinions they dont see the point in going through it when meds are avail. I personally do not deal with pain very well, but ive also been through some pretty painful things in life that i dont know how i did it. so, i am going to try my HARDEST to go without the meds, just cuz i will feel prouder of myself if i do, and plus theres always risks with meds. I really dont know if ill be able to do it, but its worth a shot. Every labor is different, and i might just get lucky and have a 'fast and easy' labor? lol, i hope. Stick to your guns and go natural if thats what you believe in! At least you know, worse case scenario, the pain relief is always there in case you need it! good luck to you! monakat18 -
Wednesday, 2 April The labor part is not the hardest to me, it's just the contractions....and I didn't have an epilidual. I have a little girl and she is 15 mons, and when I was having her, the contractions were soo painful, but the labor part was not, I'm pregnant with my second babygirl.....But I hope that everything goes okay for ya! momto4and1tobe -
Wednesday, 26 Mar You CAN do it without pain medication! I did my 3rd labor, which was an induction, without the epidural. Well, I got the epidural, but it was too late and it didn't work. I would NEVER have an epidural again for labor, induction or no induction. Tell the nurses and doctor not to even offer it to you, that will help. You go girl!!! usmcwifey3531 -
Tuesday, 25 Mar I was terrified of getting the spinal blck when I had my C-Section, especially since I couldn't hold onto my husband. It wasn't nearly as terrible as I thought it would be, trust me! And plus, I got to cling on to a RLY CUTE NAVAL NURSE GUY! =) muggles0682 -
Tuesday, 25 Mar I never had any problems with my epidural other than it stoped working right at the end. THey had me roll from side to side on my own (with the epidural in...my legs numb) because the baby was turned funny. During all that rolling I had slid the needle out of place. It didn't do anything to me, I could just feel everything. The doctors are always prepared for things. You will always here horor stories about epidurals but you will also hear great stories. Personally I would get an epidural any day than feel labor/pushing pains. ladobruk -
Tuesday, 25 Mar I am with you; the epidural scares me just as much as labor. Although there a lot’s of women that can do it naturally, I am definitely having one. All my girlfriends have recommended it. They were out of their minds until they got it and then were able to be part of the birth after they received it. My one girlfriend said she can’t remember much up till that point because she was in so much pain. She said it was instant relief. Here they only give it to you between 4-7 cm dilation so by the time you give birth it is wearing off and you can feel yourself pushing, but you are not in excruciating pain. Cryptic304 -
Tuesday, 25 Mar well I highly recommend epidurals to every mommy. I wouldnt give birth without one! They seemed to make the birth more able to be enjoyed and not in so much pain you just want it over with. Im scared to death about not being able to get to the hospital fast enough to have one! pargy -
