My name is Dominique and my husband Eric and I are expecting our first little one Dec. 26! We have been together for 6 years and just tied the knot Oct. 21st 2006. So excited to be expecting and so nervous. Can't wait to give our baby a fun loving home.

07-18-2007- We had a scan today (17 weeks) and said hello to our little GIRL! So excited so meet lil Ivy Lynn:)

12-18-2007- Baby Ivy Lynn was born! Time of birth was 12:26pm. Ivy was 6 lbs 7oz 19 in. long!

Ivy's birth story: I had an amazing labor and delivery experience! I went into the hospital the evening of dec 17th to have cervidil placed around my cervix. This was to soften my cervix for a smoother inducement planned for the next day. The nurse came in around 7:00 am dec 18. I was dilated to a whopping 1 cm so she started the petocin drip. The doc. came in to break my water at 9:00 am. That was interesting, hot gushing water. Wasn`t long after that I asked for an epideral! Contractions were much more intense without the cushion of the water. After the epideral was placed, the hubby and i took a nap. How great to take a nap during labor! The nurse came in to check my progress at 11:00 am. I was almost to 4cm. We went back to sleep until the nurse came in at noon. I had dilated from nearly 4cm at 11:00 to fully YES fully dilated and ready to push by noon! The staff set up the room for delivery in a hurry. I started to push at about 12:10pm. Only had to push through 3 contractions and my lil Ivy Lynn was born at 12:26pm Dec. 18 2007. The doc laid her up near my chest so I could help clean her off and Eric (the hubby) cut the cord. We now have our baby girl comfy and at home with us. We love her so much and look forward to watching her change and grow.
