My name is Jamie and I am a first-time mom. My son was born on September 8, 2008. It's true - you never know what you are missing in life until you have a baby. Now I cant imagine my life without him. I met my husband in 2003, I graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Biology in 2004, we built our first house in 2005, got engaged in 2006, married in 2007 and had Wyatt in 2008! I can only imagine what 2009 will bring. I am currently working towards a Masters degree in Molecular Biology while working full-time and enjoying my little family. Our life has quickly become all about this baby so I imagine 2009 will be full of all of his firsts. And we will enjoy every minute!

My Wyatt is one!! Just one year ago I had a baby growing in my belly and I was 40lbs heavier than I had ever been in my life. This year has been full of ups and downs. There have been a lot of sleepless nights, anxiety, worries, stress. I made it to my goal of one year breastfeeding and both of us could not have been happier! There has also been loads of joy, surprise and happiness. At a year old, Wyatt crawls, babbles (mainly rah rah rah although some da da), climbs and hugs. He also just started giving kisses (although they are open mouthed and very slimey). He is always on the go and loves to be chased. He eats anything and everything in sight by the doublefisted handful. My little baby, the little boy who fit so well in my belly just a year ago is 33 inches long and 26lbs (up from 22 inches and 8lbs 3oz at birth). He is so much fun and just when we think we are in the most fun stage, the next one comes around (rolling over... then sitting... then crawling... then babbling... and now walking!).

wondering if anyone could help me. i've been having these reallly really bad neck pains and headaches for almost a week now. it never goes away and its driving me nuts. also i don't know if it has anything to do with it but for some reason i've been vomitting to which is weird since i am now 13 wks and hadn't had m/s just nauseousness up until this week when the aches started. anyone have a clue what thismight be? at first i thought maybe i had slept wrong or something and the neck pain was a crick which was causing my headaches. but its been like a week and i've tried everything from ice and hot packs to hubby massaging it. hubby has been trying to convince me to go in because i'm literally in pain all day. any input is greatly appreciated. thanks ladies

i feel the same way!! i labored all that time with no pain meds trying to go all natural just to end up with a c-section and an epidural. it was kinda nice though, after all that labor i got instant pain relief but at the same time the c-section isn't fun, it really slows you down afterwards with having to be super careful with everything you do.

ok this is ashame i am asking considering this isn't my 1st child but i just turned 12 wks isn't a pregnancy month like 4 week so does that mean i am now 3 months??? this stuff is so confusing even the 2nd time around lol i remember some ppl say you are IN your 3rd month of pregnancy when u turn 9 wks but is it the same as BEING 3 months??? TIA

also i forgot to ask in my blog. my doc told me yesterday i have a retroverted uterus she reassured me it is very normal and nothing to worry about since it normally goes back to normal as the pregnancy progresses. however i did some research and keep reading it will normally fix itself inbetween the 10th and 12th week. well i'm 11 1/2 wks and she said it was literally folded so far back it was over lapping my cervix. has anyone else had a retroverted uterus??? its my first time hearing about it.

Well ladies tomorrow night I am being induced. I am so excited and scared too. I think I am more worried about my 13 month old more than anything. I hope she doesn't feel replaced, and I hope that I am able to give her all the time and attention that she deserves.
