My profile
I am a mother of a three year old already. She will be four in July. I am pregnant w/ my second child. I had Lillie (my three year old) two months early. I have since had blood clots starting 3 weeks after I gave birth to Lil. The first time I almost lost my left leg. They were severe. They went all the way from my belly button to my ankle. At first they sent me home w/ out doing anything about it. No pain pills or blood thinners or anything. I went back a day later and got yelled at by the surgeon because he had no idea that I had been there the day before. It was like they didnt even put it into my records. The second time they put a filter in to catch the clots from going to my lungs. I battled those about evey month for the first year. Then they have since slowly became more few and far between. I had one last July that tried getting through the filter. I was in ICU and had two surguries everyday. They put this weird ultra sonic things in my legs and plugged them into the machine and it is supposed to end sonic wavies to break the clots up. There were only two people they had ever tried it on and it was me and another woman in the same local hospital as me and she was 40 or so. Unfortunatly it didnt work like it was supposed to on her and she passed away. I guess it didnt break the clots up as small as it did for me.
I have had one clot since I found out I was pregnanyt and I had only been 2 months along. I just really hope I dont have to go through this the whole pregnancy. It is sooo very painful and it is hard to live a normal life.
