I am new to this website but i really enjoy being on it. I am 16 weeks and 2 days pregnant. My due date is july 12. I have had only one pregnancy scare so far. My doctor called a month and a half later with my results from my pap test saying the found mild precancerous cells on my cervix. this could lead to cervical cancer. i went in last week and had a colposcopy done and they said they cant do anything else until after i have the baby. they dont want to cause bleeding or anything. possibly these cells will go away after i have the baby

this is my first baby seeing as though i am only 19. but abortion is so horribly wrong to me so here we are expecting a little one! :) we are extremely excited now.

I get no pay on maternitiy leave, and it will be hard. right now Im on summer break.

i am in the same boat with the darn constipation! its driving me nuts and making me feel so sick... I may call my doctors later after I get off work and if they give me any helpful info I will be sure to share~ Sorry your feeling so sore and swollen... that's the one thing that I have been blessed with is no swelling.

Unless your boyfriend is carrying your child for the rest of the pregnancy, tell him to bugger off and take your maternity leave. It's your body and you will need the rest to be strong enough for labor. You are in your ninth month of pregnancy. Take a break and enjoy some relaxation before you get hit over the head with a completely crazy baby schedule. That would be my advice.

i would just show up then and tell them u want to be checked just in case. They have to check u if u feel there is a problem. that frustrates me u just telling me that they are not taking percaution. U know ur body better than anyone else and they should respect that!

that is how my midwife is, so if u can make it through the day wait till your dr's office is closed and then call L&D because they are always open... and for me at least they give me straight answers and never just say it's normal until they check it out first...

actually i had noticed some blood that wasnt mucose like so I just wanted to get checked and they were asking me all these questions about the pressure I have been feeling and all that and I said I was constipated so come to find out Im not... The pressure was from the baby dropping down so far and the pains that I thought were just gas were contractions.... If your not sure I would call... It's a horrible feeling, hang in there and good luck. Hope that helped

You'll know what they feel like when they come on--BELEIVE ME! There is nothing like it. HMM , how do I explain? It's like your entire ribcage is trying to squeezt through your anus. LOL--you may need a laxative--call your doc to see what you can have. Good luck, I'm only 23 weeks---wish I did'nt have to miss the entire summer being prego. I hate the cold.

It's anytime I lost mine 2 weeks ago and still no baby I told my Dr and he said don't worry about you'll go into labor when your body is ready for it.

What she said is true.... You could go in a few hours and then being your first you could go weeks..... But on the plus side of things she should be okay they say girls lungs mature faster than boys so that's my big fear if i have him b4 37 weeks but if that's what's going to happen that's what's going to happen.... Here it is like 5:15am and I cannot sleep i haven't been able to sleep since i got up to pee at like3:15 which sucks..... I can tell it's not going to be too much longer for me that's how I'am..... when it gets close to time for the baby i can't sleep so I'm keeping my fingers crossed he comes within the next week...... I feel like my cervix is dilated more b/c it pretty much feels like he's tearing me down there...... Any way good Luck and let me know.... It's always scary with your first but once they get here your like damn i shouldn't have been scared like that.... talk to you soon....

Yes, they can tell. They used a cotton swab and swirled it around "down there", then they waited for a couple minutes for the results. It will show positive if it is even a trickle. Hope this helps and good luck! Let me know what happens at your docs!

I would call the Dr. today and let them know what's going on and how you feel..... It could be early labor but it could also be you not knowing what's to be expected.... I don't remember having a loss of appatite with my first pregnancy but i do remember all the preasure and feeling like i had to go to the bathroom and couldn't I have that feeling with this pregnancy... Good luck and let me know how things are going....

I wouldn't stress it too much it might just be the baby dropping when they drop into your pelvis it seems to get heavy and you get a lot of weird preasure in places you didn't even think about..... I was 2 months shy of turning 19 when i had my first and i know how you feel everything is new and the pains you are having can be scary sometimes and makes you wonder what it is.... if the preasure gets too bad or you start having contractions then i would call the Dr. and tell them what's going on......

I could mean your more dilated but then again it could just be the way he/she is laying.... I'm 3cm dilated and 50% effaced i i constantly feel like i have to go to the bathroom too, i have also been having a lot of pains on and off for the last week and went to the Dr. yesterday and i'm still the same but he's low at like -1 stations and his head is right on my pelvic bone, my dr said that's why i feel that way..... I have been on bed rest for about 3 weeks now from early labor... hopefully you can keep your little one in at least 2 more weeks... hope all goes well :0) I am off the at home tributaline in two days and should have Colin shortly after that! Contractions start at the top of your uterus (fundus) and gradually work thier way down. Your tummy usually feels somewhat like touching your nose, during a contraction it is hard more like touching your chin or your forhead.

Castrol Oil is a simple laxative (safe to self induce if you are at least 36 weeks... 37 weeks is better though!) It is an oil you take orally (mixing it in a milk shake can make it more tolerable... it is thick otherwise) Should cause diarrhea which will stimulate your uterus to start contracting... works for some women... but at least it will clean out your system if it does not bring on labor ;0)! Hope that helps...

tell me about it!! I have to walk all the time (well don't have to, but I am obsessed with shopping right now, haha) and even that is getting to be too painful because of this nerve!! It's so annoying!! I keep hoping that mine will come just a little early-like a week or 2 because I am tired of being pregnant!! I know I was born 3 weeks early and was only 5 pounds so I don't know if size has to do with it. But your little one sounds big so maybe they will want you to have her early! :)

I get it too, it hurts so bad! I think it's the sciatic nerve but I am not sure how to make it feel better!
