3/6/08---29 Weeks---Wow!!! My little guy has been moving like crazy today. I just can't stop watching my tummy. It looks like he is trying to break free. Tomorrow is my doctor appointment. I hope to have pictures of the 3D u/s posted on Monday.....if we are able to get some good pictures of his sweet little face.

3/03/08---28 Weeks---I will be 29 weeks on Thursday and have a doctor's appointment Friday. I can't wait. It is always reassuring to go to my check-up and hear the heartbeat and may be get to have an u/s to see our little man. We are planning on scheduling the c-section on May 12th....which mean less than 10 weeks until I get to hold Micah in my arms. Everyone say a little prayer that my glucose test on Friday goes well....This will be the 3rd time so far this pregnancy that I have had to drink that yucky sugar drink and hopefully it will be the last.

2/26/08---27 Weeks---3rd Trimester....Woo Hoo!!! Not much new this week except for the heartburn and sore back getting pretty bad. He is now moving around several times an hour and he has started getting the hiccups frequently.

2/14/08---26 Weeks---My belly is getting bigger everyday and starting to get a bit uncomfortable (not complaining....it is worth every ache and pain) It has become harder to find a comfortable position to sleep and I find myself waking up at least 3, if not more, times a night. My back is starting to feel so sore by the end of the day. I can't wait to get a prenatal massage in a few weeks...hopefully that will relieve a lot of the discomfort.

2/7/08---25 Weeks---My little man is growing big in there. His movements are get stronger and more frequent every day. I also think I felt him get the hiccups once. In 3 week at my 28 week appointment I am hoping for a 3D ultrasound so that we can get a great clear picture of his sweet little face. I have scheduled a date with a wonderful photographer to take some belly pictures with Layne and Gary. She has also agreed to photograph at the hospital when he is born and to take some family pictures a month or so after the big day.

1/21/08---22 Weeks---I was feeling the baby kick and move around really strong today. I looked down and my belly was moving around. At times it looked like I was popping pop corn in my belly. My hubby got home from work just in time to see it. He is about 12 inches long and 1 lb (so the books and websites say) We will get a better estimate when we have an ultrasound at 24 weeks (February 1---24 weeks and 1 day)

1/17/08---22 Weeks---my hubby felt Micah move for the first time tonight. I was sitting on the chair and felt a few really strong kicks. Of course by the time my hubby got over there he was not kicking as strong or as much...but he did feel a kick that was kind of faint. He had his hand on my belly and our little man kicked. I looked at him and he looked at me with a smile on his face. I said "did you feel that" and he said "yeah". He was very excited to finally feel him moving in there.

1/11/08---I passed my glucose test this morning. I am so excited. No strict diet for me this go around. After 3 hours and having my blood taken 4 times....my levels were normal. My fatigue that I have been experiencing must have been from anemia (iron deficiency) I made sure to get my iron prescription why I was at the doctor’s office today. So I am hoping to start getting some of my energy back soon. When I weighed myself at the lab this morning...it was showing 110 lbs...so by my records I have gained 12 lbs and am right on track. I am so excited about adding a precious little boy to our family.

1/4/08—I went to my 20 week appointmet today and failed my 1 hour glucose test...which I was kind of expecting. I go in for my 3 hour glucose test to see for sure, but I had gestational diabetes with my first pregnancy and I feel the same fatigue and extreme thrist that I felt last time. At least I know what to expect this time and hopefully will be able to contol it with a strict diet this go around too. I got to listen to the heartbeart. It was healthy and strong. My doctor said my uterus is now to my belly button...which is right where it should be. I am now at 107 lbs. So the doctor shows I have gained a whopping 10 lbs...my records show 9 lbs. For the last few years after seeing my internalist my weight was 98 lbs....so by the time my OBGYN weighed me...I think I had lost a pound from the morning sickness. Anyway....everything is right on tract. My belly seems to be growing by the minute, however I am still barely squeezing into my one size too big pants. My maternity pants seem to swallow me, but my one size up pants are getting very uncomfortable. ½ way there....I can’t wait to meet my little man.

1/3/08—I am 20 weeks today. My morning sickness has started to ease up---a little. Over the holidays we have chosen the name Micah Lee. It was between Micah Lee and Noah Lee. Daddy was leaning toward Noah and Momma toward Micah. Lee is Daddy’s grandpa’s middle name and was also his Aunt Linda’s middle name. Little Micah’s movements have gotten pretty regular. Usually wakes up and starts moving about one hour after lunch and dinner and then when I lay down for bed (he just kicked me right now....twice at 10:38am....a little off schedule. How amazing to feel my little man moving around in there. I go in for my 20 week check up tomorrow. They are going to do the glucose test at that time (last pregnancy they did not test it until 24 weeks) They are testing it early this week since I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with Anna Elaine (My little Layne bug).

12/26/07—I had the grandparents (Mimi, Papaw, Memere & Pepere) and rest of the family open envelopes for Christmas with the ultrasound photos. Everyone seemed surprised, but very excited to find out it was a little boy. Everyone thought it was going to be a little girl.

12/21/07--I had the big u/s this morning and it's a......BOY!!!!!! Wow...I am so excited and shocked. I will now have one of each.

12/6/07--I am 16 weeks today and I went for my check up yesterday. Everything went well. I got to hear the heartbeat again....still in the 155 range. After much debate...I elected to have the quad screening blood work...I should have the results back in 2 to 3 days. I also talked my doctor into agreeing to an extra u/s at 18 weeks...I begged and pleaded and told him that I just didn't want to wait until 24 weeks to start calling this little one by name. The date is December 21...the Friday before Christmas. I am going to give everyone an envelope with "it's a boy" or "it's a girl" inside and let people open on Christmas.....surely I can keep a secret for 4 days. We will see.

11/30/07--I am 15 weeks and 1 day. I still don't have much of an appetite and quite tired. For the last week or two...I have been having trouble sleeping.---partly due to having a sinus infection and partly having to get up every couple hours to go to the bathroom. My belly has started to pop out, but still trying to squeeze into my regular clothes just a little longer. I felt the baby move again the other night...I felt it stronger than the last time. It felt like (s)he was doing a summersault in there....kind of like a ball rolling around. I can't wait until I start to feel them stronger and on a regular basis. It is so reasurring to feel the movements. I have my 16 week check up next week and I am a litte nervous and excited. Excited that I will get to hear the heartbeat again and nervous that they will be doing the quad test....and I am still not sure if I even want to have it done. I did have it with my first and results were all fine and normal...but it still just makes me nervous until the results come in.

11/15/07--I am 13 weeks today. I am still feeling a little nausea and alot tired. My clothes are already starting to feel a little snug eventhough I have lost 2 lbs since I found out I was pregnant. I currently weigh 97 lbs but I am sure I will start packing on the pounds in no time since I am entering my second trimester and praying the nausea goes away soon. My next appointment is not until December 5th....seems like forever away. I think I felt the baby move this week once while putting my daughter to bed. Felt like flutters or little rumbly in lower tummy. It was very cute as to say..."hello I am here and doing okay"

11/07/07--Went in for my 12 week appointment and we heard the heartbeat. It was such a wonderful sound to hear. Doc said it was about 155 bpm (as compared to my daughter 12 weeks of 175) I can now breath a little bit easier and start spreading the great news!!!

11/05/07--I go into the doctor on November 7th for my 12 week appointment. I am so excited and nervous. I am just waiting to hear heartbeat. This first trimester has been rough. I have had extreme nauseau, tiredness, moodiness...and I don't remember having any of those symptoms with my first baby except for being tired...but with your first baby you are able to sleep a lot more. With the second pregnancy...you are two busy playing with your toddler to get much rest and relaxation...but I am not complaining....I wouldn't change any of it for a minute.

10/26/07---I went to the doctor today at 10 weeks 2 days with hopes of hearing the heartbeat. The baby must have been hiding so the doc did an ultrasound. Baby was healthy and dancing around in there.....yeah.

10/04/07---We went in for our first prenatal appointment today and everything went great. We had an u/s and it confirmed what we had thought....I was 7 weeks pregnant. The baby looked heathly and we got to see the heart beat....it was 166 bpm. We go back in week 12 for our 2nd appointment and should be able to hear the heartbeat with a doppler then. After we hear the heart beat and the risk go down....we will start telling everyone. Can't wait to blab the great news!

I have had 2 boys and am expecting #3. I had both of my other s circumsized and I will have this one also. I just think it's cleaner and their father is and when they get older they might wonder why they were different if we didn't do it. I am a nurse and I have seen some funky stuff on uncircumsized men but that's just my opinion because the more research they come out with says that the most important thing is to keep the area clean and there should be no problems. It is completely up to you. What does the father say? They will do it in the hospital the day you go home or at least 24 hours after birth. It is not hard to manage after. Boys are hard anyway cause you have to get the "quick change" down pat or wear goggles!! LOL! I recommend doing it. Also, you probably don't want to think about this but my husband brought it up. Later on when he starts doing the dirty the women might prefer a circumsized part and he might feel uncomfortable if he is not. Just a thought.

I did not circumcise my boy and I have had no problems with his cleanliness, etc. At three years old, you are supposed to start cleaning inside the foreskin. It was difficult to get myself to do that at first, but I was able to teach him to do it himself, so now it is an easy routine and we just rinse in there every time he gets a bath. He is five now and madly in love with himself down there--I guess it as a stage he going throw--so everything seems great. Good luck making your decision!

I am pumping from work as well, but you cannot microwave breast milk, so no one at the daycare should try. And don't own a dishwasher~ Not all the houses where i am have the hook up capability...

I did contact the hospital, they are checking my immunity, (they must store blood, ugh!), and are going to get back to me a.s.a.p. It's dangerous to baby in the first 20 weeks, the week before birth and 4 weeks after birth. The rest of the time it's dangerous to Mum. So if I'm not immune I'll need antibiotics.

Bloody expert now me!!!! LOL!! xXx

Hi! You can register for cloth diapers making it really easy (look at the fuzzi bunz site). Thats what Im going to do. My friend loves them and has a 3 month old and swears its not too much work and they are really dry. Im going to alternate between the 7th generation ones too. My other friend has a baby and unfortunately said the 7th generation ones leak! Why dont you just buy a few fuzzi bunz and see how it goes? Good luck and its nice to hear that there are some environmentally conscience mothers out there.

afoster - Tuesday, 8 April
thanks for the response. My Dr has me schedule for May 23rd but that is only 2 days before I am due. He is with a team of 12 Drs and they rotate days at the hospital and that is when he is there close to my date. otherwise the time before that will be at 37 weeks and he prefers not to take her then incase the lungs are not fully developed. I am a very small person and I am getting so big and have alot of problems and small contractions already. I am thinking I may go early so I may end up being with another Dr unless he feels he can move my date up to 37 weeks when he is scheduled. I am hoping so. I am wanting this to be over sooner rather than later! Good luck to you!
