Hey! I found my way back to this website after almost a 6 month absence. Its so much better than it was before.
Anyway, being a mother has been challenging. My baby was colicky for about 3 months and I had no help with her. Now she's wonderful though - but she doesn't sleep! She's going to be 6 months and weighs 14 lbs and is 23.5 in long. She still fits into 0-3 month clothes.
I went back to work after 8 weeks because I decided to take the rest of my maternity leave over the summer and now, summer is here. I only work 2.5 days a week and I'll have the whole month of August off to spend with my baby. I can't wait.
Currently, I have a live-in nanny who does everything for me so when I come home from work, I can just play with the baby. i don't have to worry about laundry or cleaning the house. thats going to change soon. Sienna's aunt is moving in in about a month to take over the child care reponsablities. Can't wait.
The babys father has fullfulled all of his promises. He continues to see the baby regularly and pay his child support without complaint...so thats good.

hi just read the comment about your ex wanting to take your baby for 3 days, i personally would feel uncomfortable espcially since he lives out of state and could take her , i would not let anyone take my baby for more than a day until they were a yr old, apart from my own mother, not even my mil can take him for more than a day, i say trust your instincts and just explain to him you don't feel comfortable with that just yet, maybewhen shes a bit older.

Rowan is 6 months today and she doesn't say gaga mama dada yet. Just cooing and screaming. All babies develope differntly and I"m sure there are things she can do that other babies can't do. I wouldn't worry

Ya my body has gotten used to it to. My parents take Liam every Saturday night so I can get some sleep, but it really doesn't do me any good. I'm so used to not sleeping it screwes up my body when I do! I've got him on solids, I've tried letting him cry it out, tried the no cry method and nothign seems to work. I think that he still needs to get a little stronger before I try letting him cry it out again. I need to rool him from side to side to help him fall back asleep. And he is waking up at least 5 times a night. So, I am very, very, very tired. lol How are you coping though? Any tricks I can try???

yeah, so now he's decided to get an apartment and trade in his truck that's paid for, wtf? Merritt told me that he wouldn't have to pay the rent but Pat says otherwise. So I asked him y he was moving out. He said cuz its time. I said that he has other responsibilities. To ask his mommy for some money cuz she's rich as hell. Apparently he didn;t know I knew that. He got pissed and told me she is strapped right noe and I needed to quit talking to Merritt. He is such a f'n liar. He said can't you find a cheaper daycare. I told him I was going to have a bunch of Schwoogs keeping my baby. That's an inside slang term for these sorry trashy bitches that populate the south. I can;t even begin to type all the shit I said to him. i bitched about how little he works b/c he always takes off and that's why he never has any money. And how is he would be a man and have grown up conversations we wouldn;t be having this convo a week before Taylor starts daycare. And we needed to sit down and talk, not over lunch and I was going to show him how much I spend on Tay every month and I wanted him to show me how much he spends every month to show me y he never has any money. Get this..he say fine, I'll be bac on Tuesday - wtf? I said where are u going now? -he says to see my best friend that i haven't seen for 3 yrs. and i asked and u won;t be back until tuesday (yesterday was wed.) I found out from Merritt that he is going to a fishing tournement with greg first then going to the lake with his friend. So i said ok so i get off at 5 so we'll meet right after that, can u do that. none of this water skiing shit? can u make your son a priority for once in ur life? and he said FINE - so I said Fine and hung up

Hey good to hear from you. I had one small glass of wine on New Years, but I was snacking at the same time and didn't even get a buzz. I'm gearing up for a trip w/ my hubby on 1/20 to Atlanta for a couple of days. I'll drink then for sure. I hope it doesn't dry my milk up! That sounds terrible. I wonder if Sienna has a little touch of colic since she's waking up consistently at the night? I have a bassinet that I keep by my bed and Jack sleeps there. He hasn't even slept in his crib yet. Our house is pretty spread out and his bedroom is split from the master and I'm a little worried about him being that far away. I will probably continue to let him sleep in the bassinet until he's either too big, or he sleeps through the night. I feed him at 10:30p.m. then he sleeps till about 3:30-4:00, then sleeps again till 8:00. Not a bad schedule. I'm pumping like crazy, but only getting an ounce or so each time. Jack is satisified, but no extra. I think I'll start him on a bottle of formula at night before bedtime soon. Are you enjoying being off work? I totally love it! I wish I never had to go back.
