If you don't mind me asking..... when did you have your miscarriage?? How far along were you?

gladek - Friday, 13 June
lilymae-
I have been feeling movement since the end of week fourteen (I am 16.5 now). It started with just one or two little flickers everyother day or so, but now is already much more regular, throughout the work day, still just light flutters and flicks, with a little flop mixed in every once in a while. Its so cool! (This is my first pregnancy to get this far!)

delancyfour - Saturday, 7 June
Thank you! I just feel bad for her! I have had 2 miscarrages before but I was not that far along. I will just be there for her. Thanks for making me feel better!

Hi! Jitzu found something somewhere on the internet that said that they only recommend three ten minute sessions a week.

cutemommy2b - Sunday, 1 June
This coming Tuesday, so excited I'm having a u/s. Do you think the DR will be able to tell me the sex yet???? Suspense is killing me, I really really wanna know.

cutemommy2b - Sunday, 1 June
Thanks for tips, they helped I did eventually find the heartbeat it was amazing, when is ur next app?

jbeanhead77 - Friday, 16 May
I got on ethat say 10 weeks, but maybe its too early. I hear the baby's hearbeat but get no reading so I find comfort in that. My next appt is the 23rd so I am going to take it with me and have the Dr. show the correct positioning and all.

snoogy - Wednesday, 14 May
you're the first person I've heard of going through a similar situation as me. I think the worst thing besides loosing the baby - was knowing that I carried him/her for over two weeks and baby was gone. I ended up hemmoraging in emergency for seven hours. Until my blood pressure dropped suddenly and they rushed me to the OR. I have to say though, the doctor didn't do a full D&C...he didn't want to damage the lining of my uterus so he just used a suction tool (as he explained it) and helped clean out the uterus.

I have to say with this pregnancy, I feel completely different.

bigmuma - Wednesday, 14 May
So did you have another check up to see if there is one swimming around or does it have a play friend?? How exciting and scarey lol.

Berrymama - Monday, 12 May
Words of advice. The doppler is not very accurate if it is digital. The best thing to do is count them yourself dor 30 seconds and times it by two.. OR one full minute. What happens a lot of times it averages your heart rate in there as well. So usually I just count. Even with my readings that are close like 155, when I count I get in the 160s. Hope this helps.

boogies mom - Monday, 12 May
Hi lily. I just bought a doppler. The heartbeats will confuse you. The slower heartbeat is your heartbeat. If you put the doppler on your heart, it will probably be the same as what is showing up.

the faster beat is typically the baby. it will probaby be high, espeically since you are early. when I was 10 weeks mine was 182. Now its about 165.

As long as you hear the fast, washer machine type sound, thats constant, you are good. Don't worry about the monitor on the doppler. Its best to get an accurate reading from the ultrasound since the doppler doesn't account for the baby moving around, etc.

ourfirstone - Monday, 12 May
Hi! I've rented a doppler too. The babies heartbeat is usually between 140 - 160. Not sure if 200 is high or not. Just give your doc a call and ask. If they're concerned, they'll probably have you come in for a check up. It is possible you have 2 in there...but it could be an echo you're picking up. Good luck!

Shan - Monday, 12 May
That would be very high for the baby (170 and 200). Are you sure that's the numbers you got???? I'd try again. Maybe something is wrong with your doppler.

escamil202 - Monday, 12 May
You heart beart was likely the one in the 90s. The baby moving aroundcould be anywhere from 130s-a little over 200. If the heartbeat stays in the 200s for more than a few minutes, should call your doctor.

stacy5175 - Sunday, 11 May
Hi! It took me a week or two to be able to find the babies heartbeat consistently. I first got the dopler when I was around 10 weeks...now I'm 15 1/2 and I can find it much easier. I also had a subchorionic bleed around 7 weeks....then they told me I lost a twin. I haven't had any bleeding for a few weeks now.

kmoiphy - Sunday, 11 May
the low one is yours the 170's is the baby and the placenta and then the 200 is usually a comba of two.

JackaMumma - Sunday, 11 May
lilymae - I got a doppler around week 10. My baby's heart rate seems to sit around 138, but sometimes the alarm on the doppler goes off to say too high or too low, then I find it again and its 138 for a couple seconds. Maybe I was finding my own heart beat for the too low one. Anyway, I only use it now once every couple of weeks - I think on one hand they are great and give relief, on the other they can cause stress (and have been warned not to use it too much as there is not enough research to determine whether it might harm the baby). Best wishes.

lilpeapod - Sunday, 11 May
The heartbeat in the 90's is yours and the 170's heartbeat is the babys. The baby's heartbeat should be much faster than yours also. I had a heartbeat once in the 200's then I changed the battery and it stopped. Not sure if that had anything to do with it but I haven't had a 200 heartbeat since. Congratulations on your baby!! Happy Mother's Day!

ML28 - Sunday, 11 May
the hb in the 90's is yours, the 170 is probably the baby's and the one in the 200's your prob picking up the hb as well as ur own pulse at the same time. go to www.fetalassure.ca u can listen to what it is supposed to sound like, they have a demo.

mommyinoctober22 - Sunday, 11 May
i have a fetal heart doppler, the thing is that the baby is very low, for the first couple weeks i kept getting my pulse which was in the 90's and if you move it or if the baby is moving sometimes it picks that up instead of the heartbeat, the heartbeat should be around 130-180 is normal, but i hear my baby's heart right above my pubic bone.

Joy-S - Sunday, 11 May
The heart beat in the 170's is the baby and the beat in the 200's was the placenta. If you are still curious you could always call your doctor and ask what they think! Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!!

crystalmooon - Sunday, 11 May
almost everytime I use my doppler I find at least two heart beats - my own and the baby's. When I first got it I sometimes thought that when I got the baby it sounded like there was almost an echo or another heartbeat near it. My doc said that it's normal and didn't mean twins. but the only way to really be sure of twins is ultrasound.

Huffyhedgie - Sunday, 11 May
I bought a fetal doppler and I can't seem to find the baby's heart beat period. I am not a tiny girl so I am thinking maybe I should be further along or something? A heart rate of 200 couldn't be a good thing if this was a baby but your overies sound very similer to a heart beat. Do you have any advice on how I should find the baby's heart rate? I had an ultrasound at around 6 weeks and the baby had a nice heart beat.

preciousangels2 - Sunday, 11 May
The one in the 90's I'm guessing could have been yours? The one in the 170's was most likely babies and what you picked up in the 200's was, if I remember right, the umbilical cord.

my2ndbaby - Sunday, 11 May
I have one of the dopplers, but it does not show the heart rate. The only reason I can think you are getting a heart rate of 90 is you might be picking up your own heart beat. Move it around a whole bunch and see if you pick up something else. Otherwise ask your nurse about the one you are picking up when you go back to your appointment. Hope that helps! Good luck!
