Shan - Monday, 12 May That would be very high for the baby (170 and 200). Are you sure that's the numbers you got???? I'd try again. Maybe something is wrong with your doppler.
escamil202 - Monday, 12 May You heart beart was likely the one in the 90s. The baby moving aroundcould be anywhere from 130s-a little over 200. If the heartbeat stays in the 200s for more than a few minutes, should call your doctor.
stacy5175 - Sunday, 11 May Hi! It took me a week or two to be able to find the babies heartbeat consistently. I first got the dopler when I was around 10 weeks...now I'm 15 1/2 and I can find it much easier. I also had a subchorionic bleed around 7 weeks....then they told me I lost a twin. I haven't had any bleeding for a few weeks now.
kmoiphy - Sunday, 11 May the low one is yours the 170's is the baby and the placenta and then the 200 is usually a comba of two.
JackaMumma - Sunday, 11 May lilymae - I got a doppler around week 10. My baby's heart rate seems to sit around 138, but sometimes the alarm on the doppler goes off to say too high or too low, then I find it again and its 138 for a couple seconds. Maybe I was finding my own heart beat for the too low one. Anyway, I only use it now once every couple of weeks - I think on one hand they are great and give relief, on the other they can cause stress (and have been warned not to use it too much as there is not enough research to determine whether it might harm the baby). Best wishes.
lilpeapod - Sunday, 11 May The heartbeat in the 90's is yours and the 170's heartbeat is the babys. The baby's heartbeat should be much faster than yours also. I had a heartbeat once in the 200's then I changed the battery and it stopped. Not sure if that had anything to do with it but I haven't had a 200 heartbeat since. Congratulations on your baby!! Happy Mother's Day!
ML28 - Sunday, 11 May the hb in the 90's is yours, the 170 is probably the baby's and the one in the 200's your prob picking up the hb as well as ur own pulse at the same time. go to www.fetalassure.ca u can listen to what it is supposed to sound like, they have a demo.
mommyinoctober22 - Sunday, 11 May i have a fetal heart doppler, the thing is that the baby is very low, for the first couple weeks i kept getting my pulse which was in the 90's and if you move it or if the baby is moving sometimes it picks that up instead of the heartbeat, the heartbeat should be around 130-180 is normal, but i hear my baby's heart right above my pubic bone.
Joy-S - Sunday, 11 May The heart beat in the 170's is the baby and the beat in the 200's was the placenta. If you are still curious you could always call your doctor and ask what they think! Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!!
crystalmooon - Sunday, 11 May almost everytime I use my doppler I find at least two heart beats - my own and the baby's. When I first got it I sometimes thought that when I got the baby it sounded like there was almost an echo or another heartbeat near it. My doc said that it's normal and didn't mean twins. but the only way to really be sure of twins is ultrasound.
Huffyhedgie - Sunday, 11 May I bought a fetal doppler and I can't seem to find the baby's heart beat period. I am not a tiny girl so I am thinking maybe I should be further along or something? A heart rate of 200 couldn't be a good thing if this was a baby but your overies sound very similer to a heart beat. Do you have any advice on how I should find the baby's heart rate? I had an ultrasound at around 6 weeks and the baby had a nice heart beat.
preciousangels2 - Sunday, 11 May The one in the 90's I'm guessing could have been yours? The one in the 170's was most likely babies and what you picked up in the 200's was, if I remember right, the umbilical cord.
my2ndbaby - Sunday, 11 May I have one of the dopplers, but it does not show the heart rate. The only reason I can think you are getting a heart rate of 90 is you might be picking up your own heart beat. Move it around a whole bunch and see if you pick up something else. Otherwise ask your nurse about the one you are picking up when you go back to your appointment. Hope that helps! Good luck!
debora - Saturday, 10 May the bump is cute.
Mine is not showing too much. I hide in my height.
I thing I will carry vertically and not protrude as much.
But we'll see...
kamo - Friday, 9 May You're very welcome. We are all here for support! Keep me posted on how things are going.
clarissa1983 - Friday, 9 May I'll post some pics as soon as I have some! You have no idea how releived I am that someone else looks as big as I do this early on! Even if you are on the other side of the world =)
mariettap - Thursday, 8 May Hi lily. Congratulations on your pregnancy. In the fall I had a 10wk appt and my midwife asked if I wanted her to try with the doppler. She said you usually can't even hear it yet, and she didn't want me to get scared if we didn't find the heartbeat so early, so she didn't want to just go ahead and do it and frighten me. Of course, if I just got one, I'd have it out of the box in a "heartbeat," just to play with it!
xobeckyxo - Thursday, 8 May your little girl is too cute
xobeckyxo - Thursday, 8 May You have such a baby face! You don't look 26 at all! *that's a good thing* I had a bump very early too, I think it's mostly bloat.
clarissa1983 - Thursday, 8 May Oh my god lilymae, thank goodness I came onto this site and had a look at your pictures! I'm 9w 4d and I look like I could be 5months!!! I am already in maternity wear and everyone is noticing, saying "Oh congratulations you're pregnant!" I thought I was the only one! BTW you look great!
queenb1979 - Thursday, 8 May You have a tummy!! I thought I was the only one that looked like that at 7 weeks. You look great!!
Larkspur69 - Thursday, 8 May I hear most women carry bigger on 2nd too! (stomach muscles remember the previous pregnancy and loosen much faster) You are GORGEOUS!! PS... I'll bet you aren't experiencing the excruciating stabs of tummy stretch on this baby like most of us newbies!!
PS... I just unbuttoned my pants...yours look so much more comfortable!!! I wonder if maternity wear is cheaper in the states??
lil-mish - Thursday, 8 May I think you look totally great & not like a hefalump! =)
gigi - Thursday, 8 May Thanks, I feel like a moose so I appreciate the comment!
kamo - Wednesday, 7 May NO, you do not look like a hefalump!! You look like a georgeous pregnant woman! You are carrying big for 9 weeks, but I was too. I think I was too big since 8 weeks. However, this is our second and the uterus has already stretched and will strech faster than if it was our first. I also carried big with my first. But you know what, both our babies were born healthy and happy and so will this one! CONGRATS! Besides, this is the only time we have an excuse to eat and be a hefalump :)
